Hi, I'm a 3D modeler and a i've been a model maker since 3 years now and i'll explain what is the difference between model format. PMD = Official Format, Stan for Polygon model Data, it has a limit of 60K vertex and is way more stable than PMX (less bone option) PMX= Unofficial format, stan for Polygon Model Extended, No vertex limit, is unstable and can corrupt (more Bones option) so actually, on your model, sometime it's best to use PMD
Nice tutorial! I always render in avi raw cause it's lossless, but I'll take a shot at the MJPEG compression and see how it looks. Also, about the effects. Post Movie was originally created by Beamman, though there are a lot of edits of it out there. And any effect with Ik in the name was made by Ikeno. Definitely be sure to check effect folders for readmes, cause the original creator usually will put a guide to use the effect and their name in there. Again, good vid :>
Thank you so much!!! Unfortunately, some of my effects didn't come with a readme like my models do and the others were in lengthy Japanese that didn't have a name or at least...Google translate didn't put the name into account xD
0:46 from my years of lurking bowlroll, there's a program like mmd that has mac support called nanoem. it's a work in progress, but fair warning, there's no effect support and the model motions are super janky. an alternative to nanoem is getting wine and actually running mmd through that.
@@WeebaLu I appreciate it. I'm new to the program (had no idea how complex it was. I'd been watching vids for years but only had a PC able to handle it RECENTLY and realizing "Oh wait... I can convert my vroid models to MMD? OAO I CAN LEARN?!") and a lot of tutorials unfortunately have a lot of that. lol
This is a tip, for white models it did not work for me to do the texture, what you can do with that problem is to make a folder with the model and select all the files and then separate the mouse and select outside (not on the files) there should be a button to update press and repeat the step a few times to ensure after uploading the model to mmd and it should work
If it's the Yokune Ruko and Rioki models I'm thinking of, the models are too tall so they need to be adjusted for the camera. I'll probably make a video on this but for now- Load your motion for the models, go to edit and select "Select all bone frame", "select all IK fame" and "select all facial frame". Once you did all that, go down to edit again and all the way down to the bottom tab which is "apply center position bias",. The way section is to adjust the model's height position so for Ruko (from personal experience with that model), you'll need to put -2 in the Y category. This will lower the model down further but likely will have it match the camera for the motion. For Rioki, I don't know the exact model size so you'll need to do tiny increments of -0.5 until he's at the correct height for the camera.
MMD comes with 9 pre-made models made by Animasa and Kio, but the rest you'll have to make yourself using Blender then porting to PMX editor OR download them via sites like Deviantart, Niconico and Bowlroll
PMX is fairly easy to navigate, it's exactly the same as PMD just more controls xD Only reason I say to use PMX is because PMD can't handle high polygon models and certain effects don't exist in PMD :/
@@WeebaLui tried just now and i loaded the wav file it doesnt give me a pop up 0or anything, it just doesnt show up also you sound like gilda form the promised neverland and thats not an insult i really like your voice
@@nirvanafan58 Thank you xD Hm...It could be possible that either the wav file is corrupted somehow or the wav file has a really long pause to it before the long actually starts. There's also a glitch sometimes where the wav file doesn't show on the motion timeline so try hitting play and checking if you can hear the audio or not.
Not at all! It's difficult to animate, as animation is difficult in general, but it just takes a lot of time and patience :) Facial expression is done via sliders so unlike Disney animations, you don't have to move anything in the face aside from the neck.
Same way you would fix a model that's completely white. Follow the same tutorial shown in this video regarding models and stages with white textures. If it's still not loading, it could be due to a faulty modeler which is something I still don't know a work around for.
Am I doing something wrong???? 😭😭😭😭 When I had everything done. I put MJPEG Compressor but before I can even press ok it crashes 😭😭😭😭😫😫😫😫 I don't know what else to do because it's my first time using MMD and I looked at other videos to see which other video compressor they use but nothing it will just crash on me.
Hm...It's hard to say, because I know some problems in MMD can boil down to a computer not fast enough to handle the rendering. I know when I used to do MMD videos on an old laptop, it pretty much crashed every time it tried to render.
@@WeebaLu Oh! Wait so could the problem be the type of computer I'm using? I don't have a laptop instead I have a PC do you think that's the reason?? If you don't have an answer that's fine! I'll try to figure it out :'D
Unfortunately, I can't help with that. I'd check the requirements for running MMD and see if your hardware is compatible with it. I've never had an issue running MMD so I really can't help! ^^;
NOTE: if the MME won’t show up
Re-install MMD, your MMD might be outdated

but when i save it dosent show up

I have a question what happened to your original Avatar design who was the original artist who draws that design it was seems impressive
This tips and tricks of yours are very helpful, especially "Why is my model is completely white"

I think ikbokeh (and the other "ik" effects like ikpolish) where made by Ikeno? Correct me if im wrong

Is there a better way to adjust bones? I find it hard using the x y z buttons on the bottom right
