    Thanks for this video. I have the tt01 Front one way diff unit but for some reason im having a hard time fitting it to my tt02 do you have a video on how were you able to install it? Thanks. Subbed.

      Hi John, it should just fit, it comes with 4 set of spacers and I only fitted 1 on each side, and maybe you need to fit it in the inside of the bearing so
      spacer | bearing | axle. Otherwise which part are you having trouble with?

    Hey! I have just ordered for myself rear diff lock which costed me in total with VAT and delivery 33€. I did read in some forums that some people recommend better for street drifting to only lock rear and keep front diff open. I have heard that rear lock and front 1 way is recommended for small technical tracks. How do you feel from you personal experience about such statements?

      Rear lock and front one way on the tt02 is better in every scenario but anything will work really. Without front one way you will just have more under steer and harder to turn. That also seems expensive try ordering from rcmart.com or asiatees.com should be much cheaper

      If you want true drift physics, get the mrc or yeah racing wide steering angle. This will give you max angle. Remove driveshaft to make it rear wheel drive and get a gyro. This will let you get into rear wheel drive rc drifting.

    I think I've heard it's a good idea to have locked diffs for speedrunning? I could be wrong, but just want to clarify.

      this is for a grip setup? lock diff will give you more speed in general but will be harder to turn. I'm not a racer but popular setup is lock diff in the front and open diff in the back. Make it stiff at the back at first and if it understeer too much you make it looser until you get the sweet spot that you like.

    What do you have for steering components? Looks like you could have nearly no slop in it with that.

    • @monsrc3122
      @monsrc3122  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the tamiya TT-02 Type S Alloy steering hop up, still have lots off slop thou, only way to effectively reduce it to reduce the number of joints around the steering, lots of the latest RWD chassis now connects the steering directly to the servo horn

    Hey. Just a quick question. Im fairly new in this rc world and just recently bought a tt02 and trying to convert it to drift too. My question is, and i hope its not a dumb question, but do i need both front one way diff and the diff locking block? Thanks

    • @dugw9649
      @dugw9649 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Front one way is the best thing you can get for it, the rear lock diff is not needed. I actually use the standard TT02 open diff in the rear now. It will slow down the car and make it easier to turn for smaller corner.

    • @MarkyMark_562
      @MarkyMark_562 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dugw9649 other than purchasing the front one way, is there an alternative thing, like for example using putty or glue? Or does that only work for the rear diffs? Thanks for taking the time to help. Much appreciated.

    • @dugw9649
      @dugw9649 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MarkyMark_562 putty or glue can work to lock the rear diff. But there isn't any alternative to the front one way, unless you want to do a RWD conversion. But that will only work with very smooth surfaces, if you're planning to drift outdoor AWD with front one way is the way to go.

      @monsrc3122  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you should be able to get it much cheaper than that the standard rate for genuine tamiya is 3000yen or 22 euro and much cheaper if you get it from 3racing or eagle racing

    • @monsrc3122
      @monsrc3122  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@subzerolives you still need the drive from the front wheels, otherwise the car will be slow and have no grip, without modifications TT-02 doesn't have enough steering angle to go RWD. RWD is a completely different game, you need good weight balance, steering angle and good surface.
