Hi - great videos, thank you for posting. I have one question that I cannot figure out, is it worth it to get a 4k projector on a 4:3 aspect ratio? I read different opinions. I see you use a 4:3 and have improved graphics, so I'm assuming the answer is yes, but what am I missing in understanding this?
If you have the budget for it, it's absolutely worth going 4k! There is a lot of cross talk that running a 4:3 aspect ratio with a 4K projector isn't 4k, but they are incorrect... You're still getting 4k as you are achieving 4 times the pixels as 1080P. I can say with 100% certainty that 4K is extremely visible, especially when your projecting such a large image like on a simulator. Every time I test a 1080P projector, I am anxious to get back to my 4K projector😂
I recently ordered a BenQ AH500ST and plan to use it in both indoor and outdoor settings. Have you had a chance to test its performance outdoors? My setup will include some "light-blocking" materials around the enclosure, and I’m hoping they’ll be sufficient to preserve the projector’s picture quality.
I have not tried outdoors, but I have used it in full brightness in my setup and it was still fairly bright. Having 4000 lumens should help your situation.
Hello, I bought 2 sets of these pipe shelfs from amazon, amzn.to/4fPpXw9 and then just pieced it together how I wanted and added wood pieces from a local supplier. There's a lot of different styles and versions on Amazon, you just use the different threaded fittings to set it how you want.
The AH500 has a shorter throw ratio, which may or may not be necessary based on your launch monitor and setup. The AH700ST has a short throw ratio, but not as short as the 500. In addition, the AH700ST has auto screen fit. Aside from some slight aesthetics on the exterior, they are very similar in specs. Feel free to reach out to us at pixelgolfco.com, happy to get on a call and talk through your buld to determine which may be best for you.
Went looking for sales on the 500st but came across a sale on the TK700STi 4K from BenQ. 1299$ from Best Buy. Which do you think would be better for a garage setup? Is 4k that impressive?
The TK710STI is a great projector, but the biggest thing you need to think of is the brightness output. If you have a pretty low lit environment you may be fine with the 3000 lumens on the 700STI, but if you have a brighter area you may want to go with a projector with more lumens like this one. 4K makes a BIG difference in image quality, but if you're sacrificing brightness, you could end up with a less impressive image overall. The other thing to consider is you need a more powerful PC to run 4K smoothly so that also adds extra cost. Finally, the 700STI will need to be about twice as far back as this projector so you'll need to confirm it will work with your screen, hitting location and room. Feel free to reach out to me directly and I am happy to talk you through your build and what works best for you.

Can the wireless dongle work with the PC as well? I'm trying to understand how it can work with iOS and Windows device.
Thank for the content
It basically does screen share, which will work best with less graphic hungry software like the Garmin R10 that has IOS support.
How do you think will compare to the ak700st that is coming out soon? 4k and 4,000 lumens.
I have that projector for review, so stay tuned!
Good morning, how do I go about getting my home course designed? Can you point me in the right direction please?
Hello, There are a lot of designers that offer builds on the SGT SimulatorGolfTour Discord.

@@PixelGolf thank you! When will you be reviewing the AK700ST? I just ordered one!
Would the 700 be a good fit for floor mount the 500 is backordered to long out
The problem with the 700 is it would be too far back for a floor mount and would introduce some more problems with casting shadows and placement.

Where did you get the computer desk from??

I’m torn between benq Ah500 700 the TK700sti and TK10sti, Panasonic vmz51 any advice I’d possibly like the best look on the screen thanks
If you have the budget, I would get the brand new AK700ST. It's kind of hard to beat at the price and what you're getting!
What’s difference between AH500 and 700 thanks

Looks like the AH500 and AH700 are the same price. If the shorter throw ratio is not a necessity, which one would you buy?
What size screen please
The screen in this video is 85” tall by 115” wide.

Is there a concern about the projector being hit as it is mounted in front of the golfer?
Not with the way the swing arc is. I used my old Optoma projector in this same spot for over 2 years and it was never a problem.
would this unit be too hot to mount on a small child?
😂I mean, it didn't run very hot at all...
