A few interesting oddities for you: Blind, the boss of Thieves Town, has loads of HP, but the HP doesn't matter, because the fight is 100% scripted. Blind drops to the ground and detaches his head after being hit 3 times and then again at 6 times, and dies after being hit 9 times. It doesn't matter how much damage each hit does to him, so long as it does damage. Blind takes damage from any sword, the hammer, and the canes of Somaria and Byrna. During the Ganon fight, if one lights the left torch before the right torch ever goes out, the right torch will never go out. Additionally, the Silver arrows are not required to defeat him at all (though they do speed things up a LOT); after Ganon is stunned, the split second after he recovers, he can be legit damaged by a sword attack. The timing on this strike is very narrow, but can be made trivial by charging up and releasing a spin attack just as Ganon is about to recover from being stunned. It's possible to beat Link to the Past in under 15 minutes by walking through walls. To do so. after speaking with your uncle, go inside the castle and climb up the stairs in the foyer. Jump off the ledge, but save with Select before you land on the ground. If done correctly, this will confuse the game as to which layer you're on. You can then climb back upstairs, get damaged by a guard to glitch under the upper layer, and then simply walk to the Triforce room to win. Throwing rupees into the Fountain of Happiness results in getting a weird message that tells you what kind of luck you will have today. This actually has an influence on the game: if you get "big trouble," the next ten enemies will not drop anything at all, whereas if you get "great luck," the next ten enemies are forced to drop something for you.
I didn't know about the existence of the catfish or about taking the fish to the village. I'm glad that even after all this time, I'm still learning things about this game.
It is cool although isn’t necessary nor is it very helpful in this game in my opinion. I think they should have added a couple of scenarios where it was necessary
@@enragedgecko the problem is having the space and the time to load the sword up, as it doesn’t happen that quickly. In a links awakening you literally have to use spin attack on one of the bosses though to hurt it, they should have done this in this one too

Here's some trivia The game has a fully-working 1/4 magic meter upgrade, but it's never unlocked in the game. Also, it's possible to use the knockback from the Pegasus Boots to jump some of the hookshot gaps, like in the first room of Misery Mire.

A few things I know: In the Japanese manual the Master sword was forged to prevent an ancient evil from kidnapping the Triforce by divine command while in the American manual it was translated as "the Master sword was forged as an answer to Ganondorf obtaining the Triforce", the Japanese manual is more consistent with the later Master sword Lore in the series where the one that commanded the creation of the Master sword turned out to be Hylia while the ancient evil was the demon king known as the person/one/avatar of demise, TP established the ancient sages' role in the creation of the Master sword and while SS doesn't have the sages appear as part of the Master sword story their symbols appear on the island of Hylia and Sealed temple/temple of Hylia. We also learn that the sages and the knights of Hyrule didn't have enough time to find the Master sword or a hero due to Ganondorf's approaching miasma. The manual establishes that the human inhabitants of Hyrule are called Hyruleans but their ancestors who had a close connection to the gods and used magic were called Hylians because the blood of Hylians have faded over time. The pointy ears of Hylians symbolizes a connection to the gods. TP's Japanese text later showed that the Oocca are the ancestors of the Hylians(originally human in appearance) and creators of Hyrule kingdom(left the kingdom and their artifacts in the hands of their descendants when they decided to settle on their new sky city, in SS the name Hylian doesn't appear because the culture hadn't been born yet) and closer to the gods than the Hylians were. The Zonai are similar and likely also closer to the gods than the Hylians are. In Japanese the word used for wise men can also be translated to wise ones and sages. Ganondorf calls Agahnim his Bunshin in Japanese. The word has been used to describe Meg the poe sister's copies in OOT, Ciela in PH who is a bunshin of Oshus the ocean king and the Blight Ganons in BOTW who are bunshins of Calamity Ganon who is in turn a bunshin of TOTK’s Ganondorf, a manifestation/incarnation of his emotions and desires. Bunshin means split soul/part of oneself/other self/offshoot/copy/clone/alter-ego. In the battle with Agahnim at Hyrule castle when the priest of darkness is defeated a spirit of Ganondorf rises from his body. In Ancient stone tablets Agahnim is explained to have been someone who got possessed by a part of Ganondorf's soul, Ancient stone tablets takes place six years after ALTTP and Ganondorf's being in that game is sustained by his miasma/malice/evil energy after his body was sealed away, this likely means that a part of Ganondorf's soul left entered Hyrule alongside his miasma before the events of ALTTP. ALTTP and LA's Japanese manuals are the only times in the series where the word for Ganondorf's main title isn't Maō(king of evil or demon king), instead a word that translates to king of evil but not demon king is used. ALTTP is the first time the name of the demon tribe appears, during the encounter at Hyrule castle Agahnim says "so in the end even the legendary "hero" is no match for us of the demon tribe who hold the golden power". In the American localization tribe of evil/evil tribe is used instead of demon tribe. The demon tribe's name would later appear in TWW where Ganondorf says that his demon tribe and demon magic was sealed by the Master sword, the name appeared again in Skyward sword where Ghirahim and Demise's titles are chieftain of the demon tribe and Fi says that certain demons like the dark enemies(or blue bubbles in some games) can unleash the hatred/curse of the demon tribe, Demise also uses the name of the curse of the demon tribe which in the context of his speech is a descriptive curse that already exists(Three Buddhist poisons, a single lifeform, God, spirit or demon's eternal attachment to Saṃsāra, Saṃsāra itself, evil always existing in the world no matter what happens, no matter how many times it is overcome, the state of demons) and not a prescriptive curse. Demise was explaining the reality of the situation, every evil in the world is represents the curse of the demon tribe and anyone who has the same amount of malice in their heart as Demise had can become a demon king like him if they so desire. The name of the demon tribe has recently appeared in BOTW and TOTK. In some of these games the name of the demon tribe was removed by the American localization. ALTTP is the game that establishes that Ganondorf's demon beast form is a mirror reflection of his heart, soul and character just like how Link’s bunny form is a mirror reflection of the hero's pure heart or how other characters in the dark world were transformed into mirror reflections of their hearts. And because Ganondorf's original human form and full name was first established in ALTTP the name Ganon was established to be his nickname and the common name that is used to refer to him and his bunshins, realms and headquarters etc. ALTTP established Ganondorf's demon magic, his miasma entered Hyrule and caused disasters and made some people fall ill, this concept was reused in TOTK where a woman in Kakariko has fallen ill because of Ganondorf's miasma. ALTTP is the first time a demon villain in the series is associated with a great calamity. The one of demise is associated with a great calamity by Fi's prophecy in SS, other demon villains have caused disasters that can be described as calamities. The name of the seal war/imprisoning war can be used to describe similar events where a war lead to a seal upon a demon king like the war against the person of demise in SS's backstory or the war against Ganondorf in TWW's backstory for example. Other games like OOT have a conflict that can better be described as a seal/imprisoning battle. In ALTTP's manual Ganondorf slaughtered his own followers to get the Triforce for himself, Ganondorf also was balanced enough to obtain the entire Triforce without causing it to split apart. In the backstory Ganondorf couldn't figure out how to leave the Sacred realm because he stumbled upon it by accident. In the GBA version of ALTTP it is established that every Link is born from the knight's family/knight's clan, the two lumberjacks who live near the lost woods also know a sword technique meaning they too are members of the knight's family. Death mountain's name is a bit confusing in the Japanese version of ALTTP. In the light world it's called Hebra mountain while in the dark world it's called Death mountain. ALTTP touched showed the ultimate goals of the demon kings: Turn a world into a world of darkness/world of demons resembling the original demon world/hell and rule over it. Later games showed why villains like Ganondorf wants this:war, violence, greed, survival of the fittest, might makes right and no peace or harmony meaning less weaklings in the world in his eyes. ALTTP was the game that introduced eye symbols but the eye symbol in ALTTP represents the demon tribe, some fans have called it the evil eye/the unblinking eye of malice/the demon tribe eye. This eye symbol appears on Agahnim's robe and outside Hyrule castle's tower(if I'm not wrong it also appear outside Agahnim's boss arenas). This eye symbol has made appearances in later games in the series:The palace of twilight's throne, a variation in Ganondorf's tower(TWW), temple of the ocean king(PH), Some of Cole's traps in ST, a variation on Veran's clothes(OOA), Vaati's demon god/devil forms is basically a physical version of the eye symbol, in AOC Astor has the eye symbol on his circlet and Sooga has it on his swords, some villains, enemies and bosses like Majora/Majora's mask temple bosses(3DS), Ganondorf in OOT, BOTW and TOTK(plus bosses in TOTK) have eyes that are the type of eyes the eye symbol represents. The Sheikah eye(which represents truth and knowledge) in BOTW is used in Kakariko village to ward off evil. Moldorm and big Moldorm aren't called Moldorm in Japanese but are instead called Tail and Big tail(there are a few different tail enemies in the series like the sky tail in SS), this is the reason why tail cave in LA has it's name. Swamola is an enemy in the dark world which in Japanese is called Moldorm, this enemy resembles Twinmold in MM. Ancient stone tablets is a less known sequel to ALTTP that was developed for the Satellaview, episodes of the game were broadcast in Japan a few times during 1997 and 1998 so not many people got to play it but some fans have managed to translate the game and make it playable in the west. Ancient stone tablets features a playable character who isn't Link, this character is an avatar that represent the player more than Link. If magic powder is sprinkled on one of the Cukemen they will tell the player that Link can't leave the dream(a reference to Link’s awakening which according to AST takes place around the same time, six years after ALTTP). AST was included in a movie chronicling every mainline game from Zelda 1 to The wind waker. AST has a bit of lore that can explain a few things in the oracle games and ALBW and while the Zelda team hasn't talked about it for years there is no reason for why it can't be considered a canon prequel to ALBW and a sequel to ALTTP. The final word on the timeline has after all been left to the player's imagination and not every part of the timeline is set in stone (like some of the official timeline's placements that aren't suggested by the games or contradicts the games), both the Zelda devs and the writers of HH and HE have tried to emphasize that the official timeline is not the be all end all of Zelda canon and don't want people to only use it. What the games say is more important but there are some stuff from the books and the official timeline that can be used for a timeline theory. It's just that they aren't gospel, only interpretations that could possibly or possibly not be correct so there are always things that can be questioned.
Extra bit about the titles of Ganondorf: Ganondorf is called a demon king and a demon king of darkness in ALTTP, in FSA he is called a king of darkness and calls himself a demon king of darkness but because he was operating from the shadows most characters use a generic Japanese male pronoun to describe him, in the Oracles he is both called demon king of darkness and a Daimaō(Great demon king or Great king of evil, a title that is also used for Ganondorf's OOT/TWW/TP/PH iteration, in TWW he is called the emperor of hell/the demon world while PH's prologue calls him Great demon king, in TP demon thief is used to describe Ganondorf before he became a Great demon king because of his use of dark magic/demon magic), in ALBW Great demon king is used as Ganondorf's title while in the backstory he's called a notorious thief.
I'm surprised that your channel has only over 4,000 subscribers because this is so professionally done and so well made. I've subscribed after watching this video. Really awesome video! The only one I definitely do about was at the Chris houlihan room required the game not recognizing or Link is to send him there. I love that they make references to so many things in this and so much folklore
I'm surprised many of these videos about LttP with the emphasis on facts you may not know are usually things found in Nintendo Power or other magazine articles. And not some more obscure things such as tricks like 'Fake Flippers' where if you jump into the water without flippers and immediately swim forward to a screen transition you can continue swimming. This allows you to get the bottle from the hobo before getting flippers. And can only be done on the Japanese version of the game (as it was patched out of the English one). Also if you are in the Dark World without the Moon Pearl and enter a building on the frame you get struck by an enemy or use the mirror (but enter the building before the mirror transports you) you will be able to use your sword, items, and open chests, which you can't normally do as a bunny. Can also dash with the hammer (other items work too) by pressing Y + A at the same time. This lets you hammer the stake puzzle really quickly by simply dashing through rows and they get knocked down as Link runs through them. This one also requires the Japanese version. Quite a few other things like this, but these are the ones I can reliably do myself.
A combination of different dimensions and different party members could have led to some insanely complex puzzles. Something like the light/dark worlds switch for the 2nd crystal, times 10, just to start dungeons. Getting to turtle rock would have taken hours on its own haha
One little known fact I never saw pop up in videos like this is about the map that came with the game. It has the light world on one side and the first 3 dungeons on the other side. On the Desert Palace map, they included the key that is on a fire pillar that you need to run into. The maps are hand drawn versions so it's cool that they even did the little key. The reason I know this is because I got stuck on that dungeon and had a friend point me on the map where the key is and we both saw that it's drawn on there too.
A well done video. I have the official Nintendo's Players Guide for this game, and I had no idea about the Cucco woman. The connection to the catfish mythology was news to me, too.
The catfish in the legend is responsible for earthquakes plaguing the area, which is why the Catfish in game gives you the Quake Medallion. (There's another reference to the same legend in Lufia II. An early town is having earthquakes that are caused by a monster catfish.)
Great video but there is one small thing. While ALTTP was the first game to introduce heart pieces, heart containers were introduced in the 1st game, which you would get one for every boss you defeated (like in ALTTP) and there were also 5 you could find in the overworld. There were also some you could find in Adventure of Link to increase your health meter.
It would be so cool to play this in hundred years knowing how old it is and realising just how much fun it still is. I think it will stand this test of time. Shame it wasn’t the very first one though, people might be more likely to look back at the very first out of interest. Far into the future. Die hard fans hopefully will still discover ALTTP though
@@triforcetimes You said it's the first game to have heart pieces AND heart containers in the same sentence. I was looking to see if anyone else made this comment. I would also argue that the first game had themed dungeons. There were some things I didn't know, though, so for the most part, very nice video. Thanks!
5:35 Yeah, Nintendo liked doing this sort of thing, at least back then. Mario and Link being in each others games, in one way or another. Mario portrait here, Yoshi in Links Awakening, Link in Super Mario RPG, among others. Oh, and the one white enemy that tries to suck you to it, a reference to Kirby.
I don't know if it was mentioned in the comment section but you missed a musical first. Agahnim's theme, "priest of the dark order" and Ganon's theme "Ganon's message" is the first time Ganondorf's theme is introduced.
Wondered if you were going to bring up that you can stun Zoras and pick them up/throw them in Zora's River. I know that still catches people off-guard.
Breath of the wild took key scores from link to the past. Mainly the text box music before the fight with Ganondorf being used for Hyrule Castle Outside. The piano riff is insanely great.
N64 Majoras mask only has 4 dungeons. It makes ocarina of time looking similar to a link to the past knowing you have more dungeons in ocarina of time than majors mask.
The Master Sword was first named here, the truth is this is the same sword from the first and second game based on the mechanics. In this game they just make you work for it than starting with it from the beginning and also giving it a back story. Only the Master Sword allows Link to shoot energy when he is at full health.
@@triforcetimes stuff is always excellently explained, your voice has such an ethos that I always assume you are a professional radio host by day and moonlight as a Zelda-tuber.

You immediately have my respect for calling it the "Snez" and not the "Ess Enn Ee Ess" 😂 too many British TH-camrs call it the latter and they're just showing their youth.
I always called it the "Ess En Ee Ess" as a kid, just as I always called the first one the "En Ee Ess" (or just "Nintendo" and "Super Nintendo"). Admittedly, I'm not British, but I am 42.
This was my first zelda, the number of dungeons really causes disappointment in the newer releases. BOTW and TOTK seem like together they would've been a singular game. TOTK is probably the best release in the series since WW though.
If only the characters in-game look as good as how they did in the artwork. Also, another fun fact: Robin Williams, Will Smith, Jack Black and Rosario Dawson are Zelda 3 fans.
You should’ve shown the Fish 🎣 to Bottle 🫙 Merchant in Kakriko village screenshot as well!! (Or Made the long trip yourself!) ..As You get 5 items, 21 Rupees (20+1 red/green) & a Full Magic Vial 🧪 as well as the Bomb 💣 & Arrow 🏹 drops!! Still great commentary , watch Andy L for Zelda Lttp Randomizer videos with the community to learn really cool stuff you & others may have missed , yet mostly for speed running & entertainment fun :)
You can also sell a Gold Bee to the same merchant (though it likes to go after the Weathervane if you haven't activated the flute, so release the bee while standing further to the left and recapture it if it goes after the statue) and he'll drop 5x Red Rupees. Since you can always go back to the Ice Rod Cave right side for another Gold Bee, you can farm money that way. Especially with the flute, since spot 8 will drop you off right in that corner of the map and spot 3 takes you back to town.
Wait, I'm confused I remember you did this video before, I thought the next one would be The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening, Facts such as how a lot of Mario characters appear in that game, first appearance of a talking owl, in the original everytime Link bumped into certain rocks dialogue appeared , until the remake which got rid of the annoying text. Marin playing the crane game was a good one.
The only thing I think you missed is the house in the very southwest of Kakariko Village. If you bomb it in the middle it opens up. You can used it repeatedly the whole game to get bombs and arrows. Also I still believe A Link to the Past is the best because it was way ahead of it's time when it was made.
You can't find the master sword really early and at the same time fight Agahnim really late since the fight comes right after getting the sword :p This whole video feels AI generated. The Leg-end of Zelda? You can find Mario in Kakariko (not just in a portrait)? Hmmmmm
"legend of zelda really got in to its stride in the transition from nes to snes" dude this is the whole stride. no transition from one to the other- there were two nes games, one snes game, that's it lmao
How could you mention the origin of many pieces of amazing music and not mention the Kakariko village theme. This was the first game with Kakariko village and still has the best version of it's musical theme.

We can thank Zelda 2 for this. Because part 2 was such a let down and looked at like a complete pos by Nintendo, they swung the pendulum back in the opposite direction and way over compensated by making this masterpiece. So thanks, Zelda 2.

I hate when people say "Nez" and "Snez." They are acronyms. They are not meant to be spoken phonetically. Do you pronounce NHS like that? No....then shut up.
Also, i know you use the letter S in the words that we use Z in, but in this case, the S stands for SYSTEM. So there is no reason it would be pronounced like a Z. Doubly wrong.

Blind drops to the ground and detaches his head after being hit 3 times and then again at 6 times, and dies after being hit 9 times.
Throwing rupees into the Fountain of Happiness results in getting a weird message that tells you what kind of luck you will have today. Same here, with a big green seagull shit for hair. I only realized his real look once I got my son his switch last Christmas and I was playing it one night. I had to stop playing and have a drink lol.
@@hoobaguy And the big green bug eyes. The 2 big white circles and the red jewel on the crown are to me the elements most responsible for the top of the head looking like a face.
He always looked like a Fraggle to me.
I thought he had green hair covering his eyes with the tiara being a jaw and little red o mouth. The two actual eyes were lines for his neck
Wow! I didn't know you could save the fish. 🐟
thanks for checking it out good sir
One of the most iconic games of all time, and a monument to my childhood. In 50 years when I can't remember my family's name or where I'm at, I will be able to hum the dark world theme.
love this take, same!
Wow. This is the first game to feature the Master Sword?
Fuck me sideways. Thanks for the obscure trivia
first one to name it the master sword yeah, even though Link had a sword in the first two NES zeldas
A few things I know:
In the Japanese manual the Master sword was forged to prevent an ancient evil from kidnapping the Triforce by divine command while in the American manual it was translated as "the Master sword was forged as an answer to Ganondorf obtaining the Triforce", the Japanese manual is more consistent with the later Master sword Lore in the series where the one that commanded the creation of the Master sword turned out to be Hylia while the ancient evil was the demon king known as the person/one/avatar of demise, TP established the ancient sages' role in the creation of the Master sword and while SS doesn't have the sages appear as part of the Master sword story their symbols appear on the island of Hylia and Sealed temple/temple of Hylia.
It's just that they aren't gospel, only interpretations that could possibly or possibly not be correct so there are always things that can be questioned.
this is epic, thank you for this
Extra bit about the titles of Ganondorf: Ganondorf is called a demon king and a demon king of darkness in ALTTP, in FSA he is called a king of darkness and calls himself a demon king of darkness but because he was operating from the shadows most characters use a generic Japanese male pronoun to describe him, in the Oracles he is both called demon king of darkness and a Daimaō(Great demon king or Great king of evil, a title that is also used for Ganondorf's OOT/TWW/TP/PH iteration, in TWW he is called the emperor of hell/the demon world while PH's prologue calls him Great demon king, in TP demon thief is used to describe Ganondorf before he became a Great demon king because of his use of dark magic/demon magic), in ALBW Great demon king is used as Ganondorf's title while in the backstory he's called a notorious thief.
Ffs I ain't reading all that.
Welcome aboard!
Yeah great 👍
It wasn’t until last year I finally collected all the heart pieces. I’ve owned this game since release haha
ah nice, that's a tough quest
A combination of different dimensions and different party members could have led to some insanely complex puzzles. Something like the light/dark worlds switch for the 2nd crystal, times 10, just to start dungeons. Getting to turtle rock would have taken hours on its own haha
It would have been interesting. Party mechanics make it sound like final fantasy
between the accent and zelda, i liked and subbed within in 10 secs. Keep it up!
Thank you
Using the bug net against Aghanim, that is how i used to kill him when i was younger
very skillful!
Me too haha
Agahnim: Grrr! Me no bug! Me priest Agahnim! Yowza!
Love this fact
A well done video. I have the official Nintendo's Players Guide for this game, and I had no idea about the Cucco woman. The connection to the catfish mythology was news to me, too.
Thanks for watching
This has been one of my favorite games since it was released, and I had no idea about the Cucco Woman!
This was the first video game i ever played. My grandpa had it
This comment made me feel older than I have ever felt in my life.
@@MikeEPerez I don't know why, I'm 37 and my grandpa just liked video games. I first played this when I was about 4
Great memories. I first played Zelda 2 as a kid with my Dad.
The best Zelda game in my opinion. In 100 years, LttP will still be great, but BotW/TotK will be well surpassed in a technological aspect.
same I love this one
It would be so cool to play this in hundred years knowing how old it is and realising just how much fun it still is. I think it will stand this test of time. Shame it wasn’t the very first one though, people might be more likely to look back at the very first out of interest. Far into the future. Die hard fans hopefully will still discover ALTTP though
Heart containers were in both the first and second Zelda games.
I meant pieces of heart, rather than containers
This guy is an idiot for not fact checking
This guy is an idiot for not fact-checking. The first Zelda game I beat was Zelda: The Adventure of Link.
Oh, and the one white enemy that tries to suck you to it, a reference to Kirby.
for sure
I don't know if it was mentioned in the comment section but you missed a musical first. Agahnim's theme, "priest of the dark order" and Ganon's theme "Ganon's message" is the first time Ganondorf's theme is introduced.
ah that's a good one, thank you
Wondered if you were going to bring up that you can stun Zoras and pick them up/throw them in Zora's River. I know that still catches people off-guard.
Ah missed that one
Breath of the wild took key scores from link to the past. Mainly the text box music before the fight with Ganondorf being used for Hyrule Castle Outside. The piano riff is insanely great.
Love this fact, thanks!
N64 Majoras mask only has 4 dungeons. It makes ocarina of time looking similar to a link to the past knowing you have more dungeons in ocarina of time than majors mask.
thats true
Do the full hearts you got in the first game not count as heart containers?
I was thinking of the heart pieces
The Master Sword was first named here, the truth is this is the same sword from the first and second game based on the mechanics. In this game they just make you work for it than starting with it from the beginning and also giving it a back story. Only the Master Sword allows Link to shoot energy when he is at full health.
it was named in the booklet of the original, or some published material.
Sure, but this is where they first name it the master sword
Thanbks for making this but wish the video references were better.- showing what you are talking about
thanks for watching, noted for the future
@@triforcetimes stuff is always excellently explained, your voice has such an ethos that I always assume you are a professional radio host by day and moonlight as a Zelda-tuber.
It makes a lot of sense to be named "Triforce of the Gods" since there's a heavy focus on the "Golden Power"
That is true
Would have liked to see video footage of the facts you've mentioned. Like fighting with the bug net for example or the master sword not being there.
unfortunately that wasn't possible this time
@7:23 Ocarina Of Time technically had 13 dungeons if you count the extras...
Deku Tree
Dodongo Cavern
Jabu Jabu
Inside The Well
Ice Cavern
Gerudo Fortress
Gerudo Training Ground
Forest Temple
Fire Temple
Water Temple
Shadow Temple
Spirit Temple
Ganon's Castle

I never knew about the cucco lady or that you could do anything with those fish. I remember my old game guide telling me i HAD to use the Bug Catching New against Agahnim though, always thought that was werid.
glad you found out something new and interesting :D
For Agahnims Bug net thing: I thought this was how you should fight him? I honestly never fought him any other way and didn't even know you can use the sword
I think the bug net is mainly for catching hugs, rather than fighting evil wizards
I don't care what anyone says, A Link Between Worlds is a sequel (right after the GameBoys) to this SNES Classic!
I think thats widely accepted as fact, do people say otherwise?
@triforcetimes yeah I never heard anyone say otherwise.
I think in Japan it is actually named as a sequel
It’s both a sequel and a fantastic tribute!
It mentions the events of Link to the Past in the game, so it is a sequel.
Did you know that the good bee, when released, flies to the exact spot you can dig the flute?
thats very cool, I didnt know that
Gotta test this next play thru thanks
One of my favorite ones (with Wind Waker and BOTW)
Oh same
Man, the amount of times I've heard Chris Houlihan's name, and yet I still don't even know if he was a real person
the myth, the legend
He is a real fan who won a Nintendo Power contest
3:22 Pretty sure this idea got recycled into what we now know as Secret of Mana.
I never played secret of mana. Looking forward to visions of mana this year though
That would be pretty weird considering Secret of Mana is from a completely different developper.
Ocarina of time talks about Link's mother during the cutscene after forest temple. I think thats the only other time his family is mentioned outside the three you talked about.
thank you this is a good one
4:42 Cuccoos aren’t a staple. They’re protein. 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️😂😂
very good
the last Zelda game i ever played, still my favorite of all time on the S.N.E.S.
It still holds up today
Haha, selling a sentient talking fish to the jar guy implies that he eats it
maybe he took good care of it and let it free in his pond?
@@triforcetimes we'll never know if that was actually water! It was squiggly checkerboard and all other water in the game was blue!

it wouldn't be a list without this one
I beat the wizard w the buf net as a kid, didnt know you wernt supposed to tillyears later
Very cool
Link to the past is the first one i beat fully. I beat the originals, but i didnt get many secrets or nothing. This game was different. Link between worlds to me is LttP 2. I was 36 when it came out, and i felt like a 13 year old again.
Dunno why i am saying this, but here ya go lol
that's what video games can do, transport you back to another time and place
6:30 Yeah.. I'll be honest, I didn't know about this one until just recently.
oh good!
Got a good ways in thinking there wou don’t be anything I don’t know. Turned out there were some very interesting development and regional facts. Now if only someone could crack the secret of what Link’s uncle was saying to him about Zelda. Lol

You immediately have my respect for calling it the "Snez" and not the "Ess Enn Ee Ess" 😂 too many British TH-camrs call it the latter and they're just showing their youth.
Thanks!
I always called it the "Ess En Ee Ess" as a kid, just as I always called the first one the "En Ee Ess" (or just "Nintendo" and "Super Nintendo"). Admittedly, I'm not British, but I am 42.
@@TyphinHoofbun yeah, for some reason us Brits always called them the "Nezz" and "Snezz"
This was my first zelda, the number of dungeons really causes disappointment in the newer releases. BOTW and TOTK seem like together they would've been a singular game. TOTK is probably the best release in the series since WW though.
A Link To The Past was the one that really grabbed my attention. It's amazing to think how many dunegons it had
7:40 Wrong, Zelda 2 had 4 Heart Containers for you to get. And for that matter, Zelda 1 had them as well.

so true
You should’ve shown the Fish 🎣 to Bottle 🫙 Merchant in Kakriko village screenshot as well!! (Or Made the long trip yourself!)
..As You get 5 items, 21 Rupees (20+1 red/green) & a Full Magic Vial 🧪 as well as the Bomb 💣 & Arrow 🏹 drops!!
Still great commentary , watch Andy L for Zelda Lttp Randomizer videos with the community to learn really cool stuff you & others may have missed , yet mostly for speed running & entertainment fun :)
unfortunately I couldn't show that one - I couldn't find a way to get the fish to respawn:(
You can also sell a Gold Bee to the same merchant (though it likes to go after the Weathervane if you haven't activated the flute, so release the bee while standing further to the left and recapture it if it goes after the statue) and he'll drop 5x Red Rupees.
I removed the previous version and made a few changes

you are right, I forgot that house. Thanks for the add. Yeah, ALTTP is my fav zelda game among many greats

I rented this game once back in 1990s , , lack of detail overhead viewpoint graphics on a new 16-bit machine was unforgivable , ( i was expecting it to possibly look like Golden Axe or Altered Beast not like it was intended for previous 8-bit NES ) on top of that awful shock of dinosaur graphics THEY MADE LINK'S HAIR PINK" and no convincing reason ever given for this 😮😮 , , , so i rented it once and returned it the same afternoon , ,it was huge disappointment , , ,felt like Nintendo scammed me 🎉😂 🤔🤔🤔
oh no way
@@triforcetimes yup 😕 I really believe "Ocarina of time" saved the franchise , , ,
no one EVER called it "nez" or "snez" please stop saying that
Lol no
It wasn’t called that in America, but there is a whole lot more world than that bro.
Literally everyone in the UK uses these terms so get your facts straight before trying to call him out.
@@madams989 sux my ballz
Good video but your pronunciation/accent was a bit tough to listen.
turn on subtitles?
How dare someone have an accent from the place that they are from! What madness is this?
Great video, however i cringed each time you said "snes" as a word instead of how its supposed to be called S.N.E.S or super n.e.s.
Thanks for watching. Where I'm from, everyone says it the way I do, so I won't be changing it
I hate when people say "Nez" and "Snez." They are acronyms. They are not meant to be spoken phonetically. Do you pronounce NHS like that? No....then shut up.
Also, i know you use the letter S in the words that we use Z in, but in this case, the S stands for SYSTEM. So there is no reason it would be pronounced like a Z. Doubly wrong.
this has to be satire
@@triforcetimes Do you mean zatire?
People get mad over the weirdest things lol good lord. It’s pronounced like an acronym here in the states, but overseas they say it as a whole word. It’s not that big of a deal my man lol
Yeah, I mean no one says laser, they all spell the acronym out when they talk. /s
