Neighbourly advice on SA from Zimbabwe’s Trevor Ncube

  • Our neighbour to the north, Zimbabwe, is in a torrid way. It has been for some time but it seems the status quo, despite having a new coup-imposed leader since late 2017, is not budging. The outlook in the short term remains bleak. Recovery in the long term remains a possibility though, according to Zimbabwean entrepreneur and media mogul Trevor Ncube.
He was speaking on the final day of the BizNews Conference in the Drakensberg about whether Zim presents opportunity for investors or is currently a basket case of a country. It is the latter that shone through in his comments.

The problem with Zimbabweans is you won't give CCC a chance and if you do, you'll probably expect changes to be made within 1 term which really isn't possible.
We need to give CCC at least 2 terms to see change. ZANU PF has already wasted 40 years, what more can be damaged in just 10.

The problem in Zimbabwe is the Zimbabweans talk too much and most of them luck respect look at them in South Africa. I thought he should praise the courts/judiciary since he got his citizenship/passport back 🙄. Im still yet to hear them give credit to thier government in getting a good education

His dismissal of the opposition CCC as if it's nothing is surprising. I hope he is as wrong as he was to get on the advisory board. That was poor judgement.

Are you ashamed of your countries? Africa is a Continent with territories . Zimbabwe is your territory.
