  • Welcome to answering your IVF and pregnancy questions! Through instagram, I asked for your top IVF and pregnancy questions, and I had so much fun answering them! You guys had so many great questions, especially IVF questions. I've never done a question and answer style video so I wasn't sure how this was going to go, but I loved answering all of your questions!
    Since I was only answering your IVF and pregnancy questions through instagram, I want to know what questions you guys here on TH-cam have fore me because I know I have some people on TH-cam but not Instagram. Ask me anything related to IVF and pregnancy and I will make sure to answer them below!
    You guys who asked an IVF or pregnancy question, I hope I answered it in a way that helped you. Those of you going through IVF, fertility treatments, dealing with infertility, suffering through loss, or going through your own IVF pregnancy...NEVER GIVE UP!! I'm now 36 weeks along as I'm uploading this video today and I NEVER thought IVF would work for me after over 10 years of infertility and hopelessness.

    I also had the genetic testing done (expensive but well worth it as I’m over 40)
    I had 7 embryos but only 4 were covered in the test, out of those 4 I got 1 normal and that’s the one we have implanted. 6 weeks pregnant as today 🙌🏾

    Thank you for your videos! My husband and I are doing our final fertility testing before we get the green light to start our IVF process. Been trying to have a baby off and on the last 4 years. I am currently 36 and will be 37 this upcoming August. Feeling nervous about the teat results but believe we will get the good news to be able to start IVF. Thank you for your videos. Just started watching them and are really helpful. Congratulations on your pregnancy!! What a blessing.

    I appreciate you sharing your journey! I have my embryo transfer coming up in March and I can’t wait. I’ve been watching your videos throughout my journey. I am also 36 so it’s been helpful seeing someone else of the same age going through it. I’m so happy for you guys! This is our 1st round of IVF, but try #11 for pregnancy between IUI’s and ICI. Crossing our fingers and toes that we’re successful! 😊🤞🏼 We’ll find out on St. Patrick’s day if the transfer was successful so I feel like that has to be good luck already! 🍀

    Love your videos! I just started stims 4 days ago and your insight is so valuable! As an athlete it’s been really tough to “slow down” activity wise but I love hearing what you have to say regarding mental health, exercise, and nutrition. Knowing that ivf is just temporary is really helpful.

      I’m so incredibly glad you found this video helpful! Yes it’s so tough to slow down, especially when you’re used to a very active lifestyle. Yes and it’s so temporary! Just a short chapter in our lives.

    SCH is essentially a collection of blood that can form beneath the future site of the placenta. It tends to be more common in IVF pregnancies and can be asymptomatic or associated with spotting or passing of clots. They usually detect it with an early ultrasound in weeks 6-9 and most resolve by the second trimester.

    • @brittany_elizabeth_rn
      @brittany_elizabeth_rn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you thank you!! This is so helpful! So it sounds like it’s not a big deal most of the time? I haven’t had a chance to look into it yet

    • @fldhkybnva
      @fldhkybnva ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brittany_elizabeth_rn for the most part, it’s usually just something to be aware of in terms of activity (eg pelvic rest) as well as peace of mind to explain any spotting. The risk depends on the size of the hematoma relative to the gestational sac but even larger ones tend to resolve by clotting and then being reabsorbed. I’m not sure if any studies have looked at it but I wonder if the fact many IVF patients are also on aspirin increases the risk. It’s a curious association, for sure.

    • @kbwatson12
      @kbwatson12 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had one and got pregnant via IUI. Very early in my pregnancy I had a small gush of blood that stopped right away. We realized at my next ultrasound that it had been caused a pocket of blood by the attachment site (SCH). I was told to take it easy and stop my blood thinners for a couple weeks. I’m on preventative blood thinners because of a previous pulmonary embolism so that may have been part of the reason too. Luckily I only had the one bleed, but was warned it could happen again until it kinda dried up.

    53!? Are you sure? Most people have 6-15 eggs they can retrieve per cycle.

    • @brittany_elizabeth_rn
      @brittany_elizabeth_rn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yes I’m sure😅 pretty unusual even the doctors were a little surprised, but most of them were immature and poor quality. Better to have fewer and better quality than tons with poor quality. And yes you’re correct; most people only retrieve a small amount❤️

      @@brittany_elizabeth_rn that’s crazy! I was told you have to watch out for over stimulating as it’s painful! One of the frustrating things about ivf is how it’s kinda learn as you go lol. I related to when you said it a crap shoot trying to do things for a good out come. My first cycle we retrieved 7 and one embryo made it and my second cycle we retrieved 11 and 6 survived but one has abnormalities… I did pretty much nothing different 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
