Discovered your channel a week ago and hooked from day 1. The memories I have of Thailand and seeing your videos sometimes makes me emotional. Awesome!
Absolutely superb mate. Loved everything about this video - from the lavaliere mic chat to the long unedited driving cut, to the grub, the temple, floating stuff - all of it looks just friggin beautiful. The Thai government should be paying you for this - you're single handedly making it the most appealing looking place to visit imaginable. 11/10. By the way if you made just like a 30 minutes driving video I for one would totally watch that. Honestly didn't want that bit to stop to be honest.
Hey Paddy, make sure you check out Erawan waterfall in Kachanaburi, I was there two weeks ago. There’s a nice little restaurant at the bottom with a lovely old lady, from there you can jump in the back of a pickup to take you to the top, and you can swim at various points. The first waterfall was the best one. I’ve also stayed at a float house on the river Kwai which was wicked, right by a Maun Village with their own elephant. Safe travels, your vids give me inspiration!
Bonjour 😁 seen all your videos so far, i like the playlist, oh this laugh 🤣, keep it up, we take this trip with you through your images, thank you and take care And of course forza Italia 😂😈😂
I just placed an order one of the T-shirt with Thailand map on it , love the idea , I now can mark on the map to the place I have visit in Thailand, love your VDO, the music and your adventure, , thank you for sharing
I watched the whole video Paddy, audio is crisp and amazing. I never noticed the tapping until you spoke in this video about it. Your taking this channel to new peaks it’s never reached before. Keep up the hard work 👍🏻 This sounds crazy, my great great uncle is English 🏴 He was a prisoner of war in Kanchanaburi, he was a soldier who helped build the Kwai bridge. He has a grave in Kanchanaburi cemetery. If you do go to the Kanchanaburi War cemetery, I would happily give you the coordinates to my great uncle grave. You being English I thought it would make for a really beautiful personal video between your home England and Thailand :)
Perfectionists are perfectly permissible, if annoying and unnecessary. 🥰 (even TV news production values allow for wind noise, etc.) The singer is doing a great job. Seriously. 👍👍
Kanom Krok is one of my all-time favorite Thai desserts. However, there's been a huge decline in these for sale due to the increased prices of coconut milk. Local stores generally don't sell it, so the street vendors or the local morning markets are your best bet.
We went to the tourist floating market nearer Bangkok. Loved buying food produced on their little boats. Went through market on a boat and the waterside stall holders would grab our boat with long poles and pull us to them to sell us touristy tatt. Laughed at slurping sounds eating noodles :-) Stay safe Cath and Kevs x
Hi Paddy my hubby and I are loving watching your travels through the land of smiles 🥰.. keep up the good work. Stay safe & look forward to the next one.
Saw on my TH-cam analytics that people who watch my channel also watch your channel so coming to check it out. :) I actually lived in a house with Lina in Hanoi a few years ago and didn’t actually see you guys did the Budgeteers stuff until a while after that and now I stumbled across your channel. Small worldl!
The people-carrying drones will be a positive addition to humanity - that temple is a fantastic mish-mash of styles for the next video 👍👍. Nice music too🎶🎶🎶.
The sound is good! 👍 It's always interesting to me when someone points something out that you didn't notice before and then you can't NOT hear it.... (Tap tap tap). Lol Love the new Dreamy wear!! I was hoping you were going to incorporate her in to something eventually. 😁
Nice trip Mr Doyle! Amphawa brought back memories. Did you have coffee there? I had excellent one there and enjoyed the peaceful setting. By the way, the Thai coconut pancakes you had are called Kanom Krok ขนมครก and I love them too! Oh, Pandemonium is a great song (thank you Shazam!).
Paddy love your content. Especially about the treck in Krabi info. My wife and I did the latter. Temple climb up the stairs. Couldnt walk the next day haha. We are in California now look forward to being back. She is from Bangsaphan. Any content from there? Pretty cool waterfall swim spot I went to up the street from her house. Thanks for all the content and keep living the dream and riding dreamy. Johnny
Paddy the blue flower is called the Butterfly pea. It’s very healthy and grows wild throughout Thailand. You can boil ,mixed with honey , lime and ice , absolutely delicious. Please try ! Goggle the Butterfly 🦋 pea
I went to that restaurant opposite the temples in April. Absolutely great food and stunning views. I think the smack you had at the market are called kano grok. Tasty little morsels. Keep up the great work. Love the videos
Another great video, .love the floating market...must try and visit one of those in the future. The temple looks well worth a visit, that's the joy of driving around Thailand, you stumble across the unexpected. You are now in one of my favourite Thai provinces, Kanchanaburi, such a beautiful part of Thailand, but sadly steeped in sadness with the Death Railway. I hope you visit the Bridge on the River Kwai, Hellfire Pass, the beautiful War Cemeteries of Kanchababuri and Chungkai and the Death Railway Museum that overlooks the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. If you can, try and take a train journey over the Wang Pho viaduct, a feat of engineering built by POWs with stunning views over Khwae Noi (River Kwai). Enjoy Paddy 😁👍
Hey Paddy, amazing sights, sounds, and narration. Any chance you could feature a zoom in on a detailed map of some of these spots? Luv your videos man...you should have your own travel series on Travel Channel
At the top of that hill there are actually two separate temples. One Buddhist and one with Chinese influences. They have separate entrances at the bottom. If you have the chance to stay at one of the River raft hotels I definitely recommend it. I stayed at River Kwai Jungle Rafts deep into the jungle on River Kwai. The hotel has no electricity though. The whole place is an experience, at night they light the petrol lamps all over the resort. It’s amazing. Also while you’re in Kanchanaburi, maybe you can have a trip to Sangkhlaburi district where the big Mon bridge is. There you can also stay overnight on rafts on the lake.
Yes it is the canal Linkage all the way to Bangkok call necked to my home towns khlong samsam makkasan district ratchathew Bangkok. I'm glad to hear it is so convenient nowadays .
Your editing is great, love the music! I guess filming yourself talking while on the bike got the thumbs down since I haven't seen much of that view? I'm old (65) so never noticed any clicking or tapping sounds previously, so your new audio sounds great to me. Keep up the next level videos!
Love that whole area. Last time I went to Amphawa Floating Market it was super busy and fun at night. We did the night boat tour then we stayed at the Amphawa Nanon Hotel & Spa with a rooftop bar and restaurant that overlooks the area..recommended. Looking foward to the rest of Kanchanaburi upcoming videos.
Love the vlog paddy but I remember I went to a floating market near Bangkok and the little old ladies were using the water from the river to cook there food
Great video, Paddy. KAN CHAN A BURI - I live in BKK but have travelled to the "Bridge on the River Kwai" which isn't like the movie, but is worth seeing. There are 2 Death Railway cemeteries in Kanchanaburi. The larger one is mostly British and Dutch troops. As you enter through a small building, there's a book of names. I looked up my surname and found 1 guy from Java. I visited his grave. With a name like Doyle, there could be several. Next to the larger cemetery is the best museum in town, run by 2 Australian ex-pats. Good Luck. P.S. Kanchanaburi is Thailand's hottest province, so stay hydrated! Cheers, David.
I moved to Thailand 3 months ago, been looking for a source of travels to things other than the usual tourist sites. Finally found your channel! BTW, although I didn't notice the tapping sound on my computer speakers (my sound gear is stuck in Vietnam at the moment) maybe you were picking up the focusing motor on your camera since it always happened when the microphone was attached to said camera).
I believe that the description refers to your old microphone (it's linked to the Rode VideoMicro Compact On-Camera Microphone with Rycote Lyre Shock Mount). But I managed to pause the video and noticed that you are using the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro TX -- thanks for the recommendation -- I have ordered the same one (and I typed it into Amazon on your original link so you should also get the associated affiliate commission). Safe Travels Paddy.
Samut Songkhram is also known as Mae Klong after the main river flowing through the province. Mae Klong River flows from the mountains of Kanchanaburi province through Ratchaburi province to the Gulf of Thailand at Samut Songkhram province.
The Videomicro. Paddy's old mic with the deadcat, is an incredible little mic, for the price. The grooves in the tightening disc are designed to clip the cable into which stops the mic bouncing
Hi Paddy, with regards to the audio, I hadn't noticed the tapping until you mentioned it so I wouldn't worry too much about it 😀😀
A dreamy song, dreamy locations and temples, and above all a bike called Dreamy.. what's not to like? ❤️❤️👌👌
haha! good one ASH ;)
I've stayed at Amphawa a few times.. love it! The whole town is a living museum
What a great way to start the morning 😃
Looking good Paddy!
You took some great shots there. I'm enjoying them on the full screen - only way to watch!
Many thanks!
Discovered your channel a week ago and hooked from day 1. The memories I have of Thailand and seeing your videos sometimes makes me emotional. Awesome!
Welcome 😀
Love the music mixed with gorgeous views of the bike ride. You should include this in more of your videos! Absolutely love the combination!
Video is so well made..!! The thai guy was singing carabao song 🎶 and the desert you had it’s call “kanom Krok”…!! Keep it up mate 👍👍👍
Absolutely superb mate. Loved everything about this video - from the lavaliere mic chat to the long unedited driving cut, to the grub, the temple, floating stuff - all of it looks just friggin beautiful.

By the way if you made just like a 30 minutes driving video I for one would totally watch that. Honestly didn't want that bit to stop to be honest.
Another great video, especially liked the temple in a tree 🌳
All the local feels! That floating market is amazing!
Great video!
Thanks ☺️

Great tune! Loved to hear it again while driving. Wish it was on ITunes..
Little jams indeed. So enjoyable! Great video!
love all the natural music in this video!!!
The coconut pudding things are called kanom krok. Lovely when still warm 👍🏻
Lovely 🌹
The first thing I search out when I get to a new market. I agree, better if freshly made.
Kanom Krok is one of my all-time favorite Thai desserts. However, there's been a huge decline in these for sale due to the increased prices of coconut milk. Local stores generally don't sell it, so the street vendors or the local morning markets are your best bet.
Great memories. Saw tree temple and Amphawa three years ago. Great to see again; thank you!
A very peacefull flaoting market Paddy, a side from the karaoke man 🤫 thanks for sharing buddy 🙏
Hi Paddy, another grand video. Love the song at the 16:30 mark! ! ! 👍😊✌️👋

Hi Paddy my hubby and I are loving watching your travels through the land of smiles 🥰.. keep up the good work. Stay safe & look forward to the next one.
Great video, Paddy! My husband and I watch your videos every morning before work. We'd love to know your Spotify playlist as you're driving around :)
Your viewers must have good taste 😜
Haven't been here for a while. Thanks for the memories, Paddy!
Excellent video! I was looking forward to this one. Beautiful song selection...I was moved.
The people-carrying drones will be a positive addition to humanity - that temple is a fantastic mish-mash of styles for the next video 👍👍. Nice music too🎶🎶🎶.
I think you should do more cinematic shots like you did on the bike with the song playing in this video. Adds a bit more emotio. Love your work
Thank you for your videos - great inspiration, travel-tips and not least GREAT content. Keep it up.
Hi Paddy, I was a little disappointed not finding that song Pandemonium in spotify...such a idyllic song to listen to on a long scenic ride
The album is on Spotify, but not that song for some reason. It’s on TH-cam music, though.
You can find it on TH-cam (Pandemonium tribute version)!
Erawan waterfalls!!! Next level!!!
Never noticed the tapping...but sound quality is so much better.
And the music is perfect.
Phew!
Amphawa is lovely place, I been there and stay overnight at homestay, the food and the view are all very nice. 👍👍
Good video as always! The temple is looking fantastic! Good music!
Great video, loved the extended clip of riding along on the bike with that awesome tune playing 🎶❤️👍

The palm leaf volcano shape with flat top hat is called "Ngob งอบ" which typical Thai farmers' hat, a symbol of rural Thais.
Paddy, my TH-cam friend, your content quality is impressively good
Same area is the Railway Markets too-amazing!

It's always interesting to me when someone points something out that you didn't notice before and then you can't NOT hear it.... (Tap tap tap). Lol
