You can test that i guarantee, if you blocked the jumping attack, then try pressing 1 immediately after his jumping attack. Im always being interrupted by those. Losing an akuma momentum. Plus u can sidestep his demonflips it is very effective.

The amount of times I've been hit by DF 4 after a sidestep are immense, not to mention the other options that aren't homing but seem to track almost as well.
Akuma has the greatest move set in fighting games. You can put him in any fighting game and he’ll do well. Dive kicks, mix ups, air projectiles, get off me tools, teleport, the list goes on.
well, yeah. he has a really good moveset; the thing holding back his kit in street fighter is his low health bar, and tekken doesnt have different health bar sizes for each character

She hardly has any Ki/Energy attacks, she is just plain punches and kicks and she is famous for usually having more normal attacks than the rest of the cast, and Tekken characters are famous for having a lot of normal moves and hardly having any Energy based attack.

At the time the Pakistani splashed on the scene and their Akuma made the rest of the tournament world cry like little children he was already nerfed several times. Leroy was just "too good" all around and people acted like matches against him were unwinnable, which they weren't. Nerfs were warranted, but he is so far from being the most broken character in Tekken history, it is ridiculous how people acted out.

2019 was an interesting time for T7. It was the moment where Akuma's potential was finally realized in game. From the beginning when Super Akouma won the first masters event & the epic comeback on Chikurin, to Awais Honey running through everyone in the later half of TWT. And then it all led up to Akuma winning the TWT Finals. Early on in the games console release, a lot of people didn't rate Akuma all that high on the tier list. Even the pro players put him at mid tier. That all changed in 2019.
I still remember before everyone knew how good akuma was, you could use his rage art against with green and orange ranks and they would try to block it since Akuma was never used.
And it makes me so angry because I played Akuma in S1 and S2 and people went from trashing him as a useless lowtier to whining that he was broken in a heartbeat because he has the strongest combos in the game, despite not having much else aside from his dickjab to get them out easily. Switch to Kazuya at the start of S3, and what happens? His hellsweep gets buffed and now everyone says he's broken too. I can't win with this fucking game.

I remember playing Arcade online with Akuma against Leroy Smith in a number of matches (Mind you, Leroy Smith has not been in Tekken a year yet). I don’t know my dude. Akuma is legit the most overpowered character when it comes down to story. I mean you also have Oni Akuma, Destroyer of Heaver. Akuma would slap gods left and right and He has always been top tier. Street Fighter 5 as wel as Tekken 7. I will say Scorpion and Kazuya are great as well, but Compared to Akuma they just fail to match up. I will admit Smash characters are OP as well.

That didn't excuse his release state. Release Akuma was by far the most broken character, more broken than Leroy even with the high execution requirement and mainly so because release Akuma didn't need as much execution as his normal non meter combos could be crazy too (demon flip chaining was a thing). After all of the nerfs I think Akuma is in a much more reasonable state because if you want to do any sort of good damage you need to have good execution and the nerfs to his frame data force him to play a certain way that makes him more predictable.

He was the guest character that was most like a Tekken character and has been pretty balanced overall as he didn't do anything that really broke the rules of Tekken unlike how Akuma, Geese and Noctis did.

I mean, realistically what broke the pro Tekkan scene initially was none of these tournaments implementing a, "Hey, this new character just got released like less than 2 weeks ago. We should ban him since we have no idea what he'll do to the meta game," kind of rule. It's like we live in a reality where no one realized doing massive character changes right before big tournaments is a terrible idea. Do we need Riot games to do another set of 4 or more champ reworks right before their Worlds tournament again?
I agree releasing a character weeks before a major is pretty uncommon and is likely to affect the outcome of results but some could see it as a risk as well, and fg fans tend to put trust in the developers' to understand the competitive season/cycle and release patches accordingly. It's not common at all for them to implement bans because of that I think. In the case of Riot, im of the opinion that they intentionally overbuff/nerf to sell skins and to shift the meta when people are tired of overtuned [insert new character]

I think it's just because of the context of the video. As a Tekken character Negan is actually not bad and is about the only guest character that plays like an actual Tekken character. It just feels weird seeing a character like him in the Tekken world as it does not make sense thematically.
Akuma is my favorite thing in Tekken 7 save for 90% of the Mishima saga. Not because he is powerful, but because of his personality, role, and the potential he has in the right hands. I already learned how to perform an actual combo with him and managed to familiarize myself with his movement-based inputs such as his spin-kick and learned that it only triggers when you press a kick button AFTER he rises from his crouch position. Still need practice with his shoyuken tho. I can can go on, but that would probably bore you out of your mind.
Namco needs to make Tekken x Street Fighter. They tanslated Akuma so perfectly into Tekken that a street fighter player could pick him up and place 3rd at EVO. I think they meshed the 2 game styles together better than Capcom did with SFxT.
The ultimate end of Akuma's introduction is adding WILDLY different mechanics to Tekken. That allows Bandai to add new characters that can use these mechanics and players will already be familiar.

Akuma is absolutly fine now! I will always prefer getting beat up by a high execution character than some braindead char like the 2 latest additions to the game. In my opinion high execution characters should always be high tier. reward players who put in all the time to learn the difficult stuff.
High execution scaling with advantage sounds intuitively logical but its an easy way to break game balance. The execution barrier is never really an issue for top players, so they would just end up overpowered.

Well Akuma is stronger than most SF and Tekken players because they are mostly human fighters..,.mortal Kombat is a whole different story, sub- zero , scorpion , raiden, and even liu-kang are stronger than Akuma.

Akuma had a hard time fighting Gotestu,gouken,heihachi and kazuya. Hanzo is incredibly fast. Akuma cannot use shungoku Satsu on him as he can teleport. For subzero he just freezes at contact. Not to forget crating swords,hammers and axes of ice instantly. Maybe Gill would have a chance but not Akuma. Having said all of this, if scorpion and subzero dont use hellfire and cryomancing and it's just a hand to hand Kombat then it would be even and can go either way.

2019 was an interesting time for T7. It was the moment where Akuma's potential was finally realized in game. From the beginning when Super Akouma won the first masters event & the epic comeback on Chikurin, to Awais Honey running through everyone in the later half of TWT. And then it all led up to Akuma winning the TWT Finals.
Early on in the games console release, a lot of people didn't rate Akuma all that high on the tier list. Even the pro players put him at mid tier. That all changed in 2019.
Well to be fair the nerfs put him at like mig high tier, but then everyone else got nerfed and he then rose because everyone else dropped
I still remember before everyone knew how good akuma was, you could use his rage art against with green and orange ranks and they would try to block it since Akuma was never used.
And it makes me so angry because I played Akuma in S1 and S2 and people went from trashing him as a useless lowtier to whining that he was broken in a heartbeat because he has the strongest combos in the game, despite not having much else aside from his dickjab to get them out easily. Switch to Kazuya at the start of S3, and what happens? His hellsweep gets buffed and now everyone says he's broken too. I can't win with this fucking game.

Akuma is still very strong in Tekken 7 now, despite the nerfs (I know I'm late commenting here). I remember playing Arcade online with Akuma against Leroy Smith in a number of matches (Mind you, Leroy Smith has not been in Tekken a year yet). And, while playing as Akuma, I still was winning against Leroy Smith with all the nerfs that Akuma got.

The day I saw Tekken announced Akuma, i was like "Tekken itself has ended, you want Akuma in the game you better build him his throne and commit to his existence, he's the god now". Akuma single handedly raise the bar for the whole Tekken franchise. The pro players were forced to step up their game because of this Demon.

I don’t know my dude. Akuma is legit the most overpowered character when it comes down to story. I mean you also have Oni Akuma, Destroyer of Heaver. Akuma would slap gods left and right and He has always been top tier. Street Fighter 5 as wel as Tekken 7. I will say Scorpion and Kazuya are great as well, but Compared to Akuma they just fail to match up. I will admit Smash characters are OP as well.

Akuma has always been one of the best fighters in gaming history. He’s meant to be a powerful character.
That didn't excuse his release state. Release Akuma was by far the most broken character, more broken than Leroy even with the high execution requirement and mainly so because release Akuma didn't need as much execution as his normal non meter combos could be crazy too (demon flip chaining was a thing).
After all of the nerfs I think Akuma is in a much more reasonable state because if you want to do any sort of good damage you need to have good execution and the nerfs to his frame data force him to play a certain way that makes him more predictable.

Blame it on the dev's and their budget. Whether its marketing or lack of testing, the people who made the character are at least halfway aware, and they've done it repeatedly with T7

He was the guest character that was most like a Tekken character and has been pretty balanced overall as he didn't do anything that really broke the rules of Tekken unlike how Akuma, Geese and Noctis did.

I mean, realistically what broke the pro Tekkan scene initially was none of these tournaments implementing a, "Hey, this new character just got released like less than 2 weeks ago. We should ban him since we have no idea what he'll do to the meta game," kind of rule. It's like we live in a reality where no one realized doing massive character changes right before big tournaments is a terrible idea. Do we need Riot games to do another set of 4 or more champ reworks right before their Worlds tournament again?
I agree releasing a character weeks before a major is pretty uncommon and is likely to affect the outcome of results but some could see it as a risk as well, and fg fans tend to put trust in the developers' to understand the competitive season/cycle and release patches accordingly. It's not common at all for them to implement bans because of that I think. In the case of Riot, im of the opinion that they intentionally overbuff/nerf to sell skins and to shift the meta when people are tired of overtuned [insert new character]

I think it's just because of the context of the video. As a Tekken character Negan is actually not bad and is about the only guest character that plays like an actual Tekken character. It just feels weird seeing a character like him in the Tekken world as it does not make sense thematically.

Akuma is my favorite thing in Tekken 7 save for 90% of the Mishima saga. Not because he is powerful, but because of his personality, role, and the potential he has in the right hands. I already learned how to perform an actual combo with him and managed to familiarize myself with his movement-based inputs such as his spin-kick and learned that it only triggers when you press a kick button AFTER he rises from his crouch position. Still need practice with his shoyuken tho. I can can go on, but that would probably bore you out of your mind.
Akuma was always one of the strongest fighting game characters no matter what game he was in there was never a bad Akuma.

Namco needs to make Tekken x Street Fighter. They tanslated Akuma so perfectly into Tekken that a street fighter player could pick him up and place 3rd at EVO. I think they meshed the 2 game styles together better than Capcom did with SFxT.

The ultimate end of Akuma's introduction is adding WILDLY different mechanics to Tekken. That allows Bandai to add new characters that can use these mechanics and players will already be familiar.

Akuma is absolutly fine now! I will always prefer getting beat up by a high execution character than some braindead char like the 2 latest additions to the game. In my opinion high execution characters should always be high tier. reward players who put in all the time to learn the difficult stuff.
High execution scaling with advantage sounds intuitively logical but its an easy way to break game balance. The execution barrier is never really an issue for top players, so they would just end up overpowered.

Anyways, Sorry but Akuma won't have a chance even against Hanzo hasashi let alone scorpion. Akuma had a hard time fighting Gotestu,gouken,heihachi and kazuya. Hanzo is incredibly fast. Akuma cannot use shungoku Satsu on him as he can teleport. For subzero he just freezes at contact. Not to forget crating swords,hammers and axes of ice instantly.
Maybe Gill would have a chance but not Akuma. Having said all of this, if scorpion and subzero dont use hellfire and cryomancing and it's just a hand to hand Kombat then it would be even and can go either way.
