    throttle limit is actually insane, put it to 50% ,train lines, go full speed, do it again. and pro tip: use a stacksaver, they are like 3 bucks and it will save you a lot of escs/flight controller. well made video btw. happy flying :D

    I built a slow quad for drl simulator and I'm way faster with it on a gp course. I was wondering if throttle limit was a thing, now I know. Thanks for sharing how to get this set up.

    I agree with your theories for the most part, especially when it comes to throttle limit, but I think that learning to fly at different camera angles is something you should do early on. In my experience, people that the people who learn to only fly at one angle have trouble adjusting later, which is important if you start to get fast enough to need steeper angles like 55-60 degrees. By learning the mechanics behind camera angle and learning to approximate the required movements and adapt, you gain a skill you otherwise wouldn't be practicing. This will help you go between something like a Tiny Whoop and a 5" race quad with more ease.

    • @ErgoFPV
      @ErgoFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh, I absolutely agree. I noticed that myself too - as soon as you put enough stick time into several rigs with different cam angles you don’t care that much about it anymore. But you have to get a grip on both extremities, 10 degrees for tiny/cine whoops and 50-60 degrees for racers.

    I wondered because this first didn’t work for me with my Tango 2. But figured out why: Tango II XF 6.10 delivers the option to bypass gimbals which saves about 1ms latency. So if you want to use different Throttle Limits over a Switch be sure not to select any mode in general radio settings. It will only work if you select freedom tx like in the past in general radio settings of the tango 2.

    It's not only good for racing - one can benefit from it also in freestyle - if normally not using 100% of throttle - by adding throttle limit the resolution goes up - and it's pretty obvious that with more resolution comes more precision (imagine a deep dive followed by a tight gap)

Can u suggest me wht bitaflight vertion I need and pid tunes wht modes is best for cinehoop ... Can u pls share yr cinehoop experience with us ???

    • @ErgoFPV
      @ErgoFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. Not sure if you have seen that already, but you can find the details of my Cinewhoop setup on the build page rotorbuilds.com/build/20986
      One caveat though - my build is rather unusual as it is very light and was put together for carrying a Hero 5 Session camera. For larger GoPros it would be fairly underpowered. I don't have a lot of personal experience with "classic" Cinewhoops, but JB recently did a pretty good roundup on a few of them, maybe that can be helpful for you th-cam.com/play/PLwoDb7WF6c8lphYruuwDNLR4TP0_u3Xaa.html
      But yeah, thanks for the suggestion, probably my Cinewhoop setup might be interesting to some pilots out there, so I might make a video on it.

    Brother really yr information is logical nd easy to consume ... I like it ... Thanks for yr all info in this chanel ..I saw one by one ... For this vedio I hv a condition ....u make a throttle cap switch that's great nd easy nd handy much ....but did u said when we need to chenge cap mean after use 100 throttle at some place I decide to go with 70 % then I need to disarm my quad first ,??????? Can't I apply it during a running quad ? Pls let me conform that part ? If somehow I manage to adjust throttle % at running quad it will be easy more ..... Do u hv any suggestion bro ?

    • @ErgoFPV
      @ErgoFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t have to disarm the quad to adjust the limit. If you manage to take your fingers off one of the sticks and turn the knob while keeping the quad in the air - you can do it. The limit is applied in real time as you change the knob position. In the video I disarm the quad to check where the limit is at, and to do that I raise throttle to the maximum and see what the throttle indicator in Betaflight OSD shows. But you can totally do it by feeling while in the air, and if you have a radio with side sliders, like X9D, you can even make it comfortable.

    does it work on flysky transmitters (in my case i6X) as well? ...btw. you are THE guy!!!

    • @ErgoFPV
      @ErgoFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I don't think you can make it work on i6X because it does not run OpenTX and offers less customisation options. What you can do instead is use the OSD menu if you run Betaflight 4. You go to the OSD menu by throttle to the centre, yaw left, pitch forward, then enter PROFILE, then RATE, then page down to see THR LIM * options. You set THR LIM TYPE to SCALE and THR LIM % to the desired throttle cap percentage. Then you yaw right to bring the quick exit menu and choose SAVE & EXIT. It is less convenient than a potentiometer because you need to bring up and navigate the menu. Even more, it does not allow you to quickly check what the cap is at because throttle indicator in the OSD shows the position before Betaflight does the capping, so it always shows 0-100% and to see the actual cap you need to visit the menu. But performance wise it is the same, so you can use it for getting better at track lines exactly as I did in the video. Cheers!

      Could it be that the knob is not calibrated properly? On QX7 there is a small dead zone at the beginning of the range but otherwise the whole rotation is working. There is a calibration option somewhere in OpenTX menu, I would try it.
