BBB does not require 64-bit. Just highly recommended with the blender textures used. Likely to run into issues, but if you have a high-end GPU, it will run fairly well in 32-bit
When you say high end gpu, are we talking like 1080ti or something newer like the 3080? I know I saw a few people post they were having issues trying to run 32 bit with 3060s which made me believe 64 is the way to go. I mean I still think 64 is the way of the future and it’s here. And that’s awesome!
@@ggpinball1890 a 3060 would be better than 1080 ti, but significantly worse than a 3080-ti. It’s better to go 64-bit regardless because moving memory around is happening in 64-bit instead of 32-bit regardless of platform. It’s just that better GPUs are better at offloading texture processing, so results can vary. I would just tell people that switching to 64-bit is preferred, but if you are concerned, there is no imperative to do it now. Let the community get more knowledge and experience to help those with less of both
The 64-Bit switch shows the disaster with VPX and all those 3rd party tools you need to keep it running. Instead of creating a new VPX that is easy to use, tables get bloated, Serum another file format for Color ROMs. All this hassle is not the future, it's a thing of the past. Don't know if the Unity approach will lead to something better. Only time will tell.
You have earned a new subscriber!! I am new to VPX pinball. Keep of the good work👍👍
Great show! I upgraded this weekend and things are running smooth.
Everytime I watch Virtual Pinball News of the Week, the theme song rolls through my brain for the next two days! 🤣
If you are ever in the mood of more stuff like that…. open.spotify.com/artist/4GFsubNnmr7ifPF4RgnDAE?si=UZmADCAeRWGG-pu_F8dbqQ
You should cover VR as well. That's where these tables really come to life.
I would love to cover it, but it’s hard for me as I do not own a VR set. Maybe that could be the first GGPinball Gofundme 🤔😂
Congrats on the 1k subs.
Always good stuff in your show! GCC and others are always around to help with any issues if any with the upgrade. Thank you for the shout out!

64-bit has more to do with how many bits the CPU can process in a cycle than memory usage.
Is that directly towards vpx? I figured it was more ram related. Either way, excited that 64 bit is here!

I hear what you are saying. Maybe this leaves a good opportunity for you to design and create said future?
