Very good work, love it! 👍☺ Siku used these headlights for all Models between 1963 - 1972, as single or double Headlights. Only a few models had plastic frontlights, like the Mercedes 250 SE or the Mercedes 600 ( Lone Star Roadmaster used these kind of Headlights for the early carmodels too )The scale was allways 1:60 for all vehicles from 1954 till 1973. Since 1974 - maybe 2000 scale 1:55. Then different scales, cause it have to fit in the same Blister Packing. From 1954 - 1962 they are made in plastic, since 1963 in diecast. Regards from Germany. ☺
Good work👍 to restore the headlights I use fake diamonds (plastic) form cheep earings or something like that - some of them have the perfect size and look very original
your front end is way better, I agree with some of the other commenters, your paintwork is head and shoulders above the rest. I REALLY appreciated the fact that you properly painted the lower front and rear valence panels, instead of taking the easy way out and leaving them bare metal with the bumpers.
Another astounding reversion from trash worthy to museum ready! Perfect colour and exciting wheels, especially compared to the original. The choice to close the wheels is undeniably correct and the owner will be well pleased I’m sure! Keep up the superb work!
Haha! In Germany we called the SIKU - wheels "asphalt cutting discs" because they have been on every model so thin ! SIKU- cars looked always good with the diamond headlights but the wheels were awful. Greetings and best wishes for 2020 !
Two iconic sounds that let us know we're in for a thrill: - The opening theme from *Jaws*. - Blub blubblub blubblub blubblub As always, superb job, that paint is ah-MAZE-ing!
Looked like a Jaguar body at first. Waaaaayyyy better after you modified the front end. Love that Blood Red candy. That would be a great color for a 57 chevy or ford truck or a 66/67 chevy nova!!!!
You did a good Job 👍...Siku is a popular Toycar brand here in Germany like Hotwheels in the US every kid here plays with Siku cars me too when i was a Kid 😊 And today i collect the old Siku castings from the 60s to the 80 s and my favorite are the "1000" Series they have a special Design on the wheels ... your C3 Corvette is a " V" Series that mean 60s to 70s thats a old casting
Great job as usual. Love the colour. I would like to just add a suggestion on the headlights. Great idea to close them but if possible making lines to simulate the doors would have been great.
amigo JIMMY impresionante gran trabajo DE CUSTOM PERSONALIZADO UN CAMBIO AL 100X100 FANTABULOSO VOLVIÓ A LA RESURRECCIÓN TREMENDO VIDEO FELICITACIONES 😲👍👏🤝
Great job with the resto-mod and paint. I am a sucker for fleck metallic. That casting sure is wonky, especially the fitment of the front bumper/base and the ultra-thick window frames. I love your putty work, too.
WHUUUUT?!?!? this is such a heavy difference between start and finished project! WOW! Looks amazing what you did there!! SIKU was part of my childhood btw.
They call that "polishing a turd." Nicely done! Not the best casting of a Corvette, but your attention to detail, and the removal of those headlights definitely helped step it up a TON! I'd sit it on my shelf!
SIKU are still going strong. They make really beautiful smaller scale diecast models. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money. Your end result looks superb. As always, your paint job just knocks it out of the ballpark.
Siku was THE brand for me as a kid. Models were more detailed and more sturdy than Matchbox or Majorette. Also every car had a proper German licence plate. I loved that. Back then the models used as much metal as possible so they lasted more than one child's life. Nowadays they use more plastic unfortunately.
Thank you for not putting the finished product in the thumbnail. :) I think the paint turned out wonderful and it was the right call about filling in the headlights.
Very cool 64 vette ... 63 had the split window ( only yr they made it) I think what the were trying for on the front was ..the vette's had vacuum operated light buckets.. The "cans" would roll up..i think that's what was missing and made the front end look funky... Great job.. A red metallic 64 ( be still my heart...lol )
I'm disappointed the nose was casted so weird. You never see the headlights of that era of Vette. That said, they also make too many split windows, so thank you so much for not throwing a pillar in the back when you had the putty out.
Awesome to see you try your hand on a European brand, Siku till this day has insane detail in their castings, I'm working on a 1984 Simca Matra Rancho (grand daddy of the crossover) myself, hopefully it'll come anywhere close to the work you do!
Amazing color!!! Wow!
Very cool...just one of my favorite cars
Great rebuild love da paint!!!!
Siku are amazing. Very solid cars, good detail and quality finish.

That front end looks MUCH better but that paint...KILLER!!!
Amazing transformation bud ... Looking forward to the next 👍

Thanks man, that's very nice of you to say 👍👍🍺🍺
Ah Siku, the memories.
I mostly have tractors and other farm equipment, and some cranes from them, they have very nice, high quality models.
That color is super nice, good call on the front end makeover.
Another awesome vid and custom as always!!!
The paint is awesome
Colour = OMFG!!!! 😲 And yeah, you made the front end 100x better.
It looks great! I really like the way you fixed the front instead of the weird 2 bead sockets for the headlights. Very creative!
Just beautiful!
Awesome job, the Corvette looks super sweet! The change to closed headlights was a good call, looks way better than with them open.
Awesome color !!!!!!!!!!!
Love the gold metal flake finish.
Cool endlich mal ein Siku Modell 😀 sehr schöne Farbe und prima Idee die Lampen zu schließen 👍👍👍
Another astounding reversion from trash worthy to museum ready! Perfect colour and exciting wheels, especially compared to the original. The choice to close the wheels is undeniably correct and the owner will be well pleased I’m sure! Keep up the superb work!
Dude that looks like a very high end match box way above hot wheels very awesome !!!!!! 👍👍👌👌👌😆😎😎😎😎😎
