In humans and other primates, the knee joins the thigh with the leg and consists of two joints: one between the femur and tibia (tibiofemoral joint), and one between the femur and patella (patellofemoral joint). It is the largest joint in the human body. The knee is a modified hinge joint, which permits flexion and extension as well as slight internal and external rotation. The knee is vulnerable to injury and to the development of osteoarthritis.

Same. i used to attend LANs in Europe against a lot of the t1 pros now that play csgo (back in 2010-11 when i was 15). While i dont regret it i do wonder what could have been if i improved alot and became a proper professional gamer.

dude whoever comes to pakistan gets a a similar reception, unfortunately most of the western people haven't been hearing any good about pakistan, i hope it changes cause thats really not true,
@@MannyxD1 you can blame the media for that. Nothing comes out good in the Middle-eastern / eastern part of the world as the media wants to control the narrative.
knee's love for the game is immeasureable. hes doing all these just for the scene to grow. now look what hes done. korea and japan was only the few major countries known harboring monstrous players (besides western regions of course) but he really pushed himself to exploit a region with enormous potential. now, arslan ash along with many uprising pakistani players is making tekken just phenomenal as a game and as a community.
I notice that a lot of the Asian players especially from Korea and Japan would start off playing a bunch of fightng games. One of them being the King of Fighters series and drift away from them to focus on 1 or 2 for tournaments. It's really sad cause KoF is such an underrated series and needs more exposure.
Absolute godlike player from Japan. His win was actually pretty crazy. People did not think Japan had a chance at winning or even doing well during the Tekken world tour finals. People had Korea, Pakistan, and even America doing better than the Japanese. But Japan was red hot out of the gate, because everyone was preparing for each other but not preparing for Japan, and Japan really wanted to prove themselves. Normally you don't think of Japan as underdogs in fighting games, so them doing so well was super hype. It was a sight to see every single Japanese player storm the stage and jump on Chikurin when he won. Just a small note is he's not from Tokyo or Osaka where the vast majority of top players are from. He is from far west Japan so it's been interesting to see the best player in Japan come from there.
@@ihaveskillissue69 wow that is a wonderfully intriguing follow up to this compelling story of Knee. So now i found out that Knee has a youtube channel, and also that i must see the Tekken World Tour finals. Thanks Daniel.
I appreciate the spotlight on Knee, but man as a Korean, these subtitles are confusing as hell. They are completely watering down or telling a completely different story from Knee's comments. Please find a better translator/writer...
The part at 4:49 is an example of how bad it is. The subtitles: In Korea, the expectation is to go to school, get a good job, and get married, but since pursuing Tekken I never fit into those standards. In my 20s, I joined the army and had plans of going to school and getting a job but that didn’t happen. What Knee actually said: 제가 20대 초반에 철권을 제일 잘하고 싶어서 열심히 했었는데 (In my early 20s, I wanted to be very best at Tekken and put all my effort into it) (At the time, I had dropped out of college and became absorbed into just Tekken) (But in Korea.. getting into a good college, getting a good job, getting married.. there are these kinda steps in life and...) (because I had completely separated myself from that [direction in life], couldn't it be said that I had failed, socially speaking.) (So after returning from my military service, I had thoughts about putting down Tekken, studying to get into college, and finding a good workplace from time to time). The subtitles are leaving out a lot of what Knee said, and many times, they don't match up with what he's saying. For example, the Korean societal expectations appears somewhere in the middle of his paragraph, but the subtitles have it smack in the beginning, when he's talking about getting obsessed with Tekken.
He truly is the God of Tekken. After an amazing year in 2019 and 2020 till COVID hit he's regained his position at the top by winning EVO 2022. He's going to go down as the GOAT without a shadow of a doubt.
What I like about knee is his arsenal. Most of the time you see people reaching the final 8 sticking on 1-2 characters (e.g. qudans - DJ, rangchu - panda, eyemusician - yoshi, arslan - zafina, etc.) But knee can adapt depending on his opponents. It's also more entertaining to watch a guy so good in playing multiple characters. He really perfected this game. GOAT together with qudans.
nah man its gone to the point where if someone says "Hey your knee is bleeding" I would most likely think of "THE knee" rather than the actual body part. lmao

They may have now starting to get into since mostly they showcased CSGO,Dota,Lol,OW. Tekken started when Rangchu wins Panda and Arslans Japan takeover.
My Korean isn't great, but some of the translations missed a lot of stuff. Especially when he's talking about not fitting in the standard of getting a job and getting married.
At 4:50 he says, "In school, I tried hard to be good at Tekken since I wanted to be the best. I even quit college to focus on Tekken. In Korea, the steps people usually take are to finish college, start a good career, and get married, but since I didn't think I had any association with that, I thought I had failed. I thought that I should have joined the army to forget about Tekken and continue with a normal life". It's not that far off from the translation in the video.
@@dohyunlee1439 this actually gives a deeper meaning than the translation in the video. it shows how he actually gave up what he enjoyed, to try to fit back in the with standard of what he is "supposed" to be doing.

And apparently, unbeknownst to biologists, it is able to play any Tekken character at pro level at any time

knee's love for the game is immeasureable. hes doing all these just for the scene to grow. now look what hes done. korea and japan was only the few major countries known harboring monstrous players (besides western regions of course) but he really pushed himself to exploit a region with enormous potential. now, arslan ash along with many uprising pakistani players is making tekken just phenomenal as a game and as a community.
Knee and Daigo are the like the fighting game gods. They're legends on their own and inspires everyone to become better.
Knee, Daigo and Go1 in respective game.
Pretty much
I notice that a lot of the Asian players especially from Korea and Japan would start off playing a bunch of fightng games. One of them being the King of Fighters series and drift away from them to focus on 1 or 2 for tournaments. It's really sad cause KoF is such an underrated series and needs more exposure.
KoF would probably do better if it was also only a 1v1 fighter, I think.
I would listen to Dimitri narrate my grandmother's funeral and still be wholly entertained by it.

What I'm truly curious about is... WHO IS CHIKURIN?!

I wonder how Knee's rival, "Elbow", is doing these days...
I appreciate the spotlight on Knee, but man as a Korean, these subtitles are confusing as hell. They are completely watering down or telling a completely different story from Knee's comments. Please find a better translator/writer...
Could you give an example pls?
I had a feeling it was like this because he was making long sentences and they only had like 3 words on the screen
@@philipkarovski281knee was talking in like... 5 sentences and subtitle was only 2 sentences long. Definitely not the right way to transate.
What Knee actually said:
제가 20대 초반에 철권을 제일 잘하고 싶어서 열심히 했었는데 (In my early 20s, I wanted to be very best at Tekken and put all my effort into it)
(At the time, I had dropped out of college and became absorbed into just Tekken)
(But in Korea.. getting into a good college, getting a good job, getting married.. there are these kinda steps in life and...)
(because I had completely separated myself from that [direction in life], couldn't it be said that I had failed, socially speaking.)
(So after returning from my military service, I had thoughts about putting down Tekken, studying to get into college, and finding a good workplace from time to time).
The subtitles are leaving out a lot of what Knee said, and many times, they don't match up with what he's saying. For example, the Korean societal expectations appears somewhere in the middle of his paragraph, but the subtitles have it smack in the beginning, when he's talking about getting obsessed with Tekken.
@@marshmellowjjigae So essentially the subs tell the story without the nuance and spirit.
He truly is the God of Tekken. After an amazing year in 2019 and 2020 till COVID hit he's regained his position at the top by winning EVO 2022. He's going to go down as the GOAT without a shadow of a doubt.
he is still at top level in 2023, crazy

yall did this man justice with the cover/thumbnail. very aesthetically pleasing and well designed, minimalism and all. nicely done.

My Korean isn't great, but some of the translations missed a lot of stuff. Especially when he's talking about not fitting in the standard of getting a job and getting married.
Could you explain what they've missed, if you don't mind? Doesn't have to be word for word, just the gist of it.
