jtojagicc YES! That was a mix of scaven best two units for me, the ratlin gun and the mortar, is was AMAZING
The problem would be that rattling guns outrange them.
@@Kalenz1234 yea but at max range their accuracy is horrible. like 80% of the shots miss. at shorter range 5-6 rattling guns could kill a star dragon in a similar short time
If you ever get chance, stack warlock engineers 5-6, Get the poisoned wind mortar renown squad and fill the rest with warplock jezzails and ratling guns, your range will be around 480-500 with jezzails and you can buff accuracy with the warlock engineers to take down their dragons for example, literally melts them, if their troops get too close, you got machine gun death globe mortar melting their ass and if they actually get past that, you got ratling guns taking them down before they reach anywhere near your troops, all the while you have over 60% ammo left in scenarios like this.
Edit: You also can get the speed buff from the warlock engineers that will make your troops probably run faster than some cavalry. Just in case, play Skryre, workshop just buffs the renown squad that much more.

When the star dragon on the right flank died in 2 seconds I was :O but then the one on the left flank died in .2 seconds and I have to say, I'm sold. Loading my dwarf campaign, this looks awesome.
there are 28 models in a unit on very large army size, the reason it died this quick is that it was a massive target going straight for them making full use of explosion damage.
Send this to norsca and watch the mammoths die. Maybe also chosen and Kholek.
Lol, got a Ungrim campaign going now and just trying to finish off Chaos but they're too scared to come out and play. Definitely going to try this doomstack out. By Sigmar, I love this community and the stacks people create.

@@brijekavervix7340 thats the explosion damage I believe, basically they have an explosion area and if all the explosion area is taken by something big like a dragon, that thing takes 1.5k damage.
If instead there's a foot lord who only takes like 40% of that area he would take ~50% (if standing in the center of the explosion), this might seem like 750 damage but I don't know how big that explosion area is.
For a perfect example of damage numbers being overexaggerrated look up gyrocopters (or is it bombers?) they also have a ton of missile damage.

6:11 The biggest threat to a Trollhammer seems to be Trollhammers. That speed boost might be really useful for getting your guys out of Menace Belows, or anything else that can touch you long enough to draw friendly fire.
6:27 Not cavalry though. Your unit size is so small that EVERY Trollhammer gets thrown aside by the charge, leaving the whole unit of Dragon Princes bunched up alone and confused in an empty field surrounded by enemy RPGs.

between 7.17 and 7.19 a full hp star dragon get's annihilated in literally 2 seconds LOL
I don't know what you saw, but in my eyes that dragon just disappeard in less than 0.5 seconds. The sun dragon took 2 seconds.
Not only that, it died to fire aimed to the other dragon, impressive

I noticed that the irondrakes aim a bit to short. Thats probably the reason why the other dragon died so fast in indirect fire. Because if you aim on a unit a few feet/metres behind your main target you probably deal more damage.
The fact, that the irondrake doomstack is already strong enough, even though they have a bad aiming ai.... I don't want to imagine what happens if they don't miss "on purpose". o.o

@@hackapell666 It would work very well in fact. The mammoths are too large and the units in combat would not block others from shooting them. Also because of their greater size than dragons even more projectiles would hit. A full mammoth stack would not stand a chance.

I think the most interesting thing is sticking it on Belegar who gives his entire army Vanguard. Imagine that shooting your front line in the first few seconds of the battle?
That's probably part of the charm. Gets you round having to job across the field against artillery spammers.
Also the irondrake move at 53 speed (thanks to engineer speed buff) which is basically heavy cavalry speeds allowing to outrun most enemies easily killing any retreating soldier.

Saw the doomstack, thought it might be a bit fun to see how it does. Then it deletes the dragons, kills the cav, and I knew the infantry had no chance, so I just started laughing like a mad man. The only way to deal with this, is by using something with more range than it to try and kill them. Can't really sort them out any other way, everything just dies.
The best thing he didn’t show is. Dwarf can finally have speed to chase enemies after battle wins. 53 movements speed just slower then horses unit. Thanks for those likes guys :)

Do the engineers give speed bonuses or are firedrakes fast or something?
@@GoreGutztheImpaler They give a speed buff to ranged units I think. It's supposed to be for artillery, but I never considered spamming engineers and Irondrakes. You might actually be able to kill a 5th edition Grey Knight grandmaster from 40k with that stack, as impossible as it may seem.

all those engineers together learned how to invent the automatic grande launcher with this.
The Dwarfen path to victory: Apply High Explosives until things stop moving. Then reload and apply more.
Those Irondrakes were firing so fast I began to wonder when they gave explosive ammo to ratling guns.
High elves : "NOOOOO you can't just delete our most powerful unit in 2 seconds NOOOOO"
Dwarves : "Haha torpedoes go BRRR"
Let's be honest, with 6 Master Engineer, any dwarven ranged unit is a doomstack.

i like this doomstack way more than the normal dwarfstacks because its so much more fun to use

this is a pretty common doomstack, explosive damage with engineers both for skaven or dwarfs. Its better if you have 1 less engineer (since fire speed for trollhammers caps at 4 engineers) and drop one trollhammer and add one organ and one grudgetrhrower, for anti range and anti artillery respectivelly, that doomstack is almost unstoppable, since it melts everything from mamoths to sisters to anything.
the same is true for skaven, 4 engineers with poison wind mortars is INSANE, since they kill more than this trollhammers at 4 times the range. drawback beeing they cannot kill single entity units at all.
@Deathsdayoff person for sieges, and because the cannon is pretty meh vs infanty while the thrower can disrupt them if you dont need anti artillery, with 600 range, any artillery is a monster anti artillery.
@Deathsdayoff person you are underestimating grudgethrowers inmensely, they perform incredibly good in my experience. better than cannons in almost every way except tower breaking on sieges.

Same trick kinda works with Skryre Deathglobes and general Ratling Guns, but it's not nearly as good as this.
The Iron Drakes with Trollhammers can basically ignore Dragons and Phoenixes as they have anywhere between 75% to 100% (I know it caps at 90% or so) versus them.

I love the just dead silence as Legend absorbs what just occurred after the battle for about 15 or so seconds. I was in awe of the sheer cheese factor and I love it.

Dwarfs are a proud warrior race and by refusing to use a staunch line of axes you are disgracing the race, etc.

Probably not a composition you can have too many armies of for obvious reasons but yeah that's pretty crazy. There are some other races you can do similar stuff with too by stacking heroes that buff missile units
The auto resolve was right, the blance of power was highly in your favor.
is there any way not to abuse autoresolve? ive enjoyed only campaign on legend with vampire counts (in TW 1, dont have TW 2) because without artillery i couldnt abuse it
@@Quitarstudent dont worry, in total war warhammer 2 you il see that not everything can be autoresolved.

you can take a rattling-gun from a skaven... but you cant take the skaven out of a rattling-gun. even when you call it Trollhammer Torpedo... or dragonhammer torpedo.
Balance of power says that they get creamed. I'm 1:49 in and wondering if it's worth watching the rest. LOL, I'm glad I kept watching, that damage on the Sun dragon was filthy. Those things are obscene. That is far stronger than my organ gun, thunderer, iron breaker stacks. It just evaporates EVERYTHING.

i have one with 9 engineers. I have a banner of swiftness on a bugman rangers unit: speed-87 (range289, damage287 ammo64). Seems like the catapult and the girobomber have a range limit. But the organ fun: 540range/4200dmg and the flame cannon 450/4900 and both at 2sec reload are are working as intended:)
