I've been a gym user for years and I'm pretty used to lifting heavy weights and, after I discovered your channel, I decided to give Total Gym a try and I have to say that this workout routine is insane. I wasn't even able to get to the amount of reps you suggest in many exercises. I 100% recommend getting a Total Gym, most complete workout machine money can get!
Hi Mike! After I finished my total gym workout today I saw you had a new video. As I was sitting in my recliner sipping a post workout shake watching your latest video on my TV, my wife entered the room and said "you just did a total gym workout and now your watching a guy workout on a total gym? Seriously?" I replied "uh Yah!" Like she was crazy. We both had a good laugh. Thanks for the great content and all your hard work!
These follow along workouts are incredibly helpful! Gives me the road map I desperately need. Don't know how I missed this one. Please keep them coming. Thank you Mike!
I'm 65 years old, and I need some rest, but it's great to watch you work out, it motivates me to do better. I had my current Total Gym since 2002. I ordered a new Encompass last week.
Plan on getting this xls model on the next nov Black Friday 2023 it’s currently £899 uk. So hopefully next year it Myt just be a bit cheaper. Currently got a gym form sliding bench which I’m loving the workouts but found my glide board is coming off the metal it’s glued to after only a month of use . I’m attaching bands to it which is awesome. But definitely gets me excited for the xls model nx year hopefully
I've been using total gym for 23 years, but I never perform circuit workouts. I choose exercise and a giant ascending, descending sets with no rest. For cardio, I put pounds on the bar and extending cables. I perform a hacksquat and with the arms.... pullovers and full iron crosses for 15 minutes and 15 minutes on the total cycle.
This and the twenty minute workout are two really good clips. It seems that you jump right in without a warmup. Do you think warming up is unnecessary?
I have a video on warming up here th-cam.com/video/p_tvzhD_q7k/w-d-xo.html but I'd say overall it's really dependent on the individual and how you're feeling that. But in general personally, I don't really feel the need to do a true warm up.
@@hybridresistance ok thanks. I typically do just a few minutes with the bench at a low level and start out with light weights using dumbbells as well. It’s interesting to see how people’s routines vary. I also like to see how you get into the flow of the great variety of exercises that can be done on the sliding benches. Nice work!
I appreciate that. To be fair I wasn't recording all that much and did a lot of different modes of training and changes in bodyweight from 225 bodybuilding down to 180s running / calisthenics. Much of the physique changes really depends on the style of training. I was much stronger pre-pandemic, because I was doing more strength lifting versus bodybuilding. I would say my physique now is similar to when I was doing bodybuilding in the gym. But now you're giving me a good idea for a video!

Whatever sliding bench you got is always better than not having one. Great to hear you’re getting use and results from it.
Mike , as always great videos, in the future is it possible to add each exercise slide at the bottom of description page.

Love hearing that plan. Thank you!

you have some pre pandemic videos before you were using TG almost exclusively. If anything your physique has improved while you've gotten older!

Well I got 30 minutes in and that took me 45 minutes. Ill keep at it till I can do the whole thing.
Great to hear. The videos aren't going anywhere, let me know when you do it.
