    After a massive explosion that killed hundreds and left thousands of homeless, I just knew that another huge fire was burning what's left of my country. Also, I saw that you have put a yin yoga class. Right in time, for it calmed me down after the annoying news. Thank you so much for your great efforts. I pray for everyone in Lebanon to try to stay safe. Namaste🙏

      I am in physical pain and have been now for a year. I am also at a loss with that feeling of maybe having lost or going to lose my early youth - it is horrible. You are not alone. I am in physical Constant pain - but there's still hope. It will get better. - Try intermittent fasting, it can work miracles for to let the body repair itself. "Autophagy" : when you fast the cells that are ill get destroyed by the healthy ones and the body can regenerate.

      I'm surprised to see that someone else in the same age group suffers from the same condition. Thank you for this practice. When you said to dedicate this to someone, I knew this was the perfect practice for today. I dedicated this to my husband. I lost him to cancer exactly two months ago today. This practice was gentle, calming, relaxing, restorative and I loved that you said at the end to recall the person you dedicated this to. Beautiful practice, beautiful sentiment. Thank you for the gift of your channel. Namaste.

    • @ellenled
      @ellenled 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Angelique, I dedicated this to my husband as well---who died from cancer 3 1/2 weeks ago. I love that you also are into self-care rather than self-pity (although I will admit to being tearful for a few minutes every day, but it's as much about gratitude as just dwelling on the loss). I've tried to participate in FB groups for widows and grief, but so many of the people there actually admit they never want to feel good or enjoy life again. It's not going to bring our husbands back to be stuck in nothing but grief forever. Would love to chat with you more.

    • @AngieD59
      @AngieD59 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ellenled Hi Ellen, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's still very raw for me. although I can go a few days without crying now, it will hit me out of nowhere and can be overwhelming (the sadness and grief). Everyone deals with grief differently, there is no wrong or right and there is no timetable but I agree that dwelling on it is not healthy. I've done yoga every day since his passing and it helps although I don't really get into the spiritual side of yoga. I've concentrated on gentle yoga which is what my body and soul need right now. I take it one day at a time.

    In one word: Intense. This was my first Yin-style class and wow. There were times I thought holding the poses so long was too much for me but I stuck it out. I had a moment of anxiety and the sensation seemed to collect in my stomach which is where I usually hurt when I'm stressed. Then it all seemed to leave me and when I finished I felt renewed somehow. Thank you for this longer Yin practice, Kassandra! I loved that it started with a more substantial meditation and the option to dedicate it to someone, not just an intention. I also loved that you had the same music in the background playing I was listening to before beginning this practice with you! Beautiful synchronicity!
    I left this session very relaxed and open, but found it much more difficult than any practice I’ve done with you so far. Reclined Hero/Saddle Pose was impossible for me, so I had to do the Reclined Fish Pose with Butterfly option. Also, holding Baby Dragon Pose on both sides, even with blocks for my hands, was too much of a stretch for my hip flexors. I had to stop and move back into a hamstring stretch 2-3 times on each side, pointing and flexing my extended foot instead, during those poses.
    This practice, to me, definitely felt more intermediate, but because we held the poses longer than in other Yin practices I’ve done with you, I felt GREAT afterward. THANK YOU! 🙏 I hope this feedback is helpful, Kassandra. Thank you for all you do for us here on TH-cam! Namaste!
