I'm in TX. Watching some of your older videos as I ran through the new ones. Have loved the ones in Canada. My dream summer vacation. Especially if it included a train. Thanks for sharing places I will probably never see.
"I got laid off. No hard feelings. The company had to downsize. I get it." Those words hit home. I just got laid off because of COVID-19's impact, and man, it sucks. But your video makes me smile, and I do realize I'm not the only one who is jobless during this challenging time. Hope I will find a bright light at the end of the tunnel, soon. Thank you for the inspiration, Michael. You and your video saved a soul today. P.S. I just found out your channel via David from Vancouver's video. Cheers to both of you guys for making us smile with your cool videos. Stay safe, and please take care.
Your line “ I dont know where I’m going next, but I know I want you there with me” is what’s interesting and made me clicked the subscribe button👍Truly amazing videos you created👏Good luck young man🙏👍from Mississauga, Ontario
I know this is from a couple of years ago, but being relatively new to your channel, Michael, I appreciate knowing more of your story. I hope to keep watching regularly, and like how you include friends and family in numerous videos. I am in Hobbs, New Mexico, about 6 hours from Austin, TX. Wishing the best for you!
Well, I'm almost 2 years behind but here's my take: I've been watching your videos for a bit and took the plunge to subscribe because of your positive energy, the fact you take us to unusual places and we experience some things we might have not thought of had we not seen you experiencing them, you are always nice and it seems you try to engage people you meet along the way and you don't talk down to people or try to convince us to take a trip to some insanely expensive stuffy place. You take us to ordinary places and show us how to enjoy being alive and go with the flow. That's my kind of traveling. As for demographics: I'm 63 years old, live in South Carolina (USA) and travel when I can. I prefer the country to the city therefore I live on the outskirts of a medium sized city but am building a small farm in the country where I may retire someday. Stay safe traveling and see you on your next adventure. ~Sherrie in South Carolina
Wow Sherie, it sounds like you’re setting up for a wonderful new segment of your life. Thanks so much for the feedback and info. I’ll do my very best to keep bringing you interesting adventures every week. Have a great day! -Mike
I'm from The United States of America and I live in Oregon. To tell you the truth I love all your videos and I look forward to watching your show. Thank you.
I'm an Aussie, living in Europe for 13 years since retirement, currently in Munich, Germany and thoroughly enjoying your videos. Subjects are interesting, presentation and editing are excellent and your enthusiasm is addictive. You actually made a reasonably boring trip across flat, featureless landscape in Montana (with no mountains)seem interesting and entertaining. That takes skill. Happy days, keep smiling. I'm loving DownieLive.
Hey Michael! I love your channel. Originally from Barcelona, I moved to Vancouver 5 months ago and came across DownieLive while looking up things to do in town and I've been watching ever since. I really enjoy the behind-the-scenes content and everything related to Vancouver but I like everything else you post as well. Keep up the good work!
Auckland, New Zealand. Enjoy your travel reviews and your sense of humour. Travelled by rail in USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland so your reviews bring back memories. Was on the Caledonian Sleeper in the old sleeper cars as the new ones were not ready in time. Keep up the work Michael.
Hey Michael, since I’m not traveling as much as I’d like to I’m watching you from my hometown of Henderson, NV (Las Vegas). I’ve liked all the videos but discovered you watching the train traveling ones. Scotland trip looked awesome!
I am watching your channel from Phoenix, AZ. Have lived here for over 40 years. I enjoy what you make seem like spontaneous adventures in various parts of the world. I started by watching your many train trips. Loved them. I am a little older person and so some of the craziness is a bit over the top for me but I look past that and enjoy the adventure. I hope you continue to have great success with your venture. I love people with the guts to take an idea and create their own business. Education these days seems to prepare people for working for someone else. Being an entrepreneur is where it's at. I stopped working for a major corporation 44 years ago and started my own real estate business which I still enjoy. Keep up the good work.
I'm currently in San Bernardino, CA, and want to see more behind the scenes footage. TH-cam creators like yourself have a lot to offer, and it motivates me seeing what they go through for their craft.😁
I enjoyed learning a little about you. I am an 81 year old retired accountant that has had a passion for travel my entire life. I lost a lot of travel years by a bad decision but have been traveling hot and heavy for 30 years. I go to Europe a lot and plan to keep it up a while more. Pursue your passions! I have a trip to Eastern Europe booked for September. Hope it can happen.
Laval, QC here, Thanks for all your work on this channel, Michael. You're a very good at it! I'm fine with both Aventure vlogs and behind the scenes videos! Happy New Year!!
Just found your channel a few weeks ago. The train trip across Canada with your Dad. It ended with the polar bears. I loved it and I subscribed right away. I'm in Central Florida in a small city called Winter Haven. Thank you for the stories!
Just found your channel, after searching for vlogs about Tulum. Im from Algeria by the way, I like your videos they are so simple and very helpful, keep working hard you'll get rewarded for sure.
Found you at the end of last year (2022) and now I’ve gone down the rabbit hole catching up on so many videos. I really want to take a train up the East Coast & the current videos you’re doing I’m absolutely loving.
5:35 - Ironic that just after 2025 clicked over, I stumbled upon your channel with the video of you and your sister heading to see Santa in Norway… it was a great video and I’ve watched a few more since & subscribed. Today, the notice I got was for your train trip to Alaska video and that got me curious to find out where and how you started (because you stated in that video you had been laid off and decided to do this full time). And that leads me to this video from 6 years ago as you welcome in 2019 and tell your story. It just so happened that I actually saw your subscriber count clicked over from 899,999 to 900k! That’s a huge milestone for sure, so congratulations on that!! Now hopefully you hit and surpass that million subs level this year! Getting that golden plaque will be an exciting moment for you, NO doubt in that!! So well done to you, and positive wishes for 2025. Cheers from 🇨🇦 as well!!
Really appreciate your travel videos! My husband will be retiring this fall and we would love to take some train adventures! When I did a search on TH-cam of train travel, I saw your video of you and your dad riding on the train together! I thought that was so special! Stay as sweet as you are! I’m a 63 year old grandmother of 3 adorable grandkids. We reside in Lake Park NC. Many blessings!
Late to the party, but I will leave this comment. I watch on two sides of the Pacific pond. I am either in SoCal or Big Island, Hawaii. I have been watching your channel for about 2 years now, so I never saw many of these older videos. Thank goodness for the algorithm! Happy to come along. I am always ready for an adventure. So glad you have been successful and I wish you much happiness!
Great stuff! I've been watching your videos for the past 2 hours from New Orleans. I'm a retired TV news videographer/editor who spent 30+ years working at TV stations and network news operations. Back in the mid 1990s I rode the Amtrak "City of New Orleans" to Chicago for a news assignment. I was assigned a large "Accessible" room because I had so much video equipment that I brought along with me. I also spent most of the time in the observation/club car. Fun trip!
Hej Michael! I'd like you do yoga with me in Freiburg, Germany somewhere in the beautiful black forest 🏕🧘♀️ Love your videos! All of you out there stay positive and covid negative! Lucia 🤗
So much time has passed since this video and the channel has grown even more along with your hair 😀 You really have done well for yourself Mike. Keep on living your dream. Loved the travel by train series and can’t wait to see what your travel in the States by train will show. Safe travels Mike and cheers!
You remind me of myself when I was young. I started in 1958 shooting 8mm film. Through the years I have done every thing except be in front of the lenses. I to often wondered what was next. My biggest shoot was Sr. Technical producer for the 7 year shoot we had 37 16mm cameras and shot enough film to go around the world. Documenting the trans Skaskin pipeline. I got the contract because I repaired an out of sync intermittent movement on an Aries camera while waiting to talk with the executive producer. I envy you and wish you the best. My family is from Brantford, Ont. I retired just across the Detroit River. In a suburb of Detroit. My worst shoot was from 65 to 71. Just out of highschool I unlisted in the Airforce as a film camera man and spent the time doing combat films.
I thought I was late to this party, but, it seems not. Earlier to day I watched your NZ train/ferry/train/bus trip whilst planning mine for next April. I did the same trip in the reverse order over 35 years ago. Some things have changed. You looked familiar, but I couldn't place you until I came across this particular YT post which I noted in my diary as of particular interest. I've been watching Christian's exploits since he started. Yours got lost in a sea of Y'Tubers and my own travels. Your channel has managed to side track me for an entire day...thankfully it's a Sunday. Happy new year to you and safe travels.
Watching form Austin, TX (born and raised)! You did some off season magic to make Barton Springs and the Oasis look empty! I really love your vlog channel, its one of my favorites for sure. I keep watching because you are cheerful but realistic, fun but practical, prepared but are no stranger to a backup plan. I really enjoy the ones with your girlfriend Nicole?, she is awesome. I even laugh at your super corny Dad jokes. I have been to the PNW/VanBC/Rockies once a few summers ago, and all I think about is going back. I loved your 5 places to stop on the way to Tofino video, and that led me to your Ucluelet video. I did a google map of Seattle (cheapest to fly to from ATX) to Ucluelet directions and found I could easily revisit my favorite places from my previous trip, then add a ton of new places. I never really could figure out the best way to revisit that area of the continent, but that solved the puzzle! Thanks Mike.
Watching right now in Atlanta. I agree with Gretchen (the current top comment from a day ago), you are so earnest, I love it! I got here by way of your Amtrak videos. After just getting back from a Europe trip (train between Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London, Manchester) and having previously trained in Italy, India, Germany, and Japan, your Amtrak experiences are an eye opener. Your content is pretty awesome, so keep it up!
Redondo Beach, CA You're living MY Dream!!! Sharing the love with your family and friends is the best way to enjoy what you are doing!!!! I don't know where you're going next, but I'll enjoy the journey with you!!
Karen and Michael from Bonney Lake WA - We loved watching your train adventures and going to Alaska, I don’t know if you have it, but I would love to see more of Vancouver from your eyes. Coming from the US we only know a limited amount like downtown but you might have some other ideas. Or even just to share a little more out-of-the-way places, special places that you know. You do a nice job. You make it interesting. You know a lot about Canada so it would be nice to have your perspective for people who want to travel there. Medium budget. The canals in the UK were interesting. I never knew about them. Thanks. You have such a positive way of sharing.
Watching from Pardeeville WI. Also went thru a layoff. I love the train travel videos. My dad (now gone) was the son of a Chicago Transit Authority employee and loved trains. I had tears in my eyes watching you and your dad travel together. My dad would have loved that.
I've just discovered your channel (mist be a bit of a time lag here in Scotland! Lol) and love your enthusiasm. The journey with your dad for his 75th birthday was so sweet
Hi Michael, my name is Sam and I used to live in Vancouver but I just recently moved back home to China but I will still keep watching your video. I personally like to see the travel video but I want to thank you for showing some Chinese elements in your video about Vancouver (I remember you once mentioned that early Chinese immigrants had sacrificed their lives in building the Canadian National railway, etc), I know the Culture is very different and it must be HARD for you so it is very touching to see them. I bet a lot of new BC people would watch your video as a way to guide their life living in BC, if you could continue to discover some interesting BC spots with relatively short commute time from Vancouver, such as 9'o o'clock gun in Stanley park, then those people will benefit a lot. I hope your channel continues to be successful and I do really miss BC, stay safe and welcome to China one day.
Hello Michael, me watching from Malaysia... really enjoy seeing this video... a bit years behind ehmmm 🤭... I'm retired teacher 's training lecturer. Back then... luv travelling & outdoor activities with my students... but... about 7 years now... hooked at home... nursing my bedridden beloved mom. Watching your videos make me happy... cherish my day. Great job Mike... take care.
I am enjoying your vlogs, especially the railroad products which are really first rate. You can judge how well a video was produced if it gives you experience envy. I want to do the train experiences across the northern US, but also across a very green Canada. You make it look fun and we all could use some fun about now. However, I am commenting about something else beyond complimenting the quality of your work. Have you ever reached out to that college you graduated from about teaching classes on how to use and build quality products as perspective TH-camrs (with other social media too)? I teach classes online all the time and you could do this around your schedule. I think you would be really good at it. While you may not have a graduate degree, something many schools require, you have a lot of really good experience and a ready-made portfolio in this site. I look forward to your travel videos when the pandemic ends. God bless you, Michael, and good luck with your TH-camry. Stay safe, I had to shake off that bit when you were motorcycling with a friend and you took both your hands off the bars in exhilaration. Don't do that any more and I suspect your mom would agree with me (but probably not your dad). Well, in any case, I don't know what you're going to produce next, but I know I want you in it (ha! Did you see what I did there?).
Hahaha. I see what you did there, Tony 😉 Thanks very much for the kind support. I’ll keep that in mind about reaching out to my old school. I hadn’t thought of it. The problem is I can always guarantee I’m around Internet to teach a class, especially if I’m stuck on a train. Thanks again for the great comment, Tony!
I discovered your videos during the pandemic and finding neat Vancouver places to check out. Its kinda neat looking back and learning how you got to where you are now. It's also neat how the desire to travel after being laid off morphed into a full time gig as a travel vlogger for you. Good job Mike!
I am so happy you did this!! I’m a huge fan. I started following you a long time ago. I just never saw this video. I feel like I’m part of your family, like a cousin. I love your sister Jess and your wonderful parents who raised such great kids!!!
Hey Mike, from Guelph On here! Love...love...love your travel by train series, inspires me to go one day. My bf is an architect and drew the red coast guard building in Kingston in your Ontario video and he has not seen it from a different perspective. We're so pleased to see it and have been watching your videos. Thanks for showcasing awesome content-very inspiring and enjoyable! Keep it up and more power to you!!
3 years later...You were in my feed the other day, now I'm a bingewatching subscriber. I love your adventure vlogs. I especially enjoy seeing the accommodations and food. I'm in/from Mililani, Hawaii 🏝🌺
Hey Downie, I used to watch your videos from Nigeria. I am happy to say I am now in Canada and exploring just like you did. Your story is very motivational.
Got to see one of your videos just last week and got so involved that I watched almost all of your clips of your travel around Canada. Now I see this introduction of how your started from your younger days. Hats off to you. Your presentations are fantastic. I wish you the very best in all what you do. By the way I live in Dubai. I am a doctor who had worked non stop for almost 46 years and the only place I have visited in Canada is Toronto. Now your videos have stimulated me to visit other provinces too. Good luck in all your endeavours.
I just started to watch your show 2 weeks ago. I love it .I'm proud of you 😊I'm from Central fla called Summerfield near the villages I will watch all your shows I love your mom and your dad and sister and now your wife .you're always smiling. I love it. Good luck 😊😊😊
I live in Kerrville, Texas, USA. I 've just been introduced to your channel, and I admire your positive attitude, talent, humor and add these together makes me want to accompany you wherever you want to go and share with us. I'm busy at the moment viewing your earlier videos in order to learn more about you. So far, I don't have any suggestions just keep being yourself and inviting us to share life with you. At 85 years I don't have much time left. I've enjoyed a life of working, traveling, raising a family and now enjoying my TH-cam travels and entertainment. Best of luck to you and your family this new year of 2020. Anticipating seeing more of you and having fun as I join you!! Thanks!!
I'm a little late watching this video from a wee bit north of Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I've been really enjoying the adventure videos - some places I've been, some I haven't, some I never knew I wanted to visit. Please keep 'em coming - I'm traveling vicariously thru you & your friends, and loving event moment !!!! 😎
Mike, your videos are great! I like both the travel as well as the behind the scenes videos. Not only are they informative, they are also fun to watch. I am from just north of Syracuse, NY, a town called Clay. Please keep on just as you are doing now, and thank you for your time and effort!
I'm in Vancouver and I actually only came across your videos today. I moved here 6 years ago and haven't seen 90% of your BC material. So you've actually inspired me to go and explore BC... Even Vancouver. Your videos are superbly made. Keep it up, and when international travel is open, I have some great recommendations! Luxor and Aswan first of many. It's a tour on a boat hotel. Best of luck!
HI, I only discovered your channel about a month ago while watching train videos. I'm in Calgary so I can really appreciate the train trips through and into B.C. The one with your dad was awesome! Great memories for you both. Watched the Porsche driving one last night. Your videos are really well done! Glad you are putting in the work for us.
A suggestion is Norway. Above the arctic circle. Have only been there in summer with the midnight sun. Picked lots of cloudberries, went dog sledding in midnight sun (sled had wheels) , we ate whale. Winter would be cool too, lots of snow but not frigid cold.
Hey Michael. Loving watching your videos. Really enjoy the adventure travel elements, your quirky humour and simply watching you having a good life.... Enjoy the train journeys, the tourist travel and the life adventures... When I was your age I did a 3.5 yr world adventure traveling overland through 54 countries.... I have boxes of photos but I now wish that TH-cam had been a thing and that I could just sit and enjoy my many adventures. As a result I get to reminisce on my travels through watching yours. Please keep up the good work. Bruce
It's better late than never Mike? I just joined your channel. I love your channel and you. You asked where I'm from... Northern Los Angeles County. I liked your travel blogs as I'm handicapped and live vicariously through your adventures. Keep up the great work, Denis
Adventure blogs with your family and friends. They are a direct reflection on and of you and a reason why I watch your videos instead of that boring TV.
Love your channel. I watch from a little town of Shinglehouse, Pa. There is allot of early rail history right in my backyard. I love your railroad adventures. Keep up the great work
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel I'm currently catching up on everything you've posted. I am watching from Ledyard, CT, USA 9 hours from the Eastern Most Point of the USA. Please keep posting more adventure vlogs and make them LONGER! I love your 20-40-60 minute long episodes!
I stumbled across your site when I saw your trip aboard the Alaska ferry from Bellingham, WA, which is where I live. I have been hooked and watching your videos on a daily basis. I really like following your adventures. I worked as a travel writer and photographer and love seeing where you go next.
I’m from Western Australia. I Love your video of the train ride in Scotland. Thank goodness I stumbled on your channel as I’m sick of fashion blogs and can’t bare to watch anymore of them. Just love the travel videos.
I'm watching from Vancouver BC and impressed on your motivation to show places that I don't know yet. Glad to know your. I'm interested to more adventure.
I'm sitting here, in December, 2020, subbed today. I live in Norfolk, England, in a lovely old Market Town called Wymondham (Wind-um). I truly enjoy your good humour, enthusiasm for life, and whatever you present, it's engaging and informative. Just do what you like, boss, it's all good!
Watching from Birdsboro Pa. Located 9 miles between Reading and Pottstown Pa. I would love to see more behind the screens videos. You learn so much more from those videos. Thanks for creating the channel. Only just found your site but will be sure I’ll be watching more
I'm 39, I have never financially been able to travel until I started my new career in 2020 running a NH, USA Golf Course/Club. As of recent, I now have the funds and plan on taking a train across the US from Claremont, NH to Reno, NV for the journey and adventure with my Fiance' during my off season this year in November. I can't wait! Your video's are extremely informative, non-biased, and I love them so thank you and I'm so happy to know you're finding more success!
1. Watching from my home in Cairns, Far North Queensland. 2. Your channel is gem. Your enthusiasm is infectious. It’s great you still love your home city and find things to do there which you enjoy and will inspire visitors. Most of all I love your train journeys.. 🇦🇺🏳️🌈
I also came across with your SF-Seattle video. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Your videos remind me my desire for experience new places and meeting new people. Also how amazing Canadians are! Have a good 2020!
And now, 100,000s of subscribers later, you have made a name. You have a very engaging personality, with a real zest for adventure. I have only recently discovered you (via Will Rossy), but I am impressed. I can imagine you were a bit of a prankster in school, but I am jealous of that class in film production you took in the Holly Van days. I am more interested in travels & adventures than the behind-the-scenes stuff. I have been to all 50 states and every province, except PEI and Newfoundland, and lived in 10 states, including 5 years in Seattle and 1 in Portland. I have been to Vancouver numerous times and love BC - thecparadise of North America. I am currently in Beaufort, SC - outside Charleston, and spend some summer months in New Hampshire - to escape the humidity and hurricane threats. Love both places at their prime season, but was raised in the Detroit, Michigan area. However, left the state after graduating UMichigan to explore the world, seek nicer places and better weather. Except for the high taxes (and the Covid tyranny), I like much of Canada - especially BC and the great city of Montreal on the eastern side of the country.
I recently discovered your channel, and subscribed. Growing up, my family travelled around the world and I loved it growing up! After University, it was a recession and my life got duller and tougher. Now over 40 years later, I'm retired and ready to start travelling again! I live in Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan, across the river from Windsor, Ontario, Canada! My paternal grandfather was Canadian. So I am enjoying your travel videos, as you are like me and like to explore a city beyond the tourist traps! I also enjoy behind the scenes videos, so it would be great to see you do a mix of both. I'm a retired technical writer, hence my my very long comment! 😉😀
I am a local, from Surrey. Found you because of your Rocky Mountaineer trip (former employee). I have watch many more of your train trips since. Makes me excited to travel again. ☺
Watching from Pennsylvania, USA. You caught my eye not long ago when I noticed a segment on train travel in the USA. My initial thought was that it was a brave move to even tackle such a dull subject given the deteriorated state of our rail system. However your coverage gave me a new sense of adventure if I need to travel between cities on the few routes that still exist. Having lived, travelled and worked much of my life and career in Europe spoiled me as to how convenient and efficient rail travel can be.
I'm in Memphis, Tennessee enjoying your videos. Follow your heart on what videos to make. I, personally, enjoy your rail videos. You have great enthusiasm. Not to mention, you're easy on the eyes. 😉 Keep up the great work. Thank you.
I recently discovered your channel (trains). Love the adventure videos. Your Vancouver videos are perfect because I hope to visit before the end of 2023. I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I just stumble over this video. I live in Vancouver now, originally from Montreal. I just love your adventures. They are great and educationnal. Keep it up. I'm following........
I just found your channel, me and my boyfriend binge watched your videos and we love them. We live in Vancouver too, but we have been learning so much about new things we can do in our own province and we want to go to some of the places you visited!
Mike, Keep your videos coming.... even though you are limited in your travels..... you live in a beautiful area.... show us. More than anything, it helps while we are still in isolation mode. Its very much appreciated. Jon
I just found your channel today and have really enjoyed watching your vlogs. I have watched Lost LeBlanc's vlogs for awhile now and I recently found a channel featuring living in a tiny RV based out of Halifax so I am having a great time visiting Canada and seeing places that I have not seen before. Currently, I live in Phoenix(and it is still hot here) but have had homes in Anchorage and Seattle and have traveled the world so thanks for all your hard work in bringing your journey to life and I wish you only the best!
I'm watching from Ottawa, though I've visited Vancouver every few years since 1983. I'm most interested in your behind the scenes videos of the transit system; the trolleybus system - now the only one in Canada - would be a good subject.
I am watching from Northwest Indiana. I enjoy both Travel and behind the scenes as I think a variety of videos keeps things interesting. Really enjoyed the video of the Vegan Ranch in Texas with the up close animals and learning about them. Thanks Mike for all your work in filming and editing for all to enjoy. Looking forward to what is in store for 2020.
Michael I have been watching you for a few months. I tend to like the adventure videos with a little history behind what I am watching. That’s why I subscribed. You are very comfortable in front of camera and take the time to tell viewers a little of what we are watching. Your Good content and edit will keep me watching. I am in Amesbury MA. USA. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! 👍👍
I just found this channel. I love these travel channels that take us away dunring these harsh times. And I love your channel! Directly from São Paulo, SP - Brazil!
Hi Michael. I just got onto your blog yesterday and love your travel blogs. I am from Johannesburg, South Africa. I would like to see more of your travel blogs.
I am watching from Voorhees Township, NJ, near Philadelphia, PA. Love your train videos especially. You have a great personality and present your content in an easy to follow manner.
I'm from a northern California town an hr north of San Francisco. I love your videos, you're a breath of fresh air. Anything you make I will watch. I found you because I was looking for train travel experiences. Up all night watching your videos. xo
I just found this and I'm loving it here in Kansas City!!! I stumbled upon your vlog looking for an amtrak train vlog and from there I went down the DownieLive rabbit hole! They have all been excellent. I love your enthusiasm and positive vibe that comes across so authentic/unforced. Much needed during these crazy times. The virus sucks limiting your travels but enjoying the heck out of the most recent ones closer to your Vancouver home. I've been there just once and hope to get back someday as it is awesome. Thanks again and keep up the great work. You are impacting lives in a positive way and that's pretty priceless these days.
Just found you because of trains and Scotland. I am from Novi Michigan, 30 minutes North West of Detroit. We bought the tall roof Promaster for customizing to travel. My goal would be to mix it up with train trips and jaunts overseas. Thank you for your content. It is very inspiring and helpful. Cheers!
Love this guy. Presentation is always fun and sincere. He is the kind of guy I want my daughter to marry ! Thanks for making vlogging fun .
Yes. Son in law material says my hubby...So I said "maybe he likes guys!" My hubby said "if so, I'm leaving you for him. He's always happy."
My gf Nicole will love these comments 😄😄
Thanks guys! Made my day!
John L this comment pretty much nails it. Super chill kid. Great attitude. Always an interesting adventure.
I'm in TX. Watching some of your older videos as I ran through the new ones. Have loved the ones in Canada. My dream summer vacation. Especially if it included a train. Thanks for sharing places I will probably never see.
I’m happy to share my country with you, whether you come to explore for yourself or simply live vicariously through my videos.
"I got laid off. No hard feelings. The company had to downsize. I get it."
Those words hit home.
That is awesome! Thanks so much, Daryl! I'm glad to have you here and hope to bring you many more videos!
I‘m watching from Germany! I love your videos, they’re just so authentic. Love the Canada Vlogs the most, please keep them up:)
Nice! Thanks for watching and the comment.
Super happy to have you follow along. Lots more coming in 2019!
Winnipeg, MB...Adventure and behind the scenes and anything else you can think of, why just pick one? Great job on the channel, keep it up!
Hey Michael, since I’m not traveling as much as I’d like to I’m watching you from my hometown of Henderson, NV (Las Vegas). I’ve liked all the videos but discovered you watching the train traveling ones. Scotland trip looked awesome!
Awesome! Thank you!
Serge! Thank you.
I lived in Quebec City for 6 months. I love Quebec!
Thanks for watching.
Wow! The algorithm just suggested this video to me and as a small newish channel myself, this warms my heart! You're an inspiration to many!
I just found your channel by looking for Amtrak info. North of Seattle here. I'm anxious to watch more from your archives.
Oh awesome! So close to me. I live in Vancouver! Welcome!
Exactly how I stumbled onto the channel
Found you at the end of last year (2022) and now I’ve gone down the rabbit hole catching up on so many videos. I really want to take a train up the East Coast & the current videos you’re doing I’m absolutely loving.
Watching from Leavenworth Wa lol, thanks for the town review by the way. Digging the channel!
Oh right on!
Great little town you have there!
Thanks for joining!
Watching from Shanghai, China. Great job Michael and can’t wait to take that train across Canada when I get out of here.
That’s so cool! Thanks for sharing and welcome aboard
Its suprising that a small TH-cam like you go full but I love it
Thanks man. Honestly, I’m so happy doing it and I make it work by taking paid video gigs on the side.
Hey I just found this I’m in Baltimore USA I’d love to see more travel by train or even road trips thank you😘
Late to the party, but I will leave this comment.
You 31 , you look younger than that😉
Thanks man! 😀
I thought the same thing! Not that 31 is "old" - I just thought you might be fresh out of college.
@@DownieLive i am from dellhi
Great stuff! I've been watching your videos for the past 2 hours from New Orleans. I'm a retired TV news videographer/editor who spent 30+ years working at TV stations and network news operations. Back in the mid 1990s I rode the Amtrak "City of New Orleans" to Chicago for a news assignment. I was assigned a large "Accessible" room because I had so much video equipment that I brought along with me. I also spent most of the time in the observation/club car. Fun trip!
Thanks Steve! Sounds like you had a great trip!
Hej Michael! I'd like you do yoga with me in Freiburg, Germany somewhere in the beautiful black forest 🏕🧘♀️
Love your videos! All of you out there stay positive and covid negative! Lucia 🤗
So much time has passed since this video and the channel has grown even more along with your hair 😀
You really have done well for yourself Mike.
Robert, I Bet You Have Some Very Interesting Film Footage, Consider Digitize Some Of Your Footage, And It Would Be Great For TH-cam.
From Sacramento CA ... Loving all the train trips (across Canada, Florida to Alaska, etc) ... Please keep up the awesome videos!!
Hahaha. I see what you did there, Tony 😉
Thanks very much for the kind support.
Mike I only stumbled across your channel a few months ago but I've enjoyed living vicariously through your travel videos. I'm eager.to keep watching!
Thanks Caryn!
Watching from Poland. Moved here a year ago fresh out of college. You’re an inspiration to me. I Vlog for fun but nothing like what you do!
That is awesome! Welcome!
Bruce
Worcester, MA. here. Airplane and train videos are the videos I enjoy the most, happy travels!
Awesome! Thank you!
@@DownieLive Thank you! Keep up the great work!
I became a subscriber about 10 months ago, because of your train video's. Travel and behind the scenes, all of the above. Pinckney, Michigan. USA
Sounds great! Thanks Michael!
Enjoy!
Fantastic Jim!
I’ll keep the videos coming for you. Thanks!
Great video showing Vancouver my hometown. Found your channel yesterday and still watching it this morning.
Alright! Thanks Michael! (And great name by the way!)
I'm in Memphis, Tennessee
enjoying your videos.
Follow your heart on what videos to make.
I, personally, enjoy your rail videos.
You have great enthusiasm.
Not to mention, you're easy on the eyes.
😉
Keep up the great work.
Thank you.
I appreciate that
From Las Vegas, NV and love all of the videos I have watched so far! We have visited Vancouver several times...beautiful city!
I recently discovered your channel (trains). Love the adventure videos. Your Vancouver videos are perfect because I hope to visit before the end of 2023. I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Watching from Houston, TX and enjoying both the travel and behind the scenes episodes.
That is awesome! Enjoy exploring together!
Mike, Keep your videos coming.... even though you are limited in your travels..... you live in a beautiful area.... show us. More than anything, it helps while we are still in isolation mode. Its very much appreciated.
Jon
Will do, Jon! Lots more Vancouver videos coming!
Thanks Ben! Happy New Year!
Marion, in western North Carolina, US. Originally tuned in for the great train trips, but enjoy all of your work!
Larry! Thanks so much for the response. I will make sure to make many more adventure videos for you!
Thank you again!
I am viewing from long island...please keep up the good work Mike. I particularly like the videos woth you snd Will Edmond!

I just found this channel. I love these travel channels that take us away dunring these harsh times. And I love your channel! Directly from São Paulo, SP - Brazil!
Thanks Fabio! Welcome!
Up all night watching your videos. xo
Thank you Dorie! I’m currently on a train right now in Europe, so more train videos coming for you soon!
Thanks so much, Paul! I'm really glad you enjoy them and appreciate the support.
Cheers!
Cape Breton! I love how you take different people with you on your adventures!
Hi from Mn. Raised in Seattle where my heart still is. Been to Vancouver and am in love with Canada. Really enjoy your work.
Wow, thanks so much! Thanks for watching!
Hey Michael. I'm in Philadelphia. This is June 2023. I like the travel vloging. Especially your Amtrak videos. Which I know came after this video.
