I don't think SA2 is the end. The reason why Shadow beats Silver is because of chaos control, which he didn't use in the green jungle fight (otherwise Sonic, who still lacked knowledge of this ability, would also be dead). By the second encounter Silver could have learned chaos control the same way Sonic did and be on part with Shadow.
Plus, this was Shadow when he was still finding his footing. 06 Shadow is around where he knows who he is, found his way of life, and made his decision to keep fighting like he always has. So with SA2, Silver would be at his equal height of power. If not, more.
Both of you make very valid points. Sonic was already pushing Shadow to his limits with speed alone, Silver’s psychokinesis may have given him the edge as well, pushing Shadow even further. I do have a question though. Who wins; inhibitor ring Shadow or Silver ?👀
Having Silver playable again, would be great! He is such an underused character and its a shame to see him being left out all the time. He was great in the comics and basically stoped the metal virus
The true hero tbh. I wonder if he didn’t get taken out near the start of everything if the issues would’ve been resolved quicker? Came back at the buzzer to do what needed to be done though
The thing about Silver vs Shadow in 06 is for one Shadow is using Chaos Control, which gives him a big advantage and for another thing, that's already Shadow with Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog under his belt. In SA2 Sonic beats him fair and square, but by the time of Generations, it's Shadow that lets him win, who's on basically the same power level as in 06. All the while in 06, Silver would wipe the floor with Sonic if it wasn't for Amy. I'd assume the same holds for SA2 Shadow without the Chaos Control.
Amy is the underrated GOAT of the Sonic series and I honestly don’t think half of the story events would unfold the way they do without her. Going back to the trio though. Silver had to give Sonic the 1:1, but Elise kept getting in the way lmao. I do have to stand firm that silver is just behind Sonic + Shadow though just due to battle experience they have.
Ok first great video! Sliver needs more love. Second if Sliver was the main character instead of Sonic would him not beating Shadow in 06 not matter? If Sliver were up against Shadow based off the story of SA2 Sliver and Shadow tie first and then second fight and then Amy talks to Shadow when everyone is trying to stop the ark. And Shadow then helps.
Glad you enjoyed it! I had considered that, but wanted to have as much backed-up evidence as possible as to why Silver would lose. My line of thinking is that, the characterization and skills of Silver are the exact same, hence him not besting Shadow. Now that you mention it though, Amy being the one to still save the day makes sense, but I’d imagine her realizing that Sonic (Silver in this case) was defeated after all would make her lose hope (?)
@@Jiggyx3 I don't know if Amy would lose hope cause I don't think she sees sonic is ok until shadow is "dead" Then again I don't remember if Amy was in the room when Gerald message was live for the world
Never really thought about those aspects of SA2 until this conversation lmao. Where WAS Amy during all that? Maybe searching for Shadow and then the scene we see is her finally finding him
Ok I checked and she is in the part where they watch the diary my bad. Tho she doesn't do anything but find shadow so while she's waiting she happened to run into him.@@Jiggyx3
Ahhh makes sense! She probably felt it was the only thing she could do at that time, but it was the most important choice she could’ve made at that moment tbh
Cool video but you didnt need to mention him being a time traveler. Especially when the video is mainly about if he can beat the older sonic games on his own.
I appreciate you watching, and am glad you enjoyed it! Keeping in the time-traveler info is pretty important though, as the setup I put forth is “He’s trying to stop Eggman at every turn even though he’s unsure of what specific instance causes the problems”. Sure, said setup could be considered arbitrary, but it helps with the immersion factor of the video.
i think silver ould get past sa2 bc remember, shado gets stronger overtime, just as sonic does, so hence silver is fighting a less strong, less experienced shado than he did in 06
I can see that argument being valid! Someone else had mentioned that SA2 Shadow is essentially “rusty” as well, so Silver being caught off guard, but swiftly adapting is believable too
Since Archie isn't canon unlike IDW, I personally would've used IDW panels to make the point a bit stronger, though I acknowledge its a nitpick.Unfortunately for my second favorite character, I disagree that he would be able to take both Forces and especially Frontiers due to Silver's lack of Sonic's trademark speed. While it could be perhaps be further argued that Sonic wasn't carrying the Avatar out of Null Space, (as in doing most of the work) the same can not be said about the beginning of Frontiers where Sonic was the only one to escape cyber imprisonment because he was fast enough. This includes Amy who has shown to be faster than Silver and is a Speed type. (of course this by extension, even though it was covered, means I don't think Silver can clear Generations either since to restore time it takes a speed feat as well according to Tails.
You kinda cooked with this, ngl. I really wanted to avoid using comics, but you’re right about how I should’ve utilized IDW over Archie seeing as it’d have more canon ground work. As far as the types coming into play, I still think Silver could’ve done it as I mentioned the keeping pace with Sonic and Infinite. Man, I wish we got more detailed metrics/explanation for why Sonic could restore time, almost escape a black hole, and get out of null space so that the speed conversation could have a better backing overall.
@@Jiggyx3 After rewatching the three fights he has with the two of them It seems Silver only really can keep pace speed wise in 1 of them. In 06 Silver can not match Sonic's speed but relies on stunlocking you to death once you dare to get close. (which to be honest fits him better, I always liked the idea that of him turning a opponent's biggest strength against them) While Infinite quite easily beats Silver after a brief clash. (though to Silver's credit he makes him drop another Phantom Ruby prototype/copy with the few hits he does get in) The outlier ironically enough being Generations where Silver indeed seems to keep pace with the Blue Blur, boost and all. Though with the caveat that in the vid I saw you could still get into homing attack range without boosting. Its basically the same principle as Dragon Ball and the first Sonic movie, yes Sonic can reach immeasurable speeds far outpacing light like he claims in Colors DS but he doesn't always run at these kind of speeds as doing so unneeded wastes energy and can potentially cause some unnecessary damage. Boosting for instance, which causes damage just by running into things at a higher speed, according to Unleashed's SPD meter at top speed is 9x the speed of light.
We don’t need another generations remake, but Sonic Team could do the funniest thing of all time and remake Forces to be good/ have us see Silver doing his thing 😭
Or Sonic Team could just make an improved official multi-platform polished remake of Sonic 06 with better writting. That idea is one of the most possible ones because lately the person at SEGA who was a producer of the original 06 game acctually said that he wants to have an opportunity to remake that game!

I'm glad Project 06 is just considered the canon version at this point
Chaos and the team did such a phenomenal job, it’s hard not to feel like it’s the canon version 💀

Silver The Hedgehog.

I like both of those possibilities tbh. I just need it to be fire 🔥
You say you want to use game canon but don't use IDW?
IDW is Game Canon
its no use!
