    Pumas roars arw quite similar to their southern continent cousins the jaguars

    • @_AntonioRipoll
      @_AntonioRipoll 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Absolutely not. Pumas don't really roar the way MOST members of the "Panthera" genus do, such as Jaguars.
      I can assure you that. I've been with Jaguars in captivity more times than I can count.

    • @cannabiscraftsman1278
      @cannabiscraftsman1278 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      these pumas live in the southern continent, South America. You can tell by the guanacos that they are in the mountains of Chile or Argentina. looks like a part of Patagonia to me

      Pumas arent like jaquars and actually pumas are lesser cats cause they cant roar where jaquars arent

    • @indyreno2933
      @indyreno2933 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Antonio "EL BICHERO" Ripoll, actually, the genus Panthera contains only two extant species and four species as a whole in the fossil record, the only four members of the genus Panthera are the currently living Leopard (Panthera pardus) and Lion (Panthera leo) and the extinct European Jaguar (Panthera gombaszoegensis) and African Jaguar (Panthera shawi), while the other ten species are relocated to two distinct genera, Uncia for the currently living Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia) and Tiger (Uncia tigris) and the extinct Cave Lion (Uncia spelaea), Tibetan Jaguar (Uncia blytheae), East Asian Lion (Uncia youngi), Longdan Tiger (Uncia zdanskyi), and Chinese Jaguar (Uncia palaeosinensis) and Jaguarius for both the currently living Jaguar (Jaguarius onca) and the extinct American Lion (Jaguarius atrox) and Yucatan Leopard (Jaguarius balamoides), these ten greater big cat species now reclassified into two genera on their own are now more closely related to clouded leopards (genus Neofelis) than they are to the Southwest Asian, West European, and African roaring cats, in fact, this classification now redefines the genera based on geographical distribution alone.

      All animals prefer to avoid any risk of injury, if they can help it. The males just tend to be forced into conflict, because typically with mammals it's the males which have to compete for the females, or the territory with the females, not the other way around.

    This is exactly what is expected from an unplanned, unintentional, unintelligent, unguided, foresight-less, imperfect & amoral unconscious evolutionary creation process. This is exactly what is *NOT* expected from a perfect, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient & benevolent moral conscious creator with thoughtful intentions & an intelligent plan.

      @@aaronburns9538 I can understand your frustration with cats and I do respect that, but if I can provide a scientific perspective on this particular ethical dilemma, then thank you. You see, without cats, all those other creatures would go extinct either way, because in an ecosystem, every resource is limited, being constantly cycled as energy, matter, nutrients and biomass throughout the entire system (aka negative feedback mechanisms/loops). Plants (the producers) are eaten by herbivores/omnivores, and those (consumers) are then eaten by their predators (for example, a cat). The cats then die and their bodies are broken down by organisms living in the soil (decomposers). The nutrients from the cats are then stored in the soil. Those nutrients are then taken up by the plants and the cycle goes on and on. Now let’s say all cats are killed off, then those small mammals would be increasing, which is good, however, when the population of those animals keep increasing and aren’t balanced, they’ll keep eating all the plants and food resources until there’s none left, so they’ll then begin to decrease in population until they end up extinct. Cats balance out the resources in an environment and are essential for the stability of those habitats.
