She'd converted it so it had electric pickups and used to run her Metallica tracks through various guitar pedals, including a distortion pedal. It was one of 3 that she owned, including a concert pedal harp.

2:33 Fade to Black's lyrics aren't as literal as most assume. Despite the song being an obvious reference to suicide and one's suicidal thoughts. It was actually written in direct response to the band's musical and stage equipment being stolen from the back-stage area of a show they performed at.

It helps me to truly appreciate how great, great metal music is in comparison to other great forms of music when you hear it on an instrument like a piano or violin. It seems to me that a piece of music such as this would have been appreciated by many revered classical composers, and perhaps expanded. By any standard the melody of this song for instance is beautiful.

Formats like this show that there are really great compositions among rock and metal music! And it is no coincidence that, when played the french horn in my youth, most members of the brass section including me loved rock and metal! Nice reaction! Greetings from Germany 👍🤘

I think most people know this as a memory of their darkest moments in their lives, i sure do, but, it's been so long now that the feeling is finally completely gone even when i listen to this, we are stronger then we think, bad times come and go.
