  • I want to talk to you guys about my high risk pregnancy from IVF. When I was hospitalized at 37 weeks due to pregnancy induced hypertension and pre-eclampsia, I learned a lot about why IVF pregnancies are high risk and the risks associated with an IVF pregnancy. Before being hospitalized, I knew IVF pregnancies were higher risk, but I didn't know I was high risk for things like hypertension and pre-eclampsia. So I want to pass on my knowledge to you guys!
In this video, I talk about my experience going through an IVF pregnancy and what I've learned about the risk factors involved. I discuss the additional testing and monitoring I had to do because of my IVF pregnancy compared to a non IVF pregnancy.
Overall, IVF pregnancies are considered higher risk and I tell you all about my IVF pregnancy. I hope this video is helpful and feel free to comment on what you know about IVF pregnancies being higher risk.

Congratulations on your little boy! Love your videos - they’re so positive. I’m about to start my IVF in a few weeks so I’m watching all your previous videos - they so informative and I had no idea that pregnancy after IVF is higher risk. I already have a 6 year old but I struggle with secondary infertility for 5 years so IVF is our last attempt to have another one. I also had a traumatic birth and I can honestly say that it’s all worth it and the older they become the better it gets - there is nothing better than hearing your little one saying how much they love you and waking up to hugs and kisses. Wishing everyone who struggles with infertility a successful outcome!

Thanks for sharing your story! So happy for you guys that a everything turned out perfect.
I was put in long acting aspirin since before the embryo transfer. At the maternal fetal study on week 12 doctor said that I had no risk for preclampsia so I’m really hoping that is the case. I’m on week 14 now and feel positive about a great pregnancy 🤞 but still cautious for everything as it is IVF PREGNANCY, I’m 41 and type 1 diabetic 😬

Baby aspirin is usually started between 12-16 weeks. You have several of the risk factors so it is curious why it wasn’t recommended but so glad that all is well with you and Quinn! I actually had to ask my OB about it but then she 100% recommended it.
