Words can not describe how much I want this game. Watched many videos on this game and I am pretty much sold. I know the game is hard... but I still really want it...
Look for old vintage games stores around you. Once you hear of them, go to them immediately before they get picked out. Most of those stores end up with common games because they don't want to pay the money to get good games in their store or they simply get bought. There's one in a store near me, He wants I think $20 for it.
This is one of my all time favourite video games. One of the many reasons why this was so special was the excellent analog shoulder buttons of the GameCube controller, they really used them to perfection in F-Zero GX, the fine control of the ship was something that has never been reached before or after. True classic. Thank you for the video.

it's smart on Nintendo's part though. majority of players are just gonna pick Falcon every time, and having a difficult game while giving other characters advantages gives players a reason to branch out and pick other drivers.

This game was actually made by both Nintendo and SEGA, the latter having a lot more experience in the genre with games like Daytona USA, SEGA Rally, the OutRun series, etc.
there is rubberbanding even in GP. i don't know why people want to believe there isn't. this game is as guilty as the early Mario Karts of cheap rubberbandhing AI. play PRSLS in master to see the clearest example.

I've tried Fast RMX and Wipeout Omega and they're ok, but nothing matches the speed and driving of this game. Still one of my favourites of all time. No hope for a new game, at this point I'd already be happy with a Switch HD update .

This game was very good. Games like this I thought were more along the lines of what I would play as a kid because I've always been Team Nintendo. My favorite track was the Dragon Slope. It's quite fun once you get the aiming down and I beat a Staff Ghost on it using Pico.
Thanks for this video. I wanted to go back and play GX and see my 100% complete file. Turns out Gamecube memory cards don't age well and the whole thing got corrupted. Glad I could see the whole thing again!

CloudStrifeZX Blue Falcon is slow. there's many regular cars that are way faster and i never compared it to custom cars. it was a comparison against the other cars. this car is not very good and people need to accept that. the fact i won the races can be factored out because i won even with Silver Rat and that's the slowest car.
that low accel for Hyper Speeder is only a problem at the start of the race. the max speed advantage over the whole race is way bigger. HS can hold speeds over 1700 when boosting easily whilke BF can't even break 1600 consistently. HS's grip is better. BF in X was actually a top contender but in GX it isn't even top 10. Fat Shark, Black Bull, Sonic Phantom, Wild Boar, Hype Speeder, Rainbow Phoenix, Death Anchor, Fire Stingray, Deep Claw, Twin Noritta are all faster and i might be forgetting some which are very close to it.

Well, you can play as different ships in story mode, it just require a simple AR code. Yes it's cheating, but it's fun that you can try out your favorite machines in story mode.
Ahhh f-zero I spent so many hours on this and no matter how many hundreds of times I played it I was always on hype...some one should slap Nintendo for not making a remake it would be good for the switch I think
WHY IS THE COMPUTER SO GOOD ON CYLINDER STAGES. I swear no matter how good I get they're always so amazing on them. There's parts of those tracks that I have no idea how they gain speed. Like the bumps at the end of the first port town cylinder. They always gain more speed than me when not boosting.

Well, you can play as different ships in story mode, it just require a simple AR code. Yes it's cheating, but it's fun that you can try out your favorite machines in story mode.
Ahhh f-zero I spent so many hours on this and no matter how many hundreds of times I played it I was always on hype...some one should slap Nintendo for not making a remake it would be good for the switch I think
I always freak out on Serial Gaps when the music gets really fast. I just start mashing boost and end up falling off.

WHY IS THE COMPUTER SO GOOD ON CYLINDER STAGES. I swear no matter how good I get they're always so amazing on them. There's parts of those tracks that I have no idea how they gain speed. Like the bumps at the end of the first port town cylinder. They always gain more speed than me when not boosting.
they have rubberbanding AI. contrary to what most believe, all the F-Zero games are guilty of this and it's funny only Mario Kart gets called out for it.
***** My main gripe is with the AI on Cylinder Wave. And I don't think I'll ever beat them on Phantom Road.
