Even though we are finding that Pumas are much more social than we once thought (and not just in Chile either, I believe similar behavior has been seen in other areas as well), as far as I know, they still do not hunt in coordinated prides like lions. Pumas are still very much solitary hunters. It is only after a kill is made that they may decide to share the carcass if there are other Pumas around.

The vibe I'm getting is more 'house cats that tolerate each other' than 'coordinated pride'.
they're adapting perfectly, so glad to have these people protecting their rights. Nature will thrive as long as people started recognizing the importance of nature in overall health of our world. Hope we can have more people like this guy.

In the end of this episode when they grow up and are starting to compete over food, the big male still doesn't attack his siblings, he just kind of sits on them until they get out of the way

So "pyu-ma" is an acceptable pronunciation then? I thought so because in the previous video someone was correcting Attenborough's pronunciation of "pyu-ma" to "poo-ma". It's an accent/dialect/language thing, folks!

I'm from Argentina, a chilean's neighbour country. What you said it's correct. The pronunciation here is "poo-ma". Him is just mixing it with the pronunciation in english of the word. Example:"puke"
