thats the nice thing about rise of the phoenix, is the fact that its not a very great shield unless ur doing rf, and that makes it go pretty cheap really fast

Why not Unyielding with Uber lab? Also, you can get rid of 2 small life nodes and go for Constitution. You could also use the Divination Distillate for +4% max res and some rarity
Heya, Unyielding is mentioned in the description as a good choice as well. Constitution is already in the tree according to the pastebin. Divination Distillate is a good flask but most builds can't use it. The duration of the flask ends immediately the moment you are full on life/mana because it's a hybrid flask.
Excellent video I'm using as a guide is my first time using RF so far pretty good lvl 76. One question: which maps are recommended to farm with this build? and what is the "key" for farming Uber Lab? Is it normal to take a long time to kill big bosses?
Heya. So for quickly farming with this build, I like running low tier maps with easy/linear layout. (I grew quite fond of farming Graveyard map.) Some of my friends ended up just leaving volcano as the only t4 or t9 shaped, and farmed their own kaom's heart. Uber Lab is still gonna be one of the bigger currency making methods. Full key runs= getting all the keys from chests, and fighting izaro and letting him get all the buffs. + Killing Argus of course. That way you get a bunch of keys/rewards. Some advice if you decide to farm uber lab: Don't turn on RF unless you want to kill enemies. Otherwise just leap slam/shield charge over them. Let your regen trivialize the traps. (Definitely have antibleed flask.) Use Ralakesh's Impatience to make sure you have enough charges before fighting izaro/argus. You put on those boots, let the charges build up, then (Before moving at all) switch to another pair of boots. Boss time should be decent, especially after getting some endgame gear. Make sure elemental equilibrium is setup correctly, and most contents are ez. (This build is not gonna insta kill bosses, but the fights should all be quite safe) I have some other videos on my channel showing off the fights as well. Hope this helps!
1.5 physical damage prevented going to regen is absurdly overpower, and THATS the node that makes uber lab an absolute joke, you can stand in literally every trap for as long as you want, even tanking a pile of mobs just for the lols.

First I want to say it's amazing guide, so cool to finally I can get a hero what is not 1-hitted by bosses :D But I have a question: I use a rare chest (still farming for Kaom) so I have +sockets to CWDT+Enfeeble (I dont really find better option to use them). So that curse can stack with Witchfire Brew or flask already count as 1 castable curse?
Flask already counts as 1 castable curse. I'm glad you are enjoying the guide. For the extra sockets, you can always put some gems in to soak exp and level, especially if your offhand is already filled with gems.
This is something I was thinking also, Would have loved you to mention that shield (you dont like it , or you forgot it?) Since I personally run Saffell's double corrupted and I think its very viable

Hi there. so there are 2 good mods for RF that can roll on Elder Based helmets. One is Burning Damage, and other is Conc Effect. In short, you can use Essence on a Elder Based helmet(Essence makes sure you get the 30% more elemental, but the other rolls are Random rolls), and there's a chance of the helmet to also get Conc Effect/Burning Damage. All just RNG. I'm not rly lucky so I just bought one from someone who got lucky when using the Essence :D.
Wouldn't deaths doors crusader boots be a better option ? That extra endurance charge, immunity to bleed and strength and armour are always good stats compared to the kaom it also comes socketed as well
@@0xskar it comes better socketed so you can always add increased damage, increased defense + chaos resistance (due to ascendancy) + endurance charge + immunity to bleed it's better than having increased life and your RF would already be heavily scaled by passive , sockets and gear
Hi! Thank you very much for this detailed build guide! Playing it in HC, just reached lvl 71 and maps. The essences for helmet or gloves are very expensive... Cannot afford them atm. What would you suggest instead for the 5th socket (RF), I have the socekt from the chest (no Kaom yet)?

Super guide, thank you so much ! Regarding the leveling part, besides your recommended leveling tree and the Sunder setup, can somebody point me where I could find more info regarding other good gems to use while leveling, type of gear to look for, etc.
Best skills to level with are Sunder or Cleave or Molten Strike.(With Sunder being commonly regarded as the best, and Molten+Ancestral call following closely) The new Tectonic Slam is potentially good as well. When leveling, identify rare weapons frequently and run the herald of ash u get during act 2 for sure. For quality of life, once you have access to Blasphemy+ Warlord's mark, having that active will make the run through smoother. Use suitable replacements and upgrades to your damage whenever you id a better rare weapon. Try to keep your resists at a decent level, you don't have to cap it super early, but having more will help. Definitely resist cap by the time you reach maps.
Heya, so RF builds just kill Bosses normally. Righteous Fire is based on "burning" But it's not counted as an Ailments. So no bosses are immune to the Damage part of the Righteous Fire.
Hey @Thatyiguy! Awsome build, one of the RFs that I most enjoyed and currently playing HC Beastiary with it. Pretty solid and fun to play. While in end game i managed to snacth most of the itens you advise to min/max and ended up with a few questions. Maybe you can elighten me towards if im doing something wrong. - My regen with Vitality aura and stone golem and 9 endurance charges is about 1.7k/sec and im wondering if isnt that low? I can easily sustain RF but whenever i take a hit my life slowly gathers up. (I do not have Watcher's eye with Vit regen since the cheapest one is 60ex in HC hehe; also im using a sytgian belt for the abyss socket since i dont have any other piece of gear to add lightning or cold dmg to attacks so EO can proc). -When using kaom roots, my cold and lightning resistances are around 66% with 9 endurance charges. Is it supposed to be like that or am I missing something? My belt alone gives 45% each res. For a speed clear of low maps, ive been using movespeed boots with 90~life and a good cold a lightning res to cap out at 115+ each.7 -Regarding the endurance charges sustain, isnt the RF itself supposed to generate endurance charges? I only seem to gain charges when hit by mobs. The idea i had is that we would be able to generate them from our on degen or something. -How do i trigger the Akakaali 50% increased regen? Hey there. I'm glad you are enjoying the league and build. Oh gosh, 60ex in HC :O that's pretty intense :D to answer the questions: One of the hardest part is balancing the resists. I started on with quite a lot of resists on my belt, necklace and boots. But over time I try my best to get resists on my jewel slots. (Resists+ Life is good) I am usually ok with giving up on some damage rolls on Jewels in order to fill out the resists. As I managed to keep the resists capped, I begin switching out those gear slots. I started out with Boots, till I can cap with Kaom's on. Then I swapped out belt for an elder belt with % life recovery rolls(That stat is worth quite a lot of regen) And during that time, I also tried to get a lot of resists on that belt. (Also OMG, super random but your Murder eye jewel is super good lol) For my build, I ended up putting my abyss jewel inside my tree, since I switched to an elder leather belt. Getting a belt like that is certainly tricky but worth working towards. You can try to use ascendency to get stun immunity, and use your high resist boots. Gearing out the build for super endgame is all about balance, between ascendency, gear, and Jewels, I try to get my resists comfortably capped. (Even if I have to give up on a little damage to do it) As for the endurance charge sustain, Juggs will get charges after getting "Hit". Since RF doesn't perform any "Hit", it would trigger it. (It's a slow degen/dot) For Soul of Akakaali the main part is the % DOT taken reduction. For RF there's no way to really take advantage of the secondary bonuses, (since we're always taking damage from DOT) The only reason Immortal call/Bloodrage builds can us it is cause they are not utilizing any other form of DOT. I usually overlevel in Blood Aqueduct by a few levels, and by the time I get to Kitava in act 10, it's not much of a problem. (Kitava is always tricky though :P) This build will not have much problem with Uber Lab. By the time you unlock it, it should already be doable. I would still recommend 6k+ or even 7k+hp in HC, just to be super safe. Luckily, the last 2 points in ascension is the least essential for the build, so it can wait for a while until the gear is at a good level.
For sure, if you want unyielding, you can give up the Undeniable node.(The other 3 are too good :D) I personally never found rf aoe to be lacking but the extra would indeed be pretty sweet for mapping
The most ideal point would be right after getting Rise of Phoenix. But around mid 60, with the help of brine king pantheon, and ascendency points for the damage reduction, you can make the switch as well without ROTF.(It would just require a lot more ruby flask spamming :P) Also need to make sure Purity of Fire is at a decent level at that point.
hey dude i'm looking at the skill tree for level 60, I'm wandering why you don't grab Arsonist nodes for the damage and 1% life regen. Also you don't pick up the Amplify nodes for greater aoe? What's the point in just getting Retribution. Thanks!
heya. so arsonist is good node for sure, but pathing to it would take 5 points. By the time it would be good(after switch to RF) there are more useful nodes to be taken. Jewel nodes for example would be way stronger to get. (Since we can get a lot of damage/life from Jewels) But before having access to good jewels, Arsonist wouldn't be a bad choice. :D Retribution is really efficient node early on during leveling. Eventually that point is taken out. (Even later on it gives attack speed and int, all for just one point, it's decent)

Heya, so Righteous Fire, because it's a Damage over time skill but not counted as a Spell, there are very few support gems that work with it. Because of that, it's better to use it on a 4L with "Socketed Gems deal 30% more Elemental damage" that you get from Essence of Horror. This frees up the chest slot to use Kaom's Heart, which will scale our hp and damage. This build is shaper and guardian viable for sure. Shaper is hard till endgame gear.(Just cause his puddles act as a dps check) Guardians are really easy with the build, since we're so tanky, and elder is fine. The main strength is that Uber Lab is hilariously easy with this build with decent gear. (Once I got kaom's heart I sold a bunch of Uber lab carries, got loots, and got myself all endgame stuff.) Also, I personally love farming maps with this build, it's really stress free.

6L belly wouldn't be as good. since the tree scales % hp a lot already, making belly less optimal. the gear in my Pastebin should be top tier gear. With that budget you can look into Guardian LL RF, it's way more expensive than this build, but can scale higher with super high budget.

you can roll cold damage with attack, or Lightning damage with attacks on your gear. But what I did is get a Jewel with + cold damage with attacks. any of those methods work, the most important thing is to just make sure there's no fire damage on your shield charge.
Hi! Thank you for uploading this amazing video guide. Have a question about getting the recommended gloves. Did you use a normal whites gloves or rare gloves to upgrade it with essence of horror? I never done any crafting before so not sure how you achieve the listed stats.
Hi, so high tier essences like those will work like chaos. They will reroll an item into rare with random mods but they will guarantee that specific mod on that item. For example. if you use essence of Delirium on gloves, you might get 30% more damage over time, 20 life, and 15 fire resist. or if lucky maybe something even better. I just craft and hope for high life, or open prefix to craft life on. But of course, the only way to reroll it with that mod is to use the same essence.
Hi again, how did you get Socketed gem supported by faster attacking speed mod on your gloves? Cause that performs great mobility in lab run and dodge any deadly damage when using shield charge. Then again, i applied essence of delirium on elder ilvl86 gloves and it gives 30% damage overtime. Which mod is preferred for end game?
Seem to be having some difficulty leveling (i don't die, I just kill things very slow.) i picked up the axe spec which helped a little bit but is there something else in the tree i'm supposed to get early on to help with this?

Then again this is the first time i've ever played this class, i'm used to Templar or duelist and playing builds that pick up a lot of damage nodes way early on
try to pick up a sunder gem in act 1 and socket in add ruthless and melee damage gem. It should improve your dps quite a bit, especially once you get a better weapon.
Certainly doable thanks to the damage reduction. But I would personally recommend Trickster for that build, especially due to the new node Prolonged Pain.

Heya. yes, out of all the build's I've ever played(even when EQ jugg was king of Lab) This one is possibly my favorite lab runner build. You can go through the traps without worrying about anything. The only way to die to traps is to run under all the traps with RF on, AND have no endurance charges on at the time. Other than that, Shield charge your way through the lab, the traps, etc. Turn on RF only when you need to kill stuff, otherwise you can just leave it off and enjoy some ridicilous regen. Before fighting Argus, let yourself get hit by trash mobs, that way, it builds up endurance charges. (Or you can use a Doedre's Elixier to trigger a hit on yourself and get charges) As for the path of building import problem. For some reason, I tried to do the multiple trees, but my POB refuse to save them correctly. But I just tested the links again, and it seemed to work fine. Would u mind testing it again and letting me know. If you can't get the low level trees to work, I can try to export them in an online tree.

Hello, i like your guide ! But i choosed chieftain and i have a problem with EE because shield charge have now 10%phys dmg convert to fire from the ascendency. I dont really know what to do now :/
Heya, so that conversion is one of the reasons I chose Jugg over Chieftan. There is a way to get past that: Brutality Support gem. That way, the Shield Charge won't do elemental damage. The problem is, you would have to use another skill to apply the EE. And you'll be losing out on a link for Shield Charge. Personally, I would recommend a switch over to Jugg, and save up for Xoph's heart as an item upgrade later on.(To apply Ash effect)
If you want to shield charge fast, then Brightbeak is good. But if you want some nice damage, you can get a scepter (they have elemental damage implicit) and can roll increase % fire damage. (Just make sure they don't have + fire damage with attack on them) Until I farmed myself a doryani's catalyst. I was using a void scepter with increased attack speed rolled on it.
This build is way tankier than trickster even with trickster getting MoM. Trickster will however, get higher damage. The main problem I see with trickster is that, to run MoM after the nerf received several patches ago, a few pieces of gear have to be dedicated to mana regen in order to out regen the burn. While it's not that huge of a problem during normal clear. (70% regen buff helps a lot) During boss fights or once things are cleared, the degen piles up too much, and the survivability start to suffer. Balancing life regen, mana regen, damage, and health will require a good amount of investment.

hi there. Blood would be a downgrade because Avatar of fire would cause the build to no longer trigger elemental Equilibrium. Triggering it gives the build a big boost.
I managed to clear all the content without using it. :D (Except for Hall of Grandmaster) But I shifted all the links so that the gems in the main weapon is flexible. Can use Balefire with 3 support gems when Scorching Ray is needed.
I was wondering if there's any way to alleviate how slow this build is in terms of movement speed - would it just be swapping Kaom's Roots for a high movement speed boot + Undeniable?
I pretty much just shield charge all over the place :D Because of Undeniable, our attack speed bonus is good especially with Faster Attack support. For lab run, you can use a brightbeak to charge around. (It's kinda hilarious how fast our shield charge speed is tbh) But running Unstoppable node+ movement speed boots is fine as well. It'll come down to preference. The major node in ascendancy we absolutely get is Unflinching. Can adjust the other ones based on preference. :)
Once we get Kaom's Wayx2, the Regen will way overtake the benefit more max resist can provide. I shifted things around so that the weapon has links that can be easily changed to whatever is needed. That allows for many options: Balefire for some contents Faster Leap Slams Leveling some extra gems Frost wall for Elder portal phase etc etc. Based on preference.
Oh alright, yeah I've noticed I need the balefire for some content. I think i'm going to keep the purity alongside an empower, as faster regen is always better seemingly. Thanks a ton for your responses, really meaningful - I've loved taking this build to endgame!
Ok, so you said you easily earned enough money with this build to buy everything you need for it. How did you do that ? Because so far I have earned way less than with a MF build and not that much in general. So what do you farm / do with this build to generate more currency ?
To be fair :O when I made the guide, the prices were about 1/8 of what they are now for this build. Kaom's way were 15c ish, etc etc. And people were not considering Jugg for RF. (Some people told me I was dumb AF to defend Jugg over Chieftan at that time too lulz, that stopped pretty quick once people started playing Jugg RF) a week after this UberDan killed Uber Elder with Jugg RF, and the price shot up. to x3 almost 3 weeks later, Zizarian released his version of Jugg RF guide, and price went crazy. to x8 What I did to farm= With bright beak shield charge, I was farming low tier maps crazy fast. I spammed those really fast, and the currency added up quickly. (I bought Graveyard/Beach in bulk, made them all blue and them blew through them in under 1 minute per map.) Once I got some decent gear/Regen, I switched to Uber Lab runs. This build is great for running Uber Lab, and doing full key runs. (Especially after getting Kaom's way.) That made me many exalts. (Selling Kaom's Root with good enchants. That was super profitable for me that league. You can do that with helm, but the problem with helm is that you either get nothing or big money. At the time Kaom's root was more consistent profit.) Spamming low tier maps this league is also quite viable, since temples= rewarding. Hope that helps, gl in your farming.
much much lower gear requirement, and drastically more tanky, especially with 9-10 endurance charges that are super easy to sustain. Trickster will have higher damage as a trade off.
Great build. I will make this my Starter build. I have a question though. The ascendency "Unyielding" that scale Aoe pr Endurance charges. Aint that a really good choice for mapping ?. Would you ever spec into to that ?. Seems really good. And what node would you leave out to get it?
Hey, so the increased AOE per endurance charge and increased damage per endurance charge node is pretty decent. If you want that node, I would leave out the Undeniable. It's certainly not a bad node. :) but mapping-wise, the AOE usually isn't a problem. But giving up undeniable isn't a big deal, and might make it more convenient.
Heya, there's no info on Uber Elder yet. But as of 3.1, Jugg RF can clear Red Elder no problem. They are going to change the behavior of portal to be more aggro, so will have to see. :) At the very end game, the build can also switch into a more damaging variant. 2x Dyadus which more than doubles the DPS(at the cost of being more straining to play, but it works as a weapon swift set up for when more dps is needed) As for Scorching Ray, it's got good synergy for sure :D With enough gear, you'll regen so much you can just face tank bosses while ramping up SR to max stack haha. In that case, you can switch to Balefire and get some respectable damage out of SR.
yeah, you don't have to worry much about it. :) Oak would work fine since it gives 1% regen and other benefits that does help the guild. I would recommend changing out of oak only once you have several good RF Jewels, and need more Jewel slot with the 2 skill points
Or if you can't find a well rolled marble, just get a bloodgrip unique marble ammy. It's got % life seven and moving while bleeding doesn't deal increased damage so it makes lab traps and corrupted blood packs waaaayyy less annoying
Yeah I've cleared all content in the game with the build, for the super endgame content, will require the top tier gear. Full atlast completed, Uber Elder/Atziri. The gears listed in my poe profile should be up to date.
Near the end game, once the regen is wayyyy out healing the burn even with RotP, dual wield Dyadus is a good way to boost DPS. I would do that as weapon swap. Until then, Shield charge is way too good to not use.
Np. I would definitely look into that setup more if Uber Elder end up requiring more dps. :) also with dual Dyadus, in order to still trigger elemental Equilibrium, the best way is to Cyclone with them(hits with both weapon to apply chill consistently), supported by Brutality support gem(Deal no elemental damage, since main hand Dyadus deals fire) and use another skill to deal lightning or Ice. (Orb of Storm, increased critical strike, faster casting for example would trigger both elemental equilibrium and elemental overload pretty consistently)

The build from 3.3 should be the same as what it is now (They still haven't hit the build with any of the nerfs they initially wanted to :D) I think the Pastebin should still work. (Im unable to test them at the moment, but if they do not, I'll try to find time to get a new version working)

Oh yeah. Something I wanted to point out but kept forgetting. In your video and description section, you say to do unrelenting. But in your PoB, unrelenting isn't chosen. Why is that? Maybe you think at a certain point, like with kaom's way,there is no point into having it anymore and can just go full offensive?
I've been trying to get my RF running. he's lvl 70 now but i cant switch out a couple of my items, because i lack the regen apparently.. I picked up every regen node i came across and went pretty much the path shown in the video.. got over 80 fire res (have to check exact amounts). I cant progress if i cant upgrade my gear, but i cant figure out why i cant beat the degen.. :'(
also dont you think that jugg will have way lower damage than zerker? sorry but im trying to play this as a startar and not sure if zerker or jugg or chiften tho :(
Oh yeah, you can clear all content- Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri with enough practice. (And gear of course :P) Jugg does have lower damage than Zerker, but with the new Rage mechanic coming in 3.2, Zerker will have too much degen. ( T_T Zerker is my bread and butter, I would make him work if I could. But sadly he's no longer viable) Jugg on the other hand, will have so much tank that you can think of other ways to boost dps-> Balefire with SR for example.
As for when to switch, as soon as you can survive the degen. With juggernaut, it will be a lot earlier than others. Make sure you are leveling a Purity of fire in one of your other sockets, and you prioritize the regen nodes. If you can get a Rise of Phoenix, chances are you can switch then. Last league I even switched a little earlier than when I can survive degen.(I kept 3 Ruby flask on my belt and rotated them haha)
guardian ll rf is the best form of rf, going juggernaut life is really dumb vs going Templar 1. bc Templar has time of need which causes you to instantly regen your es pool once every 5 seconds 2. ll is better bc you can run more auras which means more damage more survivalist and higher es vs life pools. the gear for life builds vs es based rf builds is cheaper bc they are worse forms of the rf build. if you go templar gaurdian ll rf do not follow a mana gaurdian build it has been nerfed and is a garbage build in itself do not build a high armour low es build you will still get one shot bc your es pool wont be high enough 15k es is fairly easy to achieve and seems to be enough to survive getting one shot. dps will be around 700k-1.5 mill depending on how much saftey you preffer for example my build has 15k es with 1 mill dps and about 2700 regen it is a ll rf scorching ray build. but i could easily take my dps down to 700k and have over 17k es and have a safer time running end game content. its all preffrence and thas the point of doing a rf build in the first place.. the problem with rf is about 65% of ppl say you dont do enough dps which is false you do enough to kill stuff it just takes a little longer and who cares you shouldnt die at all and 30% of people make rf guides which are trash guides and pass it off bc they can run a uber lab without dying which isnt a very impressive feat the other 5% of rf players have there stuff figured out by looking and reasearching and putting the time in figuring all the math that goes into rf builds and figuring out what gear works for them im not saying this guy is wrong but out of all the builds i ever looked at all of them are missing a huge chunk of information and thats somthing you have to look into yourself it took me a year to figure everything that has to do with rf out and thats all i play is a rf gaurdian ive tried hp builds they are trash for reasons i stated above, ive tried everything else except a ranger with different gear and you dont need delirium crafted gloves or horror crafted helmet. follow demi builds or pantsonfire builds loosely and take what you see and hear with a grain of salt. peace.

I'm down with your entire build except the amulet, but Elder kinda 2 shots me the moment I TURN RF on. I have 15K armour 6.5k life and all res 105%/75%capped, with 85% fire. Why does he kill me so fcking easy?
The main cause is likely the endurance charges aren't up right away. You can try to use Doedre's Elixier to trigger endurance charges, and you should be able to tank. The elder's initial swipe is one of the most damaging skills he has. What level are you right now and what tier elder were you fighting.
Great guide man, I played only harbinger league and did rf berserker and loved it. Clear all content except uber atziri. Do you think with this new jugg and new jewel this build is able to do the full content liker shaper and uber elder? Good job keep the good work
Shaper should be no problem at all. Uber elder will have to be seen. I'm not sure how much of a DPS check it is yet, or if supplementing the dps with scorching ray would be enough.
hm the pastebin at start is from a lvl 93 with insane gear, damage looks off the charts. with that gear shaper/uber would be a breeze I guess. how much life regen you recon is needed to switch to RF? im at lvl 77 should be able to right?
Yeah, the tree should have enough regen nodes, and combined with Rise of Phoenix and Purity of Fire, should be able to sustain RF at 77 without much problem.
For most of the content, RF would work just fine. (And it's so relaxing to play lol) But for the really end game content, this build can simply pick up a Balefire scepter, and get some more damage that way. Right now I'm doing T15-16s with good gear, and haven't found the need for more dps.(But Balefire is always a valid option)
Chieftan is still quite excellent, and if you keep up a totem, you'll have higher dps than Jugg. But when it comes down to regen, and tankiness, Jugg will be way superior. Honestly, the difference between the 2 can be debated, the trade-offs are reasonable too. For me though, not having to worry about keeping totem up, having easy time through uber lab etc is just better quality of life while playing. (Also great to never have to worry about generating endurance charge, Jugg does it naturally)
In my opinion you should create a final version of the build with alternatives to items. Marbles/Opals are freaking expensive (for example a shaper's seed or bloodgrip amulet should be good until someone can afford a neck), Essences are expensive as well. I'm struggling to find rare items with somewhat proper stats and close to what it should like. Otherwise I'm almost there with the RF and hopefully everything goes good. Also, you have changed a bit the gem links (and spells also) for the finished(pastebin.com/WHGA42L7) pastebin. Does it make a big difference from the first one that you had made or this is specifcally because of elder/shaper?
Bloodgrip is pretty solid indeed. The main thing is just making sure there's enough regen to be more than the degen. (I just imported my own build into path of building to see if I have enough regen without Enduring Cry etc, and switched once I see the regens are enough) I'm looking to make more guides in the future but at the moment swamped with work. Yeah Jugg RF gear got super pricy over last few days. (after the first Uber Elder HC was cleared by Jugg RF) Yikes... Kaom's way more than doubled in price. No need to worry about the gem differences. (I was still finetuning the links at the time, and was trying to level some gems in Weapon 1 for later use) Managed to get a helm with Conc effect, so put in Efficacy for the 5th link.

After I got witchfire brew and a ruby flask things got way better. I would appreciate any tips, but overall i'm aiming as you have mentioned the priority - Kaom's heart and eventually crafting with essences if i manage to get some currency out of lab or something. Right now I don't think your shield charge is doing cold or lightning damage. If you can get an abyss jewel that gives + cold or light, or +cold or light with mace attack, that will give your shield charge cold/light. (Can double check with tooltip) Or you can get rings/amulet/gloves with cold/light damage and eventually replace those. Elemental equilibrium will be trigger then, and you will see a big dps increase. You can also look into getting some cheap jewels with burning damage/fire damage etc, since your tree has access to multiple jewel sockets at the moment as well. Eventually you can get jewels with damage/hp% and it will help a lot too.
oh yes :D definitely. (I made sure by taking off the ascendency points on my RF char, and gimping his damage a bit. Still did Shaper and Uber Atziri ok. Of course slower than before, but scorching ray helped offset that decrease)
heya. So RF builds rely on stacking a lot of health regeneration: On the skill tree if you search for "regenerate" you will see a lot of nodes flashing. The idea of the build is to have so much regeneration that it out heals the damage Righteous Fire deals to the character. To help with that we rely on the item: Rise of the Phoenix and the skill Purity of Fire (as high of a level as possible) Both of them increase the Maximum Fire resistance, this will in term, reduce the self damage from RF. Those are the main sources of mitigation. We also use Ruby flask later on for more reduction. The skill tree provides a lot of regeneration, and a big source of it comes from the Rings called : Kaom's Way. Juggernauts generate a lot of Endurance Charges when hit, and they last a while. When you have those charges up, Kaom's way provides a TON of regeneration. There are also Elder based Belts that give "Increased Life Recovery %" and Watcher's Eye that can provide that too.(Those are more endgame options) Rise of the Phoenix and Purity of Fire at high level are essential. Kaom's way will push the regen to crazy levels. Once the right belt and watcher's eye are acquired, the build feels immortal. Hope that answers your question, let me know if you have other ones. yep. A little harder now since Uberdan and Zizarian played the same build and the prices go skyhigh haha. (I got my Kaom's way when they were 20c :P now they are multiple exalt.) that should be enough to gear the build though :) Can buy a elder based Belt with % increased life recovery, and slowly save up for Watcher's Eye.

no worries about English man :D It's my second language too. It's up to you, respecting is easy, and you can make change bandit choice with pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Book_of_Reform_(Eramir) Or you can make new character too. RF is pretty relaxing to play, so whatever you feel like :)
The most ideal point would be right after getting Rise of Phoenix. But around mid 60, with the help of brine king pantheon, and ascendency points for the damage reduction, you can make the switch as well without ROTF.(It would just require a lot more ruby flask spamming :P) Also need to make sure Purity of Fire is at a decent level at that point.

hi, love your guide, i was doubting between chief and jugg, but i end value more the calm of the tankiness ;) i have one question, why the "Versatility" passive skill? its really needed the mana reduction or its because the added int+dex? if its the latest... can you respect those 2 points once you have enough int+dex from the items? One bonus question: why Undeniable? Its needed to have some crit to proc it in the shield charge (18.88% according to PoB). at least Unyiending come with some steady DPS and AoE Thank you a lot, great guide!
It's a very efficient node. We can use every single stat it provides. If the gears provide enough stats, you are welcome to take it out, but those 2 points are unlikely to end up more efficient than the versatility. Part of the reason I focus a lot on accuracy is because Critical Strike uses the hit chance twice in calculating. As you know, our build relies a lot on critting. (For Elemental Overload, a huge source of dps boost) Say we have 80% to hit, we have to not miss, then if we hit our crit chance, the Critical strike portion also have 80% to hit. With Versatility and Ascendency, our hit rate will be very high, making it much more consistent for critting. This way we can always have the 40% from Elemental Overload active. (Path of building doesn't factor that in, it just always assumes you critted. But in practice, having accuracy goes a long way) Since with this set up, the crit can be kept up reliably, we can take full advantage of the damage as well. Unyielding is not a bad option at all as it provides, as you mentioned, damage and aoe. But overall I ended up personally opting for the consistency trade off and went with undeniable. Undeniable- More accurate and consistent Elemental Overload, big boost to Shield charge attack speed. Unyielding- (we're likely to run 9ish Endur charge) 45% increased aoe, 15% increase damage( 45 - 30 from undeniable).

Heya. I imported your tree into Path of building. You seem to be doing fine on Resists, but if you need them in the future, your tree does have access to several Jewel nodes. Jewels are a good source of life/damage/resist. I would definitely watch on POE.trade for decent jewels. Everything looks quite solid. I would save up for a second Kaom's Way, then a Doryani's Catalyst for when you need more dps. (Once you have jewels to fill out the missing resist) There is also a node next to "Stamina" endurance charge +1 node on your tree. You should take that one asap. It gives 0.2% regen per endurance. For our build that node is really efficient.
Over 8k life now but damage still feels pretty bad around 115k atm according to pob. Able to kill red elder but not before shaper dies. Not sure really sure where to go from here to improve that.
Nice build dude. Level 75 and did uber lab, had some bad dps but it worked. Maps are easy, bosses take some time. gear is good. good armor (not Kaoms) have weapon and shield, with one Kaoms ring. your amulet adds fire damage to your attack, so that's drastically hurting your dps. The first thing to do is getting rid of that, and making sure your shield charge doesn't do fire damage at all. Then the elemental equilibrium will boost your damage big time.

With enough regen nodes, yes. :P But honestly, I would recommend switching after getting Saffel/Rise of Phoenix/Kaom's Ways. Especially in Hardcore.

Why not Unyielding with Uber lab?
Also, you can get rid of 2 small life nodes and go for Constitution.
You could also use the Divination Distillate for +4% max res and some rarity

Constitution is already in the tree according to the pastebin.
Divination Distillate is a good flask but most builds can't use it. The duration of the flask ends immediately the moment you are full on life/mana because it's a hybrid flask.

Excellent video I'm using as a guide is my first time using RF so far pretty good lvl 76. One question: which maps are recommended to farm with this build? and what is the "key" for farming Uber Lab? Is it normal to take a long time to kill big bosses?
Heya. So for quickly farming with this build, I like running low tier maps with easy/linear layout.
(I grew quite fond of farming Graveyard map.)
Some of my friends ended up just leaving volcano as the only t4 or t9 shaped, and farmed their own kaom's heart.
Uber Lab is still gonna be one of the bigger currency making methods.
Full key runs= getting all the keys from chests, and fighting izaro and letting him get all the buffs. + Killing Argus of course.
That way you get a bunch of keys/rewards.
Some advice if you decide to farm uber lab:
Don't turn on RF unless you want to kill enemies. Otherwise just leap slam/shield charge over them. Let your regen trivialize the traps. (Definitely have antibleed flask.)
Use Ralakesh's Impatience to make sure you have enough charges before fighting izaro/argus.
You put on those boots, let the charges build up, then (Before moving at all) switch to another pair of boots.
Boss time should be decent, especially after getting some endgame gear.
Make sure elemental equilibrium is setup correctly, and most contents are ez.
(This build is not gonna insta kill bosses, but the fights should all be quite safe) I have some other videos on my channel showing off the fights as well.

1.5 physical damage prevented going to regen is absurdly overpower, and THATS the node that makes uber lab an absolute joke, you can stand in literally every trap for as long as you want, even tanking a pile of mobs just for the lols.

I use a rare chest (still farming for Kaom) so I have +sockets to CWDT+Enfeeble (I dont really find better option to use them). So that curse can stack with Witchfire Brew or flask already count as 1 castable curse?
Flask already counts as 1 castable curse. I'm glad you are enjoying the guide.
For the extra sockets, you can always put some gems in to soak exp and level, especially if your offhand is already filled with gems.
what do you think about saffell's frame for rf builds?
This is something I was thinking also, Would have loved you to mention that shield (you dont like it , or you forgot it?) Since I personally run Saffell's double corrupted and I think its very viable

Hi there. so there are 2 good mods for RF that can roll on Elder Based helmets. One is Burning Damage, and other is Conc Effect.
In short, you can use Essence on a Elder Based helmet(Essence makes sure you get the 30% more elemental, but the other rolls are Random rolls), and there's a chance of the helmet to also get Conc Effect/Burning Damage. All just RNG.
I'm not rly lucky so I just bought one from someone who got lucky when using the Essence :D.

Wouldn't deaths doors crusader boots be a better option ? That extra endurance charge, immunity to bleed and strength and armour are always good stats compared to the kaom it also comes socketed as well

@@0xskar it comes better socketed so you can always add increased damage, increased defense + chaos resistance (due to ascendancy) + endurance charge + immunity to bleed it's better than having increased life and your RF would already be heavily scaled by passive , sockets and gear

Super guide, thank you so much ! Regarding the leveling part, besides your recommended leveling tree and the Sunder setup, can somebody point me where I could find more info regarding other good gems to use while leveling, type of gear to look for, etc.
Best skills to level with are Sunder or Cleave or Molten Strike.(With Sunder being commonly regarded as the best, and Molten+Ancestral call following closely) The new Tectonic Slam is potentially good as well. When leveling, identify rare weapons frequently and run the herald of ash u get during act 2 for sure. For quality of life, once you have access to Blasphemy+ Warlord's mark, having that active will make the run through smoother. Use suitable replacements and upgrades to your damage whenever you id a better rare weapon. Try to keep your resists at a decent level, you don't have to cap it super early, but having more will help. Definitely resist cap by the time you reach maps.

Heya, so RF builds just kill Bosses normally. Righteous Fire is based on "burning" But it's not counted as an Ailments. So no bosses are immune to the Damage part of the Righteous Fire.
Hey @Thatyiguy! Awsome build, one of the RFs that I most enjoyed and currently playing HC Beastiary with it. Pretty solid and fun to play. While in end game i managed to snacth most of the itens you advise to min/max and ended up with a few questions. Maybe you can elighten me towards if im doing something wrong.
- My regen with Vitality aura and stone golem and 9 endurance charges is about 1.7k/sec and im wondering if isnt that low? I can easily sustain RF but whenever i take a hit my life slowly gathers up. (I do not have Watcher's eye with Vit regen since the cheapest one is 60ex in HC hehe; also im using a sytgian belt for the abyss socket since i dont have any other piece of gear to add lightning or cold dmg to attacks so EO can proc).
-When using kaom roots, my cold and lightning resistances are around 66% with 9 endurance charges. Is it supposed to be like that or am I missing something? My belt alone gives 45% each res. For a speed clear of low maps, ive been using movespeed boots with 90~life and a good cold a lightning res to cap out at 115+ each.7
-Regarding the endurance charges sustain, isnt the RF itself supposed to generate endurance charges? I only seem to gain charges when hit by mobs. The idea i had is that we would be able to generate them from our on degen or something.
-How do i trigger the Akakaali 50% increased regen? Do i have to use blood lust or is it possible only using RF?

Oh gosh, 60ex in HC :O that's pretty intense :D
to answer the questions:
One of the hardest part is balancing the resists. I started on with quite a lot of resists on my belt, necklace and boots. But over time I try my best to get resists on my jewel slots. (Resists+ Life is good) I am usually ok with giving up on some damage rolls on Jewels in order to fill out the resists. As I managed to keep the resists capped, I begin switching out those gear slots.
I started out with Boots, till I can cap with Kaom's on.
Then I swapped out belt for an elder belt with % life recovery rolls(That stat is worth quite a lot of regen) And during that time, I also tried to get a lot of resists on that belt. (Also OMG, super random but your Murder eye jewel is super good lol) For my build, I ended up putting my abyss jewel inside my tree, since I switched to an elder leather belt.
Getting a belt like that is certainly tricky but worth working towards.
You can try to use ascendency to get stun immunity, and use your high resist boots.
Gearing out the build for super endgame is all about balance, between ascendency, gear, and Jewels, I try to get my resists comfortably capped. (Even if I have to give up on a little damage to do it)
As for the endurance charge sustain, Juggs will get charges after getting "Hit". Since RF doesn't perform any "Hit", it would trigger it. (It's a slow degen/dot)
For Soul of Akakaali the main part is the % DOT taken reduction.
For RF there's no way to really take advantage of the secondary bonuses, (since we're always taking damage from DOT)
The only reason Immortal call/Bloodrage builds can us it is cause they are not utilizing any other form of DOT.

Hey there, you didn't explain what gems you have in your shield and gloves. What are they?
Love your guide. Typically what level are you when you clear Act10? and when is safe level to do Uber lab on HC?
I usually overlevel in Blood Aqueduct by a few levels, and by the time I get to Kitava in act 10, it's not much of a problem. (Kitava is always tricky though :P) This build will not have much problem with Uber Lab. By the time you unlock it, it should already be doable. I would still recommend 6k+ or even 7k+hp in HC, just to be super safe. Luckily, the last 2 points in ascension is the least essential for the build, so it can wait for a while until the gear is at a good level.
What do you think about unyielding? With 10 endurance charges, 50% Inc aoe is amazing for clearspeed.
For sure, if you want unyielding, you can give up the Undeniable node.(The other 3 are too good :D)
I personally never found rf aoe to be lacking but the extra would indeed be pretty sweet for mapping

hey dude i'm looking at the skill tree for level 60, I'm wandering why you don't grab Arsonist nodes for the damage and 1% life regen. Also you don't pick up the Amplify nodes for greater aoe? What's the point in just getting Retribution. Thanks!
heya. so arsonist is good node for sure, but pathing to it would take 5 points. By the time it would be good(after switch to RF) there are more useful nodes to be taken. Jewel nodes for example would be way stronger to get. (Since we can get a lot of damage/life from Jewels) But before having access to good jewels, Arsonist wouldn't be a bad choice.
:D Retribution is really efficient node early on during leveling. Eventually that point is taken out. (Even later on it gives attack speed and int, all for just one point, it's decent)

Heya, so Righteous Fire, because it's a Damage over time skill but not counted as a Spell, there are very few support gems that work with it. Because of that, it's better to use it on a 4L with "Socketed Gems deal 30% more Elemental damage" that you get from Essence of Horror.
This frees up the chest slot to use Kaom's Heart, which will scale our hp and damage.
This build is shaper and guardian viable for sure. Shaper is hard till endgame gear.(Just cause his puddles act as a dps check)
Guardians are really easy with the build, since we're so tanky, and elder is fine.
The main strength is that Uber Lab is hilariously easy with this build with decent gear. (Once I got kaom's heart I sold a bunch of Uber lab carries, got loots, and got myself all endgame stuff.) Also, I personally love farming maps with this build, it's really stress free.

6L belly wouldn't be as good. since the tree scales % hp a lot already, making belly less optimal.

With that budget you can look into Guardian LL RF, it's way more expensive than this build, but can scale higher with super high budget.

For people with 200 Exalt budget you can get more damage from LL RF Templar.
how do you add cold or lightnign damage to attacks with shield charge i didnt understand that part
you can roll cold damage with attack, or Lightning damage with attacks on your gear. But what I did is get a Jewel with + cold damage with attacks.
any of those methods work, the most important thing is to just make sure there's no fire damage on your shield charge.

Hi, so high tier essences like those will work like chaos. They will reroll an item into rare with random mods but they will guarantee that specific mod on that item. For example. if you use essence of Delirium on gloves, you might get 30% more damage over time, 20 life, and 15 fire resist. or if lucky maybe something even better. I just craft and hope for high life, or open prefix to craft life on.
But of course, the only way to reroll it with that mod is to use the same essence.
Meginord's vise are cheap AF and im still using them at lvl 90, really good item.

Hi again, how did you get Socketed gem supported by faster attacking speed mod on your gloves? Cause that performs great mobility in lab run and dodge any deadly damage when using shield charge. Then again, i applied essence of delirium on elder ilvl86 gloves and it gives 30% damage overtime. Which mod is preferred for end game?
Seem to be having some difficulty leveling (i don't die, I just kill things very slow.) i picked up the axe spec which helped a little bit but is there something else in the tree i'm supposed to get early on to help with this?

Im aware gear is it bad but i've never had bad gear be an issue until 45-50+
Then again this is the first time i've ever played this class, i'm used to Templar or duelist and playing builds that pick up a lot of damage nodes way early on
try to pick up a sunder gem in act 1 and socket in add ruthless and melee damage gem. It should improve your dps quite a bit, especially once you get a better weapon.
also a single point in the 16% damage node right next to starting point is a good one to take as well

Certainly doable thanks to the damage reduction. But I would personally recommend Trickster for that build, especially due to the new node Prolonged Pain.

Heya. yes, out of all the build's I've ever played(even when EQ jugg was king of Lab) This one is possibly my favorite lab runner build. You can go through the traps without worrying about anything.
The only way to die to traps is to run under all the traps with RF on, AND have no endurance charges on at the time.
Other than that, Shield charge your way through the lab, the traps, etc. Turn on RF only when you need to kill stuff, otherwise you can just leave it off and enjoy some ridicilous regen.
Before fighting Argus, let yourself get hit by trash mobs, that way, it builds up endurance charges. (Or you can use a Doedre's Elixier to trigger a hit on yourself and get charges)
As for the path of building import problem. For some reason, I tried to do the multiple trees, but my POB refuse to save them correctly.
But I just tested the links again, and it seemed to work fine. Would u mind testing it again and letting me know. If you can't get the low level trees to work, I can try to export them in an online tree.

Heya, so that conversion is one of the reasons I chose Jugg over Chieftan.
There is a way to get past that: Brutality Support gem.
That way, the Shield Charge won't do elemental damage.
The problem is, you would have to use another skill to apply the EE. And you'll be losing out on a link for Shield Charge.
Personally, I would recommend a switch over to Jugg, and save up for Xoph's heart as an item upgrade later on.(To apply Ash effect)

If you want to shield charge fast, then Brightbeak is good. But if you want some nice damage, you can get a scepter (they have elemental damage implicit) and can roll increase % fire damage. (Just make sure they don't have + fire damage with attack on them)
Until I farmed myself a doryani's catalyst. I was using a void scepter with increased attack speed rolled on it.

no, it eats up our endurance charges.
How do you think this compares with a trickster / mind over matter version?
This build is way tankier than trickster even with trickster getting MoM. Trickster will however, get higher damage. The main problem I see with trickster is that, to run MoM after the nerf received several patches ago, a few pieces of gear have to be dedicated to mana regen in order to out regen the burn. While it's not that huge of a problem during normal clear. (70% regen buff helps a lot) During boss fights or once things are cleared, the degen piles up too much, and the survivability start to suffer. Balancing life regen, mana regen, damage, and health will require a good amount of investment.

hi there. Blood would be a downgrade because Avatar of fire would cause the build to no longer trigger elemental Equilibrium. Triggering it gives the build a big boost.

I managed to clear all the content without using it. :D (Except for Hall of Grandmaster) But I shifted all the links so that the gems in the main weapon is flexible. Can use Balefire with 3 support gems when Scorching Ray is needed.
I was wondering if there's any way to alleviate how slow this build is in terms of movement speed - would it just be swapping Kaom's Roots for a high movement speed boot + Undeniable?
I pretty much just shield charge all over the place :D Because of Undeniable, our attack speed bonus is good especially with Faster Attack support. For lab run, you can use a brightbeak to charge around. (It's kinda hilarious how fast our shield charge speed is tbh)
But running Unstoppable node+ movement speed boots is fine as well. It'll come down to preference. The major node in ascendancy we absolutely get is Unflinching. Can adjust the other ones based on preference. :)

Once we get Kaom's Wayx2, the Regen will way overtake the benefit more max resist can provide.
I shifted things around so that the weapon has links that can be easily changed to whatever is needed. That allows for many options:
Balefire for some contents
Faster Leap Slams
Leveling some extra gems
Frost wall for Elder portal phase
etc etc. Based on preference.
Oh alright, yeah I've noticed I need the balefire for some content. I think i'm going to keep the purity alongside an empower, as faster regen is always better seemingly. Thanks a ton for your responses, really meaningful - I've loved taking this build to endgame!

Ok, so you said you easily earned enough money with this build to buy everything you need for it. How did you do that ? Because so far I have earned way less than with a MF build and not that much in general. So what do you farm / do with this build to generate more currency ?
To be fair :O when I made the guide, the prices were about 1/8 of what they are now for this build.
Kaom's way were 15c ish, etc etc. And people were not considering Jugg for RF. (Some people told me I was dumb AF to defend Jugg over Chieftan at that time too lulz, that stopped pretty quick once people started playing Jugg RF)
a week after this UberDan killed Uber Elder with Jugg RF, and the price shot up. to x3
almost 3 weeks later, Zizarian released his version of Jugg RF guide, and price went crazy. to x8
What I did to farm= With bright beak shield charge, I was farming low tier maps crazy fast. I spammed those really fast, and the currency added up quickly.
(I bought Graveyard/Beach in bulk, made them all blue and them blew through them in under 1 minute per map.)
Once I got some decent gear/Regen, I switched to Uber Lab runs.
This build is great for running Uber Lab, and doing full key runs. (Especially after getting Kaom's way.)
That made me many exalts. (Selling Kaom's Root with good enchants. That was super profitable for me that league. You can do that with helm, but the problem with helm is that you either get nothing or big money. At the time Kaom's root was more consistent profit.)
Spamming low tier maps this league is also quite viable, since temples= rewarding.

what are the differences between your variant of RF vs guardian or trickster RF
much much lower gear requirement, and drastically more tanky, especially with 9-10 endurance charges that are super easy to sustain. Trickster will have higher damage as a trade off.

The ascendency "Unyielding" that scale Aoe pr Endurance charges. Aint that a really good choice for mapping ?. Would you ever spec into to that ?. Seems really good. And what node would you leave out to get it?
Hey, so the increased AOE per endurance charge and increased damage per endurance charge node is pretty decent. If you want that node, I would leave out the Undeniable.
It's certainly not a bad node. :) but mapping-wise, the AOE usually isn't a problem. But giving up undeniable isn't a big deal, and might make it more convenient.
Did the build have enough dmg for Uber Elder? there a place for a SR ?
Heya, there's no info on Uber Elder yet. But as of 3.1, Jugg RF can clear Red Elder no problem. They are going to change the behavior of portal to be more aggro, so will have to see. :) At the very end game, the build can also switch into a more damaging variant. 2x Dyadus which more than doubles the DPS(at the cost of being more straining to play, but it works as a weapon swift set up for when more dps is needed)
As for Scorching Ray, it's got good synergy for sure :D With enough gear, you'll regen so much you can just face tank bosses while ramping up SR to max stack haha. In that case, you can switch to Balefire and get some respectable damage out of SR.

yeah, you don't have to worry much about it. :) Oak would work fine since it gives 1% regen and other benefits that does help the guild. I would recommend changing out of oak only once you have several good RF Jewels, and need more Jewel slot with the 2 skill points

xoph's heart is an endgame luxury option, a well rolled marble amulet with % increased fire damage and high hp roll would work really well :)
Or if you can't find a well rolled marble, just get a bloodgrip unique marble ammy. It's got % life seven and moving while bleeding doesn't deal increased damage so it makes lab traps and corrupted blood packs waaaayyy less annoying

leave it as heart. Don't change to blood.(blood gives avatar of fire, which is bad because it disables elemental equilibrium)

Yeah I've cleared all content in the game with the build, for the super endgame content, will require the top tier gear. Full atlast completed, Uber Elder/Atziri. The gears listed in my poe profile should be up to date.
What do you think of using dyadus over RotP for the 100% increased burning damage?
Near the end game, once the regen is wayyyy out healing the burn even with RotP, dual wield Dyadus is a good way to boost DPS.
I would do that as weapon swap. Until then, Shield charge is way too good to not use.

Np. I would definitely look into that setup more if Uber Elder end up requiring more dps. :) also with dual Dyadus, in order to still trigger elemental Equilibrium, the best way is to Cyclone with them(hits with both weapon to apply chill consistently), supported by Brutality support gem(Deal no elemental damage, since main hand Dyadus deals fire) and use another skill to deal lightning or Ice. (Orb of Storm, increased critical strike, faster casting for example would trigger both elemental equilibrium and elemental overload pretty consistently)

The build from 3.3 should be the same as what it is now (They still haven't hit the build with any of the nerfs they initially wanted to :D) I think the Pastebin should still work. (Im unable to test them at the moment, but if they do not, I'll try to find time to get a new version working)

Oh yeah. Something I wanted to point out but kept forgetting. In your video and description section, you say to do unrelenting. But in your PoB, unrelenting isn't chosen. Why is that? Maybe you think at a certain point, like with kaom's way,there is no point into having it anymore and can just go full offensive?
what skills are on shield?
I've been trying to get my RF running. he's lvl 70 now but i cant switch out a couple of my items, because i lack the regen apparently..
I picked up every regen node i came across and went pretty much the path shown in the video.. got over 80 fire res (have to check exact amounts). I cant progress if i cant upgrade my gear, but i cant figure out why i cant beat the degen.. :'(

Oh yeah, you can clear all content- Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri with enough practice. (And gear of course :P)
Jugg does have lower damage than Zerker, but with the new Rage mechanic coming in 3.2, Zerker will have too much degen. ( T_T Zerker is my bread and butter, I would make him work if I could. But sadly he's no longer viable)
Jugg on the other hand, will have so much tank that you can think of other ways to boost dps-> Balefire with SR for example.
As for when to switch, as soon as you can survive the degen. With juggernaut, it will be a lot earlier than others. Make sure you are leveling a Purity of fire in one of your other sockets, and you prioritize the regen nodes. If you can get a Rise of Phoenix, chances are you can switch then.
Last league I even switched a little earlier than when I can survive degen.(I kept 3 Ruby flask on my belt and rotated them haha)

wich is better this or guardian templar Rf build? and why?
guardian ll rf is the best form of rf, going juggernaut life is really dumb vs going Templar 1. bc Templar has time of need which causes you to instantly regen your es pool once every 5 seconds 2. ll is better bc you can run more auras which means more damage more survivalist and higher es vs life pools. the gear for life builds vs es based rf builds is cheaper bc they are worse forms of the rf build. if you go templar gaurdian ll rf do not follow a mana gaurdian build it has been nerfed and is a garbage build in itself do not build a high armour low es build you will still get one shot bc your es pool wont be high enough 15k es is fairly easy to achieve and seems to be enough to survive getting one shot. dps will be around 700k-1.5 mill depending on how much saftey you preffer for example my build has 15k es with 1 mill dps and about 2700 regen it is a ll rf scorching ray build. but i could easily take my dps down to 700k and have over 17k es and have a safer time running end game content. its all preffrence and thas the point of doing a rf build in the first place.. the problem with rf is about 65% of ppl say you dont do enough dps which is false you do enough to kill stuff it just takes a little longer and who cares you shouldnt die at all and 30% of people make rf guides which are trash guides and pass it off bc they can run a uber lab without dying which isnt a very impressive feat the other 5% of rf players have there stuff figured out by looking and reasearching and putting the time in figuring all the math that goes into rf builds and figuring out what gear works for them im not saying this guy is wrong but out of all the builds i ever looked at all of them are missing a huge chunk of information and thats somthing you have to look into yourself it took me a year to figure everything that has to do with rf out and thats all i play is a rf gaurdian ive tried hp builds they are trash for reasons i stated above, ive tried everything else except a ranger with different gear and you dont need delirium crafted gloves or horror crafted helmet. follow demi builds or pantsonfire builds loosely and take what you see and hear with a grain of salt. peace.

I'm down with your entire build except the amulet, but Elder kinda 2 shots me the moment I TURN RF on. I have 15K armour 6.5k life and all res 105%/75%capped, with 85% fire. Why does he kill me so fcking easy?
The main cause is likely the endurance charges aren't up right away. You can try to use Doedre's Elixier to trigger endurance charges, and you should be able to tank.
The elder's initial swipe is one of the most damaging skills he has.
What level are you right now and what tier elder were you fighting.
Great guide man, I played only harbinger league and did rf berserker and loved it. Clear all content except uber atziri. Do you think with this new jugg and new jewel this build is able to do the full content liker shaper and uber elder? Good job keep the good work
Shaper should be no problem at all. Uber elder will have to be seen. I'm not sure how much of a DPS check it is yet, or if supplementing the dps with scorching ray would be enough.
hm the pastebin at start is from a lvl 93 with insane gear, damage looks off the charts. with that gear shaper/uber would be a breeze I guess. how much life regen you recon is needed to switch to RF? im at lvl 77 should be able to right?
Yeah, the tree should have enough regen nodes, and combined with Rise of Phoenix and Purity of Fire, should be able to sustain RF at 77 without much problem.
Hey again, i got a new question I see many people /streamers using the Saffel's flame / Scorching ray build is there a purpose to push more damage?
For most of the content, RF would work just fine. (And it's so relaxing to play lol) But for the really end game content, this build can simply pick up a Balefire scepter, and get some more damage that way. Right now I'm doing T15-16s with good gear, and haven't found the need for more dps.(But Balefire is always a valid option)
righteous fire is nice and all, but sadly there is many maps u can't do due to the mechanics of the build.

Chieftan is still quite excellent, and if you keep up a totem, you'll have higher dps than Jugg. But when it comes down to regen, and tankiness, Jugg will be way superior. Honestly, the difference between the 2 can be debated, the trade-offs are reasonable too.
For me though, not having to worry about keeping totem up, having easy time through uber lab etc is just better quality of life while playing. (Also great to never have to worry about generating endurance charge, Jugg does it naturally)
In my opinion you should create a final version of the build with alternatives to items. Marbles/Opals are freaking expensive (for example a shaper's seed or bloodgrip amulet should be good until someone can afford a neck), Essences are expensive as well. I'm struggling to find rare items with somewhat proper stats and close to what it should like. Otherwise I'm almost there with the RF and hopefully everything goes good.
Also, you have changed a bit the gem links (and spells also) for the finished(pastebin.com/WHGA42L7) pastebin. Does it make a big difference from the first one that you had made or this is specifcally because of elder/shaper?
Bloodgrip is pretty solid indeed. The main thing is just making sure there's enough regen to be more than the degen. (I just imported my own build into path of building to see if I have enough regen without Enduring Cry etc, and switched once I see the regens are enough)

Yeah Jugg RF gear got super pricy over last few days. (after the first Uber Elder HC was cleared by Jugg RF) Yikes... Kaom's way more than doubled in price.
No need to worry about the gem differences. (I was still finetuning the links at the time, and was trying to level some gems in Weapon 1 for later use)
Managed to get a helm with Conc effect, so put in Efficacy for the 5th link.

Right now I don't think your shield charge is doing cold or lightning damage.
If you can get an abyss jewel that gives + cold or light, or +cold or light with mace attack, that will give your shield charge cold/light. (Can double check with tooltip)
Or you can get rings/amulet/gloves with cold/light damage and eventually replace those.
Elemental equilibrium will be trigger then, and you will see a big dps increase.
You can also look into getting some cheap jewels with burning damage/fire damage etc, since your tree has access to multiple jewel sockets at the moment as well. Eventually you can get jewels with damage/hp% and it will help a lot too.

oh yes :D definitely. (I made sure by taking off the ascendency points on my RF char, and gimping his damage a bit. Still did Shaper and Uber Atziri ok. Of course slower than before, but scorching ray helped offset that decrease)

heya. So RF builds rely on stacking a lot of health regeneration: On the skill tree if you search for "regenerate" you will see a lot of nodes flashing.
The idea of the build is to have so much regeneration that it out heals the damage Righteous Fire deals to the character.
To help with that we rely on the item:
Rise of the Phoenix
and the skill
Purity of Fire (as high of a level as possible)
Both of them increase the Maximum Fire resistance, this will in term, reduce the self damage from RF.
Those are the main sources of mitigation. We also use Ruby flask later on for more reduction.
The skill tree provides a lot of regeneration, and a big source of it comes from the Rings called : Kaom's Way.
Juggernauts generate a lot of Endurance Charges when hit, and they last a while. When you have those charges up, Kaom's way provides a TON of regeneration.
There are also Elder based Belts that give "Increased Life Recovery %" and Watcher's Eye that can provide that too.(Those are more endgame options)
Rise of the Phoenix and Purity of Fire at high level are essential. Kaom's way will push the regen to crazy levels. Once the right belt and watcher's eye are acquired, the build feels immortal.

yep. A little harder now since Uberdan and Zizarian played the same build and the prices go skyhigh haha. (I got my Kaom's way when they were 20c :P now they are multiple exalt.)

Can buy a elder based Belt with % increased life recovery, and slowly save up for Watcher's Eye.
yes, i saw that, few day ago kaom's way were like 60c, then check and they were 2ex lul.. another question, i have a jugg lv92 with other build, but i took Oak as bandit, can i regret points and go with this, or re lvl a new char? (sorry for my english)
no worries about English man :D It's my second language too.

What are the breakpoints you should aim for before making the switch to RF from Sunder? What level do you normally make the switch?
The most ideal point would be right after getting Rise of Phoenix. But around mid 60, with the help of brine king pantheon, and ascendency points for the damage reduction, you can make the switch as well without ROTF.(It would just require a lot more ruby flask spamming :P)
Also need to make sure Purity of Fire is at a decent level at that point.

League start of abyss I started rf at like 40 ish and didn't have any problems, just spammed ruby flasks
you can start RF at lvl20 with the right starting gears and ruby flask.

hi, love your guide, i was doubting between chief and jugg, but i end value more the calm of the tankiness ;)
i have one question, why the "Versatility" passive skill? its really needed the mana reduction or its because the added int+dex? if its the latest... can you respect those 2 points once you have enough int+dex from the items?
One bonus question: why Undeniable? Its needed to have some crit to proc it in the shield charge (18.88% according to PoB). at least Unyiending come with some steady DPS and AoE

It's a very efficient node. We can use every single stat it provides. If the gears provide enough stats, you are welcome to take it out, but those 2 points are unlikely to end up more efficient than the versatility.
Part of the reason I focus a lot on accuracy is because Critical Strike uses the hit chance twice in calculating. As you know, our build relies a lot on critting. (For Elemental Overload, a huge source of dps boost) Say we have 80% to hit, we have to not miss, then if we hit our crit chance, the Critical strike portion also have 80% to hit. With Versatility and Ascendency, our hit rate will be very high, making it much more consistent for critting.
This way we can always have the 40% from Elemental Overload active.
(Path of building doesn't factor that in, it just always assumes you critted. But in practice, having accuracy goes a long way)
Since with this set up, the crit can be kept up reliably, we can take full advantage of the damage as well.
Unyielding is not a bad option at all as it provides, as you mentioned, damage and aoe. But overall I ended up personally opting for the consistency trade off and went with undeniable.
Undeniable- More accurate and consistent Elemental Overload, big boost to Shield charge attack speed.
Unyielding- (we're likely to run 9ish Endur charge) 45% increased aoe, 15% increase damage( 45 - 30 from undeniable).
20 to each dex and int is already nice on its own, the rest is just welcome little bonus.

Heya. I imported your tree into Path of building. You seem to be doing fine on Resists, but if you need them in the future, your tree does have access to several Jewel nodes. Jewels are a good source of life/damage/resist. I would definitely watch on POE.trade for decent jewels.
Everything looks quite solid.
I would save up for a second Kaom's Way, then a Doryani's Catalyst for when you need more dps. (Once you have jewels to fill out the missing resist)
There is also a node next to "Stamina" endurance charge +1 node on your tree. You should take that one asap. It gives 0.2% regen per endurance. For our build that node is really efficient.

Over 8k life now but damage still feels pretty bad around 115k atm according to pob. Able to kill red elder but not before shaper dies. Not sure really sure where to go from here to improve that.

Nice build dude. Level 75 and did uber lab, had some bad dps but it worked. Maps are easy, bosses take some time.
gear is good. good armor (not Kaoms) have weapon and shield, with one Kaoms ring. The single target isn't doing well thou. What can i do to help?

your amulet adds fire damage to your attack, so that's drastically hurting your dps. The first thing to do is getting rid of that, and making sure your shield charge doesn't do fire damage at all. Then the elemental equilibrium will boost your damage big time.
the amount of people that know nothing about rf but still feel the need to make garbage videos is insane.
