Port Kells! It is rural living in the city. The elementary school has 120 students. Once considered a have not, now regarded as awesome because the teachers all know your children's names. You do need a car (or two) but the green space is beautiful and they have a public pool that isn't crowded.

Can you please make a video on how to spot a poorly managed strata when buying an old condo or townhouse? Does a unusually high strata fee mean the construction is of poor quality and therefore the claims were too many?

In it, I cover some of the signs of a well-managed strata, as well as one that is not well-managed. A high strata fee does not always signal poor construction quality and a lot of claims. Sometimes a strata with a high monthly fee is better prepared for maintenance down the road. The key is in the depreciation report, financial statements, and amount in the contingency fund which you'll see in the video. Hope this helps!
maybe you can narrow it down to best places in a person's price range? I live in Morgan Creek but bought the place like 25 years ago when the prices were a lot lower. my younger friends won't be able to afford living there at today's prices.

I grew up in surrey since 1975. It's mostly east Indian now. . neighborhoods are all pretty much the same , some have nice big yards and not as much packed.streets. Surrey is so congested from all the basement suites it's hard to find parking if you rent a suite in residential areas. All the areas are close together Whalley and Guildford and only 2 miles apart and Newton to Cloverdale is only a few miles and Langley is only a few miles away . To me it's all the same. Morgan creek sure if you can afford 2 million a home there ?? Surrey is all surrey in the end and each neighborhood is close together. . I like panarama ridge. Crescent Beach also nice if you can afford 2 million and up for beachfront homes. Beautiful homes there as well

Hi Chandan, I don’t think Surrey is a great place for bars/clubs or nightlife in general. You would be better suited in Vancouver if your budget permits.

It’s hard to say, but Newton typically has higher crime rates as well as some areas in North Surrey.
