The last time I had a whinge about banging techno when I was just trying to enjoy a quiet late brekkie - and got the completely predictable - ' if it's too loud you're too old' line from a fellow patron, I feigned full on deafness.
In for a penny in for a pound I figured.
"What ? If it's too loud I'm too ...what ? Sorry I can't hear you .." etc.etc
That tends to do the trick. 😉

Where we are living we have to start wearing a mask everywhere again inside restaurants, movie theatres, grocery stores, etc. Just wanting normal back and to be able to travel again. @@pannachawangkul585 damn that sucks! Our government and health officials are ass backwards here but what are we gonna do. Gotta live life we are double vaccinated here and it was starting to feel normal no masks, socializing, going out to visit friends and family with no restrictions and now because that delta variation is now starting to get out of control here, we are back to square one. We are going to have to show proof of vaccines soon to be able to go in restaurants, movie theatres, anything indoors like sporting events,weddings, etc, and they aren’t giving any leeway or exceptions on it except for kids under 12. Also if your not vaccinated by Oct 24 people can lose their jobs. 😢😢😢

Hi Paddy & beautiful Partner love the restaurant review the food looked great especially the deserts yummy my wife would kill for the seafood dishes, been married to Thai lady for 26 years and been to Thailand hundreds of times the Thais only know one volume which is always to loud especially in a restaurant I can understand when the fire show would be on but the not the whole night. This opinion is mine only but I was a DJ for many years. As the say TIT ( This is Thailand ) nice to see people out having fun and enjoying there holiday. The bill was a little pricey but as you said you don’t do it every night.

is a great spot for an afternoon drink very quiet but one of my favorite spots for quiet drink and a wonderful view.

Entertaining silliness..... Thai tourist venues are wonderful but I can't do them... I've really never experienced that side of Thailand in all my visits... My one and only visit to Koh Samui was to a small beach villa Maenam to visit an old friend (I mentioned via email)..... I don't do the same sort of 'trendy' places in Australia also..... I much prefer food and places for locals.....

i usualy dont like to go to restaurants to much anymore but in this one i would sit and sit and sit LOL. awesome place and since the music is deep house, i dont even mind the volume. looks like you and the misses are getting along very well. i am happy for you guys. enjoy every moment !

Nice 👍 video. I think I like the restaurant you ate at in the prior video where you had the soft shelled crab, more dishes, and ate right on the beach in a more chill atmosphere. This place seemed cool too but it reminded me too much of Miami Beach or Honolulu seems geared more towards tourists which is fun but the constant music was a bit much. When i am at a bar or nightclub loud thumping music is great but not when i want a nice expensive dinner.
How about a video on the cheapest to the most expensive restaurant for a date .

Yes i totally agreed with you that music too loud even in the day times....we actually live there before we like to just to chilling and order some food and drink even coffee but when the music too loud we wont be able to enjoy it..so we decided to go somewhere else haha...
Good on paddy 👏 coco tam is one of my favourite hangouts along with the jungle club in chaweng noi. I highly recommend that spot for a evening dinner. Leave the bike at the bottom and call for their shuttle because dreamy will not survive the trip up to the mountain. Hope to see you early October for a few beers 🍻 until then stay safe and healthy my TH-cam friend 🙏🙏🙏

But I didnt do anything about it. NOW I am terrorising the karaokebars in Thailand (mostly in Laem Mae Phim)(almost only in Laem mae phim, ) and I feel sorry about it because I think that maybe I could have done something about it when I was young(er). Once again a great nice video but I want to tell you about the menu. I'm from Spain, and, gazpacho is made with fresh vegetables like a tick juice, and I think the name of the pot full sea food the name is zarzuela or cazuela

Coco Tams is a great place Paddy, have you found the smaller local Thai places serve much nicer food than the bigger places? there are some great little places in Lamai cheap as chips and amazing food probably not good enough for content tbh, i know chaweng isn't open as such yet, but it would be good if you are there when things start to open up again to see how things are there nightlife etc as that's where we used to go for a good night out out lol.

Hi Paddy at the end of the street there is a family owned restaurant The HutCafe we always eat there when in Samui. Always needed to reserve a place due to high demand 😍

Bophut is my fav area in Samui and Coco Tams is my fav venue. Great to see it still very busy

Must say, although it 'ruined' your planned video, the circumstances and the solution you created actually made for a fantastic break from the usual food review vids that are done. Keep Rolling with those punches Pads and as long as you have fun, or make it fun, we'll be loving it.

In fairness I totally get it ,there are lots of TH-camrs I follow who end up in relationships and their partner isn't super keen to open themselves to the onslaught that this levei of public scrutiny comes with.
There's a famous female vlogger in Hong Kong where I live whose partner ( although he now does appear on the occasional vlog) was always just off camera although - like Miss P - his arm or shoulder or something would creep into the frame often times.
This led to the poor guy being christened - by her,,the vlogger herself ( Taylor R) - as "elbow-san"
E.g "hi, today elbow-san and I are at dim sum at .." etc etc 😂😂

Faline, whose trademark ( it's not just covid related) is that she always wears a mask, promised to reveal all when she hit 100k subs. Fortunately/ unfortunately for her that happened an awful lot quicker than she'd anticipated owing to a video that went semi-viral and she wasn't ready to lose her anonymity just yet. Or as she put it "I need at least 6 more months to achieve maximum hotness levels"😂

@@o.fenton8636 Thanks! Yes she's brilliant. She's just a kid, she's like 17 I think, but her social frame of reference is incredibly wide. One minute she's making jokes about Roblox or Minecraft and the next referencing Ken Burns and his iconic Vietnam war documentary. She's certainly incredibly talented, I mean English is actually her third language.
As for other TH-camrs I'm a big fan of Bald & Bankrupt and his unique take in his travel vlogs primarily in Eastern Europe and India. Definitely worth a look if you're not already subscribed. Cheers!
