@@alex-rk1bp You have to go to the website that you downloaded MMD from, then download MME by scrolling down till you see the 34-bit and 64-bit ones. You have to check what bit your laptop is first though so that way you don't download the wrong one. Then you go to the MME folder (don't open it just go to it) and then right click it, click properties, click unblock at the bottom, and click apply then ok. Open your MMD File (with the data file, user file, etc.) and then open your MME file (click on it and drag MMHack, MMEffect, d3d9 to the MMD file.) Then click on your MMD that's in the folder you just dragged the effect things too. I hope this helped! ^D^
no need dummy bone, just double click in local and change to accesory just click and move y x and z buttons, it looks better if you add things to the map material tab in mme, you find them in folders like hair, skin, cloth, etc... but good tutorial :)

Need? No. All a skybox is, is a distant image to fill the deeper background. Good to use when the scene is open and wide, or has the default white or black background bleeding through holes/windows in a closer applied scene asset.
The result of your program crashing after adding the ray.x file means that your computer may not be able to handle it. On my old desktop it didn't work and i'm lead to believe it's because it's a pretty old crappy computer. For the main.fx that problem should fix after adding the ray.x which you said crashes your computer- Good luck on getting it fixed, if I find anything i'll let you know asap ^-^

Make sure you've clicked on the model first, then add the motion.
