Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
This video contains a paid advertisement - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
1) customer drives stock wrangler into an area they cant get out of 2) Matt shows the world how a stock jeep can do it 3) more stock jeeps head out to the rocks and sand and get stranded 4) Matt has more recoveries - great business strategy.
That's some outside the box thinking. I like it. And cuddos to Matt if that was the plan all along😂
Modern problems require modern solutions 😂
Officially, this was sponsored by SimpliSafe. Unofficially, this is a Jeep commercial.
5 send rory to pull Matt out of here
But for the price of a recovery Matt will give you a personal demonstration of what your vehicle can do.
Kudos to the Jeep owner who realized he got in over his head and called for help. A lot of us knuckleheads would have kept going until we broke something.
*have 😅
How else are you going to learn? When in doubt, throttle out. Send it!
@@awdeveauBeat me too it😂

wheeling skill vs newbie , but least this will be a good lesson for the owner on how to wheel his jeep and what its capable of but driver mod is a real thing lol
This video was an excellent example of why lockers are necessary for most people, while simultaneously showing that if you have enough time behind the wheel, you don't always need lockers.
The way the Jeep would slip and then suddenly go is due to the computer applying brakes to the spinning wheel so you get torque to the other. That's far from being as good as a locker, but it still helped a lot.
Its amazing how far those "digital lockers" got it. @@cedricpomerleau5586
"I just say that to make you nervous.. you're not gonna roll! (And if you do just gas out of it)" Matt's timing at it's best 😄
This does show how capable a stock Wrangler performs, and how big a difference a pro vs a amateur driver makes. Good job all!
You have to learn somehow. Mistakes are lessons learned. It's just a matter of damage vs cost at a certain point. How much are you willing to put on the line. I have a feeling that a lot of people wouldn't have called for help until they needed it towed out.
This was better than any commercial Jeep could have produced and filmed to sell their product...simply awesome Jamie, Matt and crew, you guys rock.....crawl 😅
Yeah I'm TH-cam premium but if Jeep isn't running ads throughout this recovery they need to hire a new ad agency
I'm really impressed by the capabilities of that car. Matt rescued a contractor 1 or 2 years ago who got stuck in the same car but he got stuck at the top of the Mountain. The car went up there without a problem.
If it's the end of the world, and there are only stock cars out there, i go for the jeep. It goes anywhere and you don't even need to modify anything.
Agreed, I just wish Jeep would stop dumping too many modules into their vehicles. Wish all manufacturers would go back to simple vehicles and no excessive use of computers.
I'm not a Jeep guy, but this was the best Jeep ad ever!
@@MurCurieux I don't think excessive use of computers is bad, it's the anti-consumer practices using proprietary software that is compatible with the computer. For instance, new vehicles have sensors within the headlights, now to install new headlights, you need to calibrate the computer with these sensors after spending several hundred on new headlights and you can't calibrate them at home because you don't have the software.
The drone coverage showed us just how much your camera guys have to move around to get the footage we love to see. Great job!
Hey, I appreciate the customers that agree to be filmed. I hope you don't feel any shame or embarrassment as neither Matt, his crew, nor does this viewer assess any on you.
You were out being brave and having fun in a beautiful spot. I would daresay you did more and got your machines further than I could have!!
It's good entertainment and education all around.
It almost makes me want to come to southern Utah and get myself stuck just so I can meet Matt and be a part of the channel!
I totally agree, unlike others that exceed their limits, that driver survived and his car came out in one piece, good job.
This has to be a paid commercial for Stellantis-Jeep
Maybe not this guy, but most idiots, yes, they should feel embarrassed when they get their Hyundai Elantra stuck in the middle of nowhere.
No Winch, No Matt's Rope, No damage to skid plates... Impressive.
Love your videos. Especially since I don't get out anymore. Since I broke my back two years ago and I'm paralyzed now.. Love to see the outdoors. And your coworkers/family are the best keep up the great work.😉
I experienced a concussion and get dizzy really easy now, especially on bumpy rides. Watching these guys really brightens my day up. Hope you are doing well.
Jesus man. I'm not sure I could handle that. These videos help me through some rough times, I'm glad they can help you as well.
OMG! I'm so, so sorry to hear that! Not too many comments make me cry. This one did.😢
Don’t let it stop you - I broke mine 25 years ago and ski, bike, and wheel. There are ways to do it as long as there is a will.
As someone who has never done any sort of rock crawling, I never cease to be amazed when watching these videos just how much grip the tires can generate. Even with only 2 tires fully in contact with the rock, they can still manage to pull these vehicles up some really steep obstacles. It's impressive to watch!
That's why I have a set of 33 inch Nittos and I live in Jeep country Toledo ohio. Damn potholes can swallow a full size entirely, where do you think the Jeep idea stemmed from?😂😂😂
What about the tyres on your car holding the road at 70mph, same principle, different compound.
If you air down properly, it's not that amazing
@@southwestxnorthwest it is if you never done it, I stayed at my brother's home for a bit and his 4WD tractor would bog so often but I reduced the pressure from 25 to 16 psi without telling him and drove all over the place.
Absolutely some of the BEST video you've captured when it comes to showing us via camera just how gnarly this terrain is. Loved the wide shots and the high overhead drone shots.
Completely agree with this comment. So awesome to see it from above! The one where they stranded themselves had some cool drone shots in it too which really showed the magnitude of the situation. Really cool to see 👏
Great to see all the dogs along for the recovery!
The weather has cooled off enough now for them to take them with.
One of my favorite clips of the dogs was when the Wrecker got stuck at the bottom while with the Porsche and Matt laid down in the water and I think it was Peanut that walked in and laid down in down in the water with him.
@@MidnightMadness4x4they had a video this week with someone buried in the mud. When Matt was connecting the Yankum Rope Peanut came up and laid in the mud next to him. Of course it was their first outing with the updated Blue Shield so Matt was apologizing to Robbie as he dropped Peanut on the back floor.
@SharonRepici I mightve seen that actually. Not 100% sure. I'd have to see it again.
Jamie is a rock star. The whole crew show great professionalism in what they do. Longer or more videos please.
The beautiful Jamie is always a pleasure to watch.
"These pretzels...are making me THIRSTY!"
😂😂
as a stock jeep owner, I enjoyed this video. IT reminded me of the time I let a professional drive my Z28 around an autocross track. It was very educational to see what my vehicle could do, even if I could not make it do it myself yet. Similarly with the Jeep, I do not yet know what it can do, or what I can get it to do. And while watching modified rigs on youtube is fun, it is not all that educational, because it is not directly applicable. But I am more interested in getting out there and actually doing it. Thank you
It’s amazing to see how well the stock Jeep did! Driver mod for sure. Will never be on this level and we don’t have this terrain around, but would be fun to experience.
Prefer to see this type of content too, shows the problem solving of how a rig without the ground clearance etc gets around obstacles.
Awesome video 👍
@FreeUpTheWeed While a stock Jeep is impressive, the Jeep in the video has upgraded tires that look like the ones on the Rubicon trim level. Also, rock sliders aren't standard equipment which leads me to believe the vehicle was bought as is but with factory upgrades.
Matt’s ability to get the job done, while filming in HD, with grace, humility, and professionalism is SO refreshing. To do in front of a huge unsolicited audience is absolutely astounding.

Awesome video. Matt's driving really gets the most out of that stock Jeep with no lockers. And kudos to Jeep for still selling a modern vehicle that will actually follow the drivers inputs with minimal computer interference.
Actually in this case the computer helped. The way the Jeep would slip and then suddenly go is due to the computer applying brakes to the spinning wheel so you get torque to the other. That's far from being as good as a locker, but it still helped a lot.
Those drone shots were perfect. Gave a great new perspective to the terrain. Love it.
MORR camera crew out there killing it!! The hustle is super impressive! Good job guys!
a sweet reminder that the banana is a beast on its own, no matter who is at the wheel- any of the clowns or Jamie 😂
😂😂😂
Jamie has a very very huge amount of patience …..both for driving and dealing with her really “helpful “ instructor and ability to get out of horrendous situations and what “ great skills “ at driving 👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
The capabilities of that stock Jeep are beyond impressive.
Good job to both the customer and MORR team for getting it through.
A great lesson in four wheel driving. Great to watch a good driver take a stock jeep over slick rock obstacles. I would really like to see Matt do a series of tutorials on four wheel driving.
It's just amazing when you get someone behind the wheel that knows what they are doing can do. Kudos's Matt, Jaime and crew.
That Jeep is going to have stories to tell to its grandkids that all start with..."That one time Matt drove..."
Nicely done! I have to say, Lady is really continuing to get back in shape, it's approaching where it's hard to tell her from Peanut. The pre-measured food and treat tubs for each day seems to be the ticket. I had to start doing that for my 11 year old, 16-pound cat. BTW, he's big, 16 pounds it good for him, but he shot up to 17 between vet visits, and she said no more unlimited food bowl.
That stock Jeep did a pretty good job considering, no lockers or mods. It just goes to show you what a few decades of intense driving experience is capable of doing behind the wheel of such a rig. Nothing against the owner, or renter of the Jeep. That was some pretty difficult stuff there, and there was lots of potential for damage or rolling without the experience. It was the right move to ask for help to prevent harm. Your Jeep did excellent. Databyter
The way the Jeep would slip and then suddenly go is due to the computer applying brakes to the spinning wheel so you get torque to the other. That's far from being as good as a locker, but it still helped a lot.
True, also, a lot of people give up to easy or too early on obstacles. They have the best line, everything is right, and it still won't go. So they figure, well that is that. You see the tires spinning. But the experienced let those tires spin. And they give it the beans for a few minutes. It's not stubborness, they are heating the tires, then they back off and bump over with sticky hot tires. A pro move that most weekend warriors miss. The difference between getting over, and giving up.
Favorite jokes from this video: The weather report, and “this is a bad place to park.” 😂 Love this channel! So wholesome and fun! I have an XJ myself so I love to see how capable the banana is! Keep up the great work Matt and team!
Torque it up until you strip it, then back off half a turn. LOL. Um, that one makes me blush, actually.
Ending line was great. "Seriously? You guys really are clowns." Lol....
That's shows how great and how far Jeep has stepped up their game. A stock Jeep and a great driver can do some awesome stuff.
How great and far? Jeez man, the jeep completed the trail with Matt driving it because it’s a 4wd vehicle with lockers/LSD, solids, and 33’s, same recipe people have used for ages, and you pay an exorbitant premium for those features from Jeep. Sure, it’s a capable vehicle, but it’s not like it’s a “deal”.
Edited for grammar
@@jimyeats rubicon has lockers. This specific jeep is open diff.
@@jimyeats I meant that for the 1st 10 years after Chrysler bought Jeep, you had to put a ton of money into it just to go off-road. Now that Jeep has stepped up their game, you can go off-road anytime.
@@Spartan-hs8nn Gotta disagree man. The YJ was equally capable to the CJ-7/CJ-5. And the Wagoneer was one of the most capable SUVs on the market at that time. Both were certainly capable going off-road bone stock. I have experience with both vehicles
@@jasonmelendez5039 Yeah I didn’t realize that had changed. Looks like they have some sort of limited slip. Can’t believe only one Wrangler model now has a rear locking diff and you can’t just add one from the factory (at least that what it says online right now).
Jaime is AWESOME! Matt is AWESOME! Watching them both drive difficult trails and obstacles is AWESOME! They are AWESOME! (I think I pretty much covered it.)
It got said already in much better words than I could, never the less I wanted to say how impressiv it is to watch how Matt wheeled that thing outa there and I could realy relate to the owner who obviously was very dissappointed with himselfe. He probably didn't realized it then, but he witnessed an absolute professional doing what they do best: make it look easy. I would have called for help aswell, because I wouldn't want to roll my fairly new Jeep.
So once again, thanks for the entertainment! It realy was something else to see a stock Jeep doing his thing! :)
one of many learned lessons 😅 1-you need a good spotter 2- driver needs guts 3-it’s not always the ‘lack’ in the vehicle as much as the ‘lack’ of the driver 😊
Nothing better than starting the day with Matt n the Crew!
Matt is without a doubt, A seriously serious, off-road professional-driver!! Jaymie is really coming-along great!!
This episode was brought to you by simply safe. And it’s simply safe to say Matt can stupendously strategize how to steer stock Jeeps to safety simply.
The Jeep sponsorship is gonna be tough to write for. 😂

Impressed with how capable a stock jeep is
Keep in mind that Matt is an incredibly talented driver. It takes many years and a special touch to do this with such little drama.
It should be, you pay a premium. It’s not like you’re buying some budget brand SUV. You’re paying a ton of money for a vehicle that is supposed to be decent off road, to make up for its other shortcomings.
@@jimyeatsbut others and marketing would lead you to believe that you need 3 light bars, 3 Jerry cans, 10 inch lift, sliders, and bead locks to do any trail. Let alone rock crawling. Still impressive in stock.
@Brotherhood676 just sliders and lockers; there would be even less drama.
I have a stock '89 Cherokee 4.0 two-door with lockers and a/t tires and I go places that devour lifted trucks and such. It's a mud monster and I'm constantly pulling trucks out of mud holes😅
In Florida when we encounter a sippy hole that is too big we just turn around and go back the way we came. I know it's not the fun way. But it is the most sensible way. But let's make this fun . And keep trudging on. LOL
Surprisingly capable little factory Jeep!
Of course, also a VERY capable driver too!

Great rescue! The owner of the jeep made a wise decision to give you a call!! That jeep was surprisingly capable!
Jamie displayed real offroading skills in this one. The scenery is beautiful. I hope the customer captured good pictures showing where their Jeep was on vacation!
Great recovery. Showed the difference between real lockers and an electronic adjusted system.
But for a stock jeep, it did pretty good.
Great video as always! Gives us an idea of how a stock Jeep performs on very tough terrain. Oh, by the way, I love cucumber Gatorade. Nice seeing Max, Lady, and Peanut back together as well!
That was very impressive driving. The ending was my favorite lol. Great video as always!
I think that right there embodied the true spirit of off-roading - carefully taking a vehicle just beyond it limits! Great Job!!
So did you go out and hit some trails this weekend?
Its wild how that jeep looks silver with the cameras close up but looks blue with the drone footage.. but awesome driving Matt & Jaime an great work MORR crew for everything yall do..
Matt is seriously one of the best off-road drivers in the world… He took that Jeep to the absolute limits, and then encouraged it to do a little more, just for him…. AMAZING VIDEO, loved the drone footage!!! ❤
Air-down and lockers- pretty capable vehicle.
Nice drive-out, as it was.
Great stuff.
This is literally the most wholesome show online. Love your content and super excited youre getting sponsors!
The honk and hat falling off was just perfect. Made me LOL for real.
Watching that grey Jeep helps me appreciate that I have lockers front and rear available at the touch of a button. The drone shots have the best idea of what you had to go through to get out.
"Making the call" is an easy way to get a personal driving lesson from Matt & crew.
No worries we all benefited also! Great job from the crew.
Another fun interesting and cool video. Well done on field camera shots and edit cuts to put together a coherent story for todays recovery. Jamie fits in very well and meets the demands of off road driving doing an awesome job controlling the Banana threw some gnarly slick rock and sand. Matt is a cool and proficient leader that has the ability to empower others. Matt getting the stock Jeep out of the rocks shows his great skills in picking lines and using what he's got to get where he needs to go. Thanks you made my morning.
9:45 That drone shot is the first time I've ever gotten any real sense of what the terrain looks like out there. Way gnarlier than I woulda guessed!
Always admired Matt for not saying "like and subscribe". I've watched every video he has posted and the things he advertised were true off-road products. This is a disappointment that he sold out. This is the beginning of the end and it breaks my heart.
Matt, cudos for teaching Jamie with patience. A lesson I need to learn often as a husband as well.
Great job Jaymie. As for cameras in my house, that total strangers could access remotely, personally I'm too old to trust technology. I would feel like I was being watched, even if I wasn't. 😅
I work in security (well, I did) and no way would I allow that. Personally, I recommend any system but Simply Safe, way too many holes.
@@marvindebot3264 Are the wired systems you can purchase at Costco for example better security wise?
You can bet that the FBI and the CIA as well as many foreign governments can access these systems.
@@patbullard9276People can bet on and imagine a lot of things. That doesn’t mean any of them are true since you didn’t offer any proof. That said, it is a possibility to be aware of if you’re doing something illegal.
Personally, I wouldn’t put any cameras inside my house. The security cameras belong in the outside in locations that they can cover all of the access points to the house like doors/windows. And you get extra points for covering covering the driveway and each camera in view of another so they can’t be tampered with without detection.
The last thing to do is make sure your cameras store the video they capture LOCALLY. Don’t depend on some kind of “Cloud” storage because that’s a big security hole and something that is usually a subscription service $$$.
Double bonus points if all your cameras are hard wired with POE Ethernet cable and switches and your POE switch has a UPS battery backup. No WiFi.
I basic wired system from any box store would offer a digitally secure setup. They can even be set to broadcast to a web browser if you need to watch pets or our elderly family members.
Great "commercial"! The scenery there is beyond compare and Jamie has incredible eyes. Great job with the driving, Jamie. Great job with the teaching, Matt. See how high my spirits are right now?
The start of this is so cool.....Max has his head over the back seat grinning like a loon. That's one happy doggy right there.
Obviously Matt is a skilled driver, duh. But this vid really impressed me with the relatively stock Jeep! No lockers, hard tires. Whatever magic traction control Jeep created seem to work! Pretty rare to see.

I love that you showed them what their stock Wrangler is capable of. I was impressed with mine the first time I went wheeling and the only thing I had changed was my tires. Stock tires to a set of 33" Cooper Evolution
Matt & my Dad are a lot alike. They can take a stock vehicle and show us all what it can really do. Great job Matt! And Jamie as well.Jamie is a lot better off road driver than she thinks. I'm glad the customers knew there limits and stayed safe.

As a guy living in a part of the country that is flat as a table top and all mud everywhere.
Lockers are a must with serious mud tires.
Watching rigs with all terrain tires handle rock crawling and sand in endlessly fascinating.
Love watching you guys we started running 37" Patagonia'sdisappoint.. many times through 2 feet or more of snow over a mountain pass they never disappoint keep the videos coming Thank you
I agree. The cucumber Gatorade is the best flavor ever!
HEY! Good morning and thumbs UP to Matt and crew! We'll get em out! 👊👊👍
Matt is correct. The JK/JL have electronic brake distribution which applies brake to each spinning wheel. It doesn't cut power like on most vehicles. It will, however, cause you to lose momentum in the default mode if you don't compensate with throttle. You can get it to behave more like a limited slip (better for sand) by holding in the ESP button until you hear the ding. Pressing it a second time will turn it off. Jeep knows how to build traction control that actually works off roading.
Impressive what a stock wrangler can do. I think too many people go for the big tires and lift before realizing these rigs are sufficiently capable out of the box for moderate off roading.
"I just said that to make you nervous. You're not gonna roll....and if you do, gas out of it!"
-Classic Matt

it really is amazing to see what an experienced off roader can accomplish in a stock Wrangler!...great job getting it off that trail.
YAY Jaymie for the win!!

Awesome !!!
This is just a testament to Matt's driving ability and knowledge.
Some fine driving there, Matt. Had you aired down I think you could have done that with your eyes closed. A real master class, sir!
Gotta be honest, with as much as they were scraping the belly on that thing I think if they aired down anymore they would have been high centered all day. Lol
I think he's mentioned before that they won't air down customer vehicles just in case something happens, it pops off the bead, someone forgets to air back up etc, if the customer already did it they'll drive as-is but they only do it on their own rigs because 1. they check and keep it within limits they know are safe and B. these are work vehicles and a little damage here or there isn't too bad.
Awesome to see my favorite Jamie driving the trail like a pro 🤘🎃
Amazed what that stock Jeep could do with Matt behind the wheel. Though also fun to see the Banana effortlessly chew up the same terrain.
