I think that majority of the Zimbabweans are still in the 90's basing on their Political and Economical ideology. People like Doctor Nkosana Moyo are excellent in the rebuilding processes of our beloved country but it seems as if they are too "academic". May God bless Zimbabwe.

Dr Moyo is right to say that "we as a people are sitting in a fascinating place where evidence and facts don't count for much. Emotion and tribal alliances and regional alliances trump logical analysis" and change takes time. He goes on to list the things wrong with our political climate, yet he still went on to expect these very same voters to be rational over night during his campaign, why? The rational voter is a myth so why keep insisting? If the voters are illogical: Make them AWARE, make them CARE and Involve them. I am glad he says he would love to study history, I would love to hear his analysis on lessons learnt from the last election.

at 39:00 I like that Trevor you asked that question because throughout the whole interview Nkosana seems to not introspect at all, from his time as minister "failing" to read Mugabe, realizing his appointment was preemptive but doing nothing about it etc .He is logical but he has to do a lot of self work, yes history does prove who is ideally fit for the job but look around Boris was a journalist Merkel a teacher, Obama a lawyer, Trump a "businessman" etc .This should tell you it takes more than just having a track record you can't run a country like a business exclusively, economics is as much political too.

The good doctor is loaded with practical long term ideas that can transform any nation's fortunes to greater heights.
The problem with his prescription is the assumption that transformation can be achieved through a well structured thought process that the whole society is expected to buy into. My opinion is that currently Zimbabwe is deep past redemption therefore needs a political thunderbolt in other words a patriotic dictator in order to achieve alignment in various fronts. Only then can we have economic managers going forward.

Dr you are correct in some aspects and wrong on others. Managers cannot run a country their role is already there as bureaucrat, if it was the case we would have seen it somewhere. Wishful think and stated the problems we all know but short on pragmatic solutions based on the current events. if you enter politic you have to show organisational skill and inspire everyone with your vision. Dr you are too academic and do not speak the common people language. You are corporate guy and have wonderful ideas for the ideal world of commerce but politics requires something else. In politics sometimes knowledge is not the answer.
