It’s called a heater hose and definitely don’t bypass that blender valve. Just buy and upgraded aluminum one. It’s very cheap fix but this is the cheapest was to fix it, and it’s going to fail again except next time you have bleeder port for it. Just spend the $30 and buy the aluminum bleeder port.
If you’re going to flush the coolant then why not. If you’re not changing the coolant or the hoses you can get away with clamping off the hoses and just swapping the coupler.
@Dub-ry4cs would I just need to install the coupler right away? I got one that has the bleeder port so I'm thinking I can leave it open and let the car run idle for a bit...
@@NateandSelena🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣bro aint no way I bought the clamps for 10, the connector for 26(its a metal one not plastic? And the clamp pliers for 10 and this looks lik a 20 minute job at most. Oh yea and the coolant for 20 bucks. 50 total and 20 minutes.
The car isn’t in its best condition and looks like it was driven hard so I would check these few things: -coolant bypass adapter -Head gasket -Gallery gasket Also it looks like the owner broke the front bumper braces while installing the intakes. Most of the these parts for this car aren’t expensive so replace them when possible.
Did you open that port so the air will be pushed out when adding coolant? It’s on driver side almost the same place as the heater hose. Air bubbles will cause it to over heat as well
@@chrisbradleysworld4842what port exactly? Because I'm just waiting for my metal connector to come today before doing this and I dont want to mess anything up. Ik to leave th radiator cap open ( or which ever one he's pouring into in the video)
Don't use plastic parts, they will keep breaking. You can buy aftermarket aluminium bleeder ports that will never break off again.
id recommend the DORMAN Help! 3/4in hose replacement. made of aluminum and will last longer

Hey man I did this same fix . I may have pushed some of the damage parts back down the hose will that cause problems ??
Bro prob charged $400 & didn't even change the hoses 😂
Why would he change tho hoses ? That’s not part of this procedure.I guess he could have but why . This is a temporary fix
Biggest problem is he didn't mention burping the system
I just changed on my wifes 2011 fx35 and it still over heating. What could it be bro
dude thank you so much my Z has that leak and I just found out and now I am going to attempt to do it next time I do my maintain
What did you use to take that plastic piece out the hose ?
Vacuum
Just break it up in there with pliers
what did you use
There the part yous looking for it !! Down below 🎉
Dorman - HELP 5/8in x 3/4in plastic heater core connector.. at autozone‼️
Isn't the coolant supposed to be blue?
Only for 2009+ models my 2008 g only takes green
Yes bro it's blue 😅😢
You can put both types. Source: AllData
Can I use the other bleeder port on the other side? (Driver side)
What’s the name of that thing you used to put into the hose ?
^
Whats the size of the hose
Inner pipe part number?
did you ever get it
Should I drain my coolant before doing this fix correct ?

@@Dub-ry4cswhat is the coupler exactly ? Do you mean the connector?
@@gsteel98 it’s the plastic piece that connects the two hoses together.
@@Dub-ry4cs okay so we're just calling it another name so coupler and connector the same

How much would a shop charge for this?
Parts an labor prolly $400-500 easily
@@Joshj-hx6zdI had a shop tell me 5 grand 🙃😂

Where can I find the parts I have the same issue
Someone link me the part or some shit can’t find this to save my life
Bro how the fuck did yall take off the bottom clamp I can’t take it off to save my life
I’m guessing you got it off by now but for anyone else, use some long 90 degree pliers for easy access
I did exactly this but my car keeps overheating and there is no leaks
Hey did you try bleeding out the cooling system?

I just changed my hoses I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.. 😂
Bru they told me the labor is $900 for replacing the coolant by pass hose
Use a metal bleeder instead....bleed the air first.
thank you bro
What’s this piece called is a heater hose or coolant hose also why didn’t they tell me I needed this piece
G37 take blue, g35 is green
