This was extremely helpful! Thank you. For anyone else getting help from the video, one of the Firmstrong fender bolts has changed to a bolt and washer--there's only one like it in the set. I used that one for the back fender where it goes near the bottom of the bike.

I think it's prudent to use Loctite for applications like this, keeps the bolts/nuts tight for years.

Instead of a reflector on the forks, I have brake calipers. Do I use that same threaded bolt attaching the calipers to the frame to anchor the fender to the frame? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi I realize this thread is very old, but I just bought a used, women's huffy (no gears) and the back fender is rubbing on the tire. It's bolted down properly but keeps rubbing because something must be crooked. Should I take off the fender and try and bend it? Do you have any recommendation for me? Thanks.

Riding without fenders will let mud and water spray all up your back, which looks embarrassing as well as requiring you to change clothes immediately if you had any plans to sit anywhere.

My wife bought a Schwinn Meridan trike at Wal-Mart.
I have tried everything to stop the rear tires from rubbing. Both rear tires rub bad. I have 3 years of Mechanical Engineering in college and can not see an solution. So I chunked the fenders.
