    Hi friend,some friendly advices to you to enjoy the car more and get more control
    1)lock the rear diff
    2)leave the front open
    3)you must put some negative camber in the front in order to reduce front end pull and get more slide.
    4)i drift for fun too with my sakura but i assure you these will help.also if you want epic slides there are the raikou drift tires from usa (dp70) which are super slippery and at the same time they grip just as much.
    i hope i helped,you have a nice car!

    Nice TT-02 build!
    My kids and I just built the new Mustang GT4. It is sweet, but I think we will throw some drift tires on it also. It is just too fun to slide around!

    what made it hard for you was that the dot goes towards the inside of the rim. There's a wide side, that's the dot side, and then the narrow side has no dot, so the rim goes pushed in on the dot side. That's why I was giving you a problem. You should never have hammered it in or pushed it in just with your hand

      I knew from purchasing used Wheels W/ Drift tires the dots went on the inside, now I know why, thanks.

    Thank you for mentioning the. Going on the outside. The instructions were confusing and I couldn't tell if it goes in the inside or not

    If you want to put tires easily on just put them in hot water, they will go on like butter👍🏼

    Sweet build! I saw your original build video. I have same setup and found it comes down to tire and surface selection- its guess work. Its not a dedicated drift build like the TT-02D which is also AWD. Mine drifts well in large open spaces (basketball court) where you can carry speed into the drift. Certainly not competition set up but super fun. You can always put your standard rally tires back on for maximum thrash action ;)

    You probably heard this by now but the tires were installed backwards, the dot goes towards the vehicle. ;-)

    If you lock the differentials it should help keep the car a little more sideways without touching the suspension setup.

    Yeah. If you want this kit to drift. You need to mod few parts. The most important parts is steering and gear ratio. You need to mod the gear ratio for this kit to be able to counter steer

  • @jamiet.g5810
    @jamiet.g5810 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    you need to lock the rear diff and a better motor and esc to hold longer drifts, take out front diff and propshaft convert to rwd

    Hey man, just discovered your channel. You’ve got some really unique tips and tricks! I have the Tamiya TT02 Audi Rally and it was too boring to run on asphalt. Super bouncy suspension. Tried the Kyosho AMG Fazer and that was a little better. Also have the Traxxas Fiesta and thats a lot more fun. Just need to try different tires because it seems to spin out too easily. I have to say that my Losi Tenacity TT pro is by far my favorite right now.

      @WorkingInTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks K! I am working on some changes to the TT-02 currently and filming some new video. Also looking for a replacement to my Traxxas Rally, which was stolen last year (sad). That Losi Tenacity TT pro looks like a great choice. I will keep it on my radar. Thanks for sharing!

    For asphalt drifting you just needed to upgrade the motor to break the traction,more torque needed on asphalt...

    If can be worked on. It's a great car. You are probably running a 50/50 set up. So you need to change rear gears make the rear wheel spin 1 1/2 turn more than the front or add a gyro.

    • @WorkingInTech
      @WorkingInTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ill look into that. I hadn't thought about changing the gearing to adjust wheel spin. I have considered going RWD to get more steering out of the front.

    Hello,
    Did you ever get a RWD drift car? I just recently got a MST RMX 2.0 RTR and have been having an awesome time getting used to driving it and improving my skills. I also have a 4wd Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 VXL and I can say that it’s a night and day difference going from 4wd to RWD. It sounds snobby but you’re actually drifting with the RWD.
    if you can swing the expense I highly recommend investing in a drift car. I’m trying to get more people into it at my work. Hoping someone bites the bullet and gets one. It’s literally the most fun I’ve had doing a hobby, activity or game in my adult life. I wish I would have found RC Drift a decade ago.
    Take care! ✌️

    hmmh
    i have some plastic drift tires, i wonder how different they are from theese
    is there any rubber drift tire that my tt-02 copy (i think its a tt-02 copy, its similar at least,nanda nrx-10) could drift with? i looked at some hpi nitto tires, i wonder if they are any good. i cant use normal plastic tires because A: im driving on a very small parkinglot, plastic tires wouldnt just grip enough (rwd car) B: they wear out kinda fast (get very scratched and just look super damaged), but slow at the same time (theyll propably last daily driving for a few months on asphalt)
    So please if you have any suggestion on rubber drift tires that a stock tt-02 (copy, it has bearings, oil filled shocks, and is awd, which i converted to rwd) could drift with, i have 1 set of touring tires that it slides with (not drifting, they are too grippy for that, but if i go full throttle on a straight line itll spin out)

    • @WorkingInTech
      @WorkingInTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plastic I look to drift on is similar to PVC plastic (very hard). The harder the plastic and smoother the floor the better the drift. Here is a great guide driftmission.com/guides/tire-camber-guide/

    Lock the rear diff, you can use the Tamiya hop-up diff lock or fill the rear diff using hot glue "remove all the grease if doing the hot glue mod"
    Make it RWD, there are a few mods you can do yourself to the steering to get a little more turn without spending a fortune on the optional upgrades, you can also add/try one of the many gyros that are available.
    Great looking scooby 🚗💨 and video.

      I don't think they will fit. The Jada Rc cars have a clip and groove system to hold the tire in place. I cant find any info on the Jada wheel size either, so I don't know if it worth trying.
