I haven't seen a need for adding a roof rack until this video. Most setups seem too tall or bulky, or they limit the use of the freedom panels. I really like what you did. Great idea and thanks for sharing with us.
I had a couple of those on my Tacoma a few years back. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the foresight to brace them and they cracked under the abuse of the sun and high speed desert washboard roads. Plus, I’m pretty sure I overloaded them. I say, if you can keep your weight down, throw a few braces inside and shy away from jumping your truck; the case will most likely have a lengthy lifespan.
Thanks! Wind noise that’s hard to say I have MT tires, aftermarket exhaust, and the sunrider so it’s alaways loud 🤣. Adding the rack and box made it a little louder tho…
With the mud terrain tires and sunrider suntop was already loud, so it’s hard for me say whether the box is noticeable louder. I would say it adds additional wind noise, but it’s not super loud.
