Mr Ncube makamira mira apo , you did extremely well to contain that conversation. What I liked the most is how you subtly made Min Chris, in the conclusion, to also realise that the reality they are seeing is only seen from the top looking downwards but from downwards looking top we are seeing Toxicity and Sabotage . In the middle of this conversation, ndatobatwa nefaith ndikati shuwa if all these great men work hand in hand with each other , ndatoona Zimbabwe yatoone maSpagghetti roads and working healthcare system , I hope it was not just a flash of false hope. Once again thank you for these mind bending and nation building conversations , if all parties concerned come on board tinoivaka nyika. Yours Subscriber
Mr Trevor, have you ever invited Tendai Biti to In conversation? I urge you to, Tendai speaks well. The way he speaks uplifts my soul with his eloquency. Please, invite him.
Eloquence. The word you are looking for is 'eloquence'. No, his manner of speech does not make up for his predilection to sell out his own country wholesale over and over and over....
I have been an avid watcher of the Munk Debates and always hoped someone introduced a similar concept for Zimbabwe, and you brother Trevor have done just that and remarkably well too 🙌🏾🙏🏾 Can’t wait for more of this.
Trevor you're an amazing moderator❤. Mr. Biti and Nigel thank you for speaking the truth that most Zimbabweans are too shy to speak out in the presence of ZanuPF officials. Chris thank you for working hard to bring investments to Zimbabwe but you would have been more relatable if you didn't downplay the truth of the existing double standards of giving foreign investments more privileges that local ones. Which brings me back to the number 1 question asked by Nigel, "saka isu hatisi vene here? " 🤔
Trevor thank you . to my opinion Tendai is right because nothing changes from the time Rhodes upnow . But goes to loo part like road ,finance , jobs 😢😢
Great discussion but unfortunately nothing works as long as we have Zanu PF running the government with people like Chris Mutsvangwa who think they know everything. We all know what's need to be done for Zimbabwe to prosper but lack the political will .
Thank you for this and also helping with giving time to everyone. Chris always insults people when he doesn’t agree with them classy and direct from the 2 gentlemen Nigel and Tendai
With all resources we have, zanu pf is failing to give Clean water to the citizens of Zimbabwe, criminals in zanu pf are the ones looting with Chinese, no accountability, that Mutsvangwa, his words has no mercy ,not a good leader, look for better people who have citizens at heart.
He literally said that young miners are dying because the local industry is moving at a slower pace than the international market. He is encouraging illegal mining done by makorokoza which is destroying ecosystems, encouraging smuggling of the precious minerals, and causing death to the young miners due to unsafe unregulated mining.
Kinda disappointed the CEOs were unwilling to air questions, they all chose to laugh at the jokes, except the Nick guy... Otherwise, a good debate. Wish we could have more of these even on radio stations and many other podcasts we have in Zimbabwe now. Thanks Malume Trevor.
What Chris is doing, is one of the reasons why i left church. We are trying to be objective discussing real issues that are affecting growth in Zimbabwe. Him is busy thinking about pleasing his boss. He is missing an opportunity to make things right, the same way his boss has failed to make things right after forcing his way into the power.
But he is right to a certain extent. How are u fitting into the long term narrative. What opportunities can u “iwewe” take advantage of. It can’t just be government do this and that for me while I sit in my home sleeping 30 hours a day! Dude wake up! Go and create opportunities for yourself! U r an adult who can navigate on the internet what useless excuse do u have for lack of knowledge??!!!!
Due to public demand the team brings you the full Big Victoria Falls Debate. Zimbabwe will be built by us and for that to happen we must talk to each other. Not easy but we have no alternative.
Great conversations, i am however not sure if I'm the only one who noticed that Min Mutsvangwa was avoiding the actual questions and answering to questions he crafted himself, or should i say Mr Ncube's questions were broad it gave panellists too much space to wobble around and avoid the main question. He was asked of challenges and opportunities - He spoke of President's vision. He was asked of transparency & governance - He spoke of development. He was asked about political risk - He spoke of youth empowerment & gold mining I may be judging him too hard and wrongly but I think Minister didn't want to debate or talk of the issues raised but just to lecture the conference about what his government is doing and not what was asked.
Thank you very much Bro Trevor for bringing this conversation to us. Please keep them coming, who knows Zim might turn around from this platform, we salute you...
What a show it was! Full of truth, lies , insults ,ego and most importantly relief in airing out issues to put forward zim’s economy as far as politics is concerned
Thank you so much Mr Trevor these are truly the conversations we need to be having as a Nation away from the politics zveshuwa - nyika ndeyedu iyi and its refreshing to know kuti kune vanhu who desperately want to see this nation prosper as we do - knowing Mr Chris I think he was very well behaved today given the circumstances - I'm inspired today as a young person by this Thank you🙏
Chris Mutswanga cant debate without attacking persons. Its wrong to look down upon fellow panelists. He has strong points but hes terrible at putting them across. Nigel was tops...Big up investment banker.
Where do we lose each other really? We are one people after all. Let’s build this country together tese tiri vene venyika into. Well done Trevor for moderating the debate with grace.
Can Mutsvangwa just address the issues in question without looking for ways to glorify the president's decisions and grossly ignoring the obvious lacking in the administration's ability to solve the economic crisis
Thoroughly enjoyed this insightful conversation. Could this be a reflection of the country’s political landscape, where the politicians are always 1 step ahead of the “fundi”. In my view Dr Chris dragged them to his place of comfort and schooled them there. The business had a strong case especially after Mr Vingirai’s submission but an opportunity was lost to drill down on transparency and accountability using the current project raised by Dr Chris as an example. However, also refreshing to note that our Ministers are alive to the events happening on the ground.Unlike what is being peddled out there people are working hard to bring investment. Well done Trevor for such a wonderful program.
Good moderation Trevor quite an insightful conversation we need more of this in a more applicable conversation where ideas are put into action for the betterment of our country
C Mutsvangwa is not an intelligent person. He is good at shouting. He made the Zim Govt look bad. This debate was scary. The old guard and the new guard cannot debate. This is scary.
The mere presence of billionaires in a very poor country signals weak government policy. The govt is supposed to do everything in its capacity to balance inequality. Zimbabwe is failing to copy China.
Minister Mutswanga, how does selling our gold, or any other of our exports for that matter, in US dollars firm the ZWL exchange rate? Me thinks we must sell in ZWL to increase the demand for the currency and therefore it's exchange rate with other currencies.
Exactly. This is the only reason the Russian ruble is still functioning despite starting a war that is opposed by the majority of the world. They are making Europe pay for gas not in USD but in the Russian ruble, strengthening the demand of its currency. Though I still think the Zim bond is still too weak to be competitive on the international market.
I.am.most thankful for this discussion. I thank sincerely all from the Honourable Minister through the facilitators to those who serve the hospitality for this forum. If we want to develop a nation in a balanced way should we not consider return on a good footing to that nation that has the experience . Britain is the home of the industrial revolution..who has today a King whose life is based on the same bible we proclaim. Britain has experience in its ancient ways that is of deep relevance to industrial regeneration for Zimbabwe. As the son of a British mother i have myself made mistakes ,permit. I request for forgiveness and look forward to reconciliation, with the country of my birth under the Lord's wish. Britain also has a separation and accountability of powers that make up the nation state. Thank you all above all for your common love and dedication..and your unity snd harmony.
That made me tear up......its the way that made me feel . We all want the same (what you said & more) not just as Zimbabweans but as human race. I wish i could meet you one day.
honestly Minister Mutsvanga is making sense its only that us Zimbos we are just negative and always mix politics and business...Biti and Nigel have failed to really discuss real issues with Minister...We are staying outside Zim and we need to come back home and also be part of the movement going on...I have been in Zim and I saw that there are business opportunities.... It only needs financial capital.....the Minister is 100% correct...the other 2 didnt tell us anything that i can take home...
Who owns the trucks carrying coal to South Africa. The railway line from Hwange to Byo will never be revamped because the truck owners are highly connected
The point of bringing in investors to mine n ship away row material instead of processing them inside the country and creating more jobs in the processing plants..great debate Mr Trevor can we have more of these debates
We need more open discussions like this in Zimbabwe. Not just on economic or issues. But also on all sectors of the Zimbabwean life. A colleague pointed out that these discussions should extend across various sectors even including some seemingly basic things like hygiene, keeping areas clean, basic healthcare and first aid...every facet of our lives tichinje mafungiro... We were recently reviewing depressing images of trash piled up on the streets of Harare. We all wondered, why is it that we as Zimbabweans are okay to walk by such piles of trash along our streets as if that is normal. Have we no self-pride? Have we no self-dignity? I salute Minister. Mutsvangwa for making himself available for such a candid public discussion. I equally salute Mr. Biti and Mr. Chanakira for speaking candidly on this forum to provide a perspective different from that of the government.
Great communication platform for an important discussion. For a culture that gives "nzondora" to its young ones, is it not cultural for "nzondora" opportunities across the board?
zanu and transparency hazvionani Kris refused to shed light on how and who is involved in the structuring of the deals sad story fo nick n we hv many like that. unfortunately not all of us hv access to pple w power like Kris
The temperature in the room was very hot.. but Uncle Trevor managed it anyway .. Thanks to Mr T. BITI AND N. CHANAKIRA for unfolding those burning issues on the table for us.. though we're not gonna have solutions on them anyway
I dont like these old timers nor their mindset but i must say Chris stood his ground despite the lack of transparency and obvious greediness written all over him.

Listening to Mutsvangwa is painful, frustrating and angering, he exudes the know-it-all attitude, he is condescending and impervious to reason.
yea i agree with your point
And very dull indeed. He is a dunderheard par excellence.
Chris is just arrogant for nothing,Biti and Chanakira are raising very serious issues
C Mutsvangwa is everything wrong with Zimbabwean politics.
Mutshwangwa will be frustrated
Mr Trevor, have you ever invited Tendai Biti to In conversation? I urge you to, Tendai speaks well. The way he speaks uplifts my soul with his eloquency. Please, invite him.

Thank you @Biti for such a very insightful analysis!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Relevant conversations here. Thank you Uncle Trevor.
Im amazed at how Chris brags about resources as if he put them there. Having lithium is not your achievement Hon. Minister.

Hayi guys, if realy those guys who kept on laughing on Chris's stupidity are the CEOs we have in Zimbabwe seriously i give up👐👐.
Great discussion but unfortunately nothing works as long as we have Zanu PF running the government with people like Chris Mutsvangwa who think they know everything. We all know what's need to be done for Zimbabwe to prosper but lack the political will .
Biti has vast knowledge on the economy. He does his research.
Well done done Trevor, Tendai and Dr Nigel
Thank you for this and also helping with giving time to everyone. Chris always insults people when he doesn’t agree with them classy and direct from the 2 gentlemen Nigel and Tendai

I love how Master Trevor has balanced the Debate

Watching these three debating is like waking up feeling very energetic and healthy and at the end of the day you find yourself in a ICU and repeat 🤣🤣🤣
Nigel Chanakira and Biti I really appreciate your pointers
Mutsvangwa is in the fighting mood 😂😂😂
Thank you Mkoma Trevor, taking it to another level, I wanna see this more. Thank you.
Thank you very much Bro Trevor for bringing this conversation to us. Please keep them coming, who knows Zim might turn around from this platform, we salute you...
Insightful and Informative. Keep up the good work Trevor!

This is exactly what we need to be having . Engaging with each other and sharing ideas and perspectives
😩😩you really think Chris is there to engage.listen to him
"Whoever is talking war now we are not interested"😂😂🤣
Are we expressing pride that we have the Chinese doing all these things for us?
Good! I think we need part 2, 3, 4, 5...bring in Oliver Guseni Arthur Mutambara too
So Chris just confirmed the existence of the Gold Mafia 😢
I'm impressed by Biti

Tendai Biti and Nigel Chanakira are a delight to listen to. they know economics not from an arrogant demeanor but from factuality. Thank you you 2
Mutsvangwa chaanogona kutsamwa nekupopota, remember his debate with Jongwe back then

we need more of this MR TREVOR
We did not fight the British but Ian Smith, the British imposed sanctions on smith mutsvangwa is lying.
What's the name of the company and billionaire. Why do they remain unnamed?
It is the same people we hear about in the news
So all along we were waiting for manhizhe to develop this country
Not sure why talking about billionaires when we are the poorest in health and getting worse in education🤷♀️
The mere presence of billionaires in a very poor country signals weak government policy. The govt is supposed to do everything in its capacity to balance inequality. Zimbabwe is failing to copy China.
Biti and chanakira are talking sense.
Debate always expose some to harsh realities. Some facts that many doesn't want to digest.
True Nigel its real more expensive to do business in Zimbabwe with 4 digits exchange rate , forced to accept falsified exchange rate
Minister Mutswanga, how does selling our gold, or any other of our exports for that matter, in US dollars firm the ZWL exchange rate? Me thinks we must sell in ZWL to increase the demand for the currency and therefore it's exchange rate with other currencies.

Communication is key. Government is failing to disemminate information.
No substance from Mutsvangwa as usual but personal attacks on others
