No doubt, Guramatunhu has done very well for himself and also helped his community and society at large. However, I think both Trevor and him have a thing to learn about their 'jokes'. I don't think statements like 'blackman, you must stay above the waist' is a joke, let alone fit for publication on air. That is unacceptable and distasteful in my opinion. It says a lot about our mindset(to use his language) as Zimbabwean men. To reinforce my point, I quote similar comments from other Zimbabwean and African men in recent years and you can make your own judgements:
    1. Nelson Chamisa made a sick 'joke' about asking someone to go and rape so that he could defend the would-be rapist upon his acceptance as a practicing lawyer at the High Court.
    2. ED tried to make this joke at Davos and it did not land well, 'Whenever Britain has a female Prime minister, we get along very well'.
    3. Buhari in Germany alongside Angela Merkel, "I don't know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room."
    4. Chamisa pledged to marry off his 18-year-old sister to Mr Mnangagwa if his rival only won 5% the vote in July 2018.
The above 5 examples(stay above the waist included) say something about us Zimbabwean and Nigerian men. This is really frustrating and unfair to the majority of decent men that do not have a public and international platform to make such lowly gaffes. Honestly Trevor you should have known better.
