Today I do a restoration on a vintage Hot Wheels called a Beach Bomb. This one was damaged badly but the restoration went well.

Plating the body worked great ! This is another model I've never seen before, I've seen regular V.W. vans but no beach bombs. I should go to diecast school. 🍻

Your restoration is the bomb!
CLR both the body and base then copper brush them. Then plate them, it's what I have bin doing for years. If the proper dilution process is done after each step, there are no side effects down the road after painting.

These things can fetch up to like $1200 if the color and condition is right, purple is uncommon and it was probably worth $80 as it was un-restored. Buddy didn't know what it was, he got it for free!

That’s what I asked you before and now I seen it, about spraying then letting dry a bit in between coats, hard to see it sometimes with the miracle of TH-cam 😂 great job! One of my fav channels!
I just really wish I had time and money to get everything to do this, I did a couple as a kid and one or two over the last year but not all the equipment needed!
