through the Jeff Beck Group and throughout his solo career his unique guitar style
and constant desire to explore new musical areas and sounds has won him the admiration
of his peers and the adoration of legions of fans. In 2007 Jeff Beck performed a
series of concerts at the renowned Ronnie Scott's club in London. They became the
must have ticket of the year with a packed audience every night of the famous and the fans.
recorded across the different nights and presents the best version of each track.
Jeff is also joined by guests Jess Stone, Imogen Heap and Eric Clapton
for some very special performances.

Claptons solo you can understand, it makes sense., its good. Becks solo is something way out there, it makes you want to listen to it again and again to figure out what's inside the man's mind! Quite genius.
The Further On Up the Road where Jeff is playing a Tele (with a pick!) alongside Eric ('81 I think). His solo after Eric's just makes Clapton crack up and smile like "are you kidding me?!" It's so good.

@James B. McGill clapton in bluesbreakers, for me, his technique was at the top of what could be done at the time. But youre right, after that he has made many good songs which were huge, and he sings them = more famous.

Couple of things I love about this video. 1. The director, editor, whoever got it right, and focused on the guitar player during the solo. 2. It displays how versatile Beck is as a guitar player. He can play with a pick, without a pick, his use of the tremolo bar technique, and the his slide playing. And lastly the way he introduces his friend.

Mike Doyle when did Hendrix supposedly say this? Hendrix never said in any interview that someone is a best guitarist. He didn't believe in such a thing.

Simply superb. Why would anyone need to compare these two. They both have totally different styles . Jeffs slaying it on the whammy and slide and Eric's slaying it with the pick. Throw Eric on slide and there wouldn't be a match struck between them as well. There is no winner in this competition. Both of them are from another planet.

Yes it was sheer joy for both , respect to EC for replying to that onslaught of a solo where many would have had no response. The world learned today of the passing of Jeff Beck and clips such as this will remind everyone forever what a true master of his craft he was 🙏

The class of the drummer and bass player, who, with seemingly easy nonchalance supported an adlib blues epic says a lot about the depth of their talent, to discover the bass player is so young ... begs a question, and a google search on her name ... and a return after discovering her own portfolio of work to make this comment says a lot about her talent for sure.
This is hands down the greatest concert ever to be captured on film. Not just because of the music, which obviously is astonishing, but the chemistry between Jeff, Jason, Vinnie and Tal is infectious and utterly delightful. And this is just the icing on the cake, to see Jeff treating Clapton as his mate, no egos on the stage, everybody is equal.
Why SHOULDN’T he? They’re all friends. He’s known Page sine they were twelve or thirteen. No news here.

At first after Eric is introduced , I thought that this is gonna be great, then when Jeff starttd to play I thought " this can't get much better". But by the end I thought " this is as good as it can ever get". Now I don't know what to think! My brain seems to have melted.

Clapton was Excelent with CREAM, cant touch him in those years, then he kind of got on a Americanized

It sends chills down my back to watch these two interact. I can see they really like and respect each other and fit together like a hand in a glove. I wished they would do a whole album together, and have those 'allstar' backup musicians and guest singers. What a piece of vinyl THAT would be.

When Eric and Jeff started there was no Internet, no TH-cam videos to watch. Only a few blues records imported from the States that you played over and over and over again - then tried to copy and learn from. Days, weeks, months, years of practice.

Yes. And it was very clear that they upped it a notch for each other, but not to outclass or outplay. Very cool to see. It was the perfect venue for this collection. The intimacy made it all the sweeter.

Holy shit, Beck slide playing just yummy. The man’s got mojo by the bucket load. And what a deeelish tone. Shredders are cool but that sends shivers man. On another level.
Shredders end up being boring. It becomes repetitive and not terribly musical.
