After the Experience...he was going downhill...crash landing was good... Was going into jazz...he was very limited in musical knowledge...he was a great mimicker...i loved his playing..play all his tunes...even captain coconut...third stone from the sun...fun jamming.

I thought this movie was very well done and very true to reality if you know Jimi's history. The coolness of Jim's performance as he picks up the dropped drumstick with a smile and hands it to the drummer in the middle of a solo. So COOL....... Great guitar work by Waddy Wachtel. Great session guitarist, many collaborations with artist. Maybe most noted was the opening guitar work for Stevie Nick's; Edge of Seventeen"'.
The premise of this movie had promise but there was a lot here that left a lot to be desired in the portrayal of Jimi and that whole beating Kathy Etchingham with the phone receiver nevvvver happened!!

Doesn't quite sound like Hendrix. Hendrix seldom played single notes. He played combinations at the same time. He also left the impression he was playing in the moment, taking whatever sound was there and improvising with it.

Not the real Jimi Hendrix, he was 1/4 Native American and he had some white in him as well. He was totally unique and there will *never* be a guitarist, as technically good as him. Many have tried, all fall short of Jimi’s abilities. There’s the top ten guitarists of all time, we all know who so I won’t list them. Then there’s Jimi, a cut above them all combined. He did more in 5 years than most accomplish in there entire lifetime. He was just too good for us here on Earth, that’s why God took him to play in Heaven.
