This is what I expected from the Peloton Guide

I’m loving the update! My low readiness score yesterday , prompted me to get more sleep. After 7 hours of sleep, my score went up to 97.

There are no custom workouts. Instead each each training plan has a couple of bespoke workouts that were filmed/produced specifically for that training plan. As you progress through the plan you will encounter a mix of these bespoke workouts and workouts that are intelligently picked for you from the huge library of pre-recorded workouts. Which one you get depends on how your muscles are doing (biometry) and what workouts you've already done that week.

When I saw that one of their personal trainers posted on LinkedIn that his whole dept was being laid off as of July (note NOT the on-camera trainers) I figured they were moving in an AI route. Got the update today and it’s pretty cool so far.

Happy to see the biometric data and enhanced computer vision tech. Also your videos influenced me to purchase the Tempo Move. Thanks!

If I have a core/move, can I set my own weights during a workout? Or can I only do it on the studio?

Unfortunately I think it is only possible with the studio.

It all sounds to amazing but also incredibly limited given that users are working with group-fitness level (ie. light) weights on Tempo.
For example: how is it going to give customized training on things like: deadlifts, squats, rows, etc… with most male users?
Unless I’m mistaking about Tempo, but everything I’ve seen seems to show relatively lightweights.
But, they steps they’ve done on this update should definitely be looked at by other connected fitness companies.

Yes that is a fair assessment. I believe the dumbbells can go to ~50lbs and barbell to ~250lbs which should be enough for the majority (who are beginners) but not for guys with a lifting background of a few years (tho same is true for other connected fitness devices like Tonal). I believe they might have some new heavier equipment options in the works, but not sure on the timeline for that

@@ConnectTheWattsoh. To my error, I didn’t realize they went up to 250lbs. Still on the smaller side for me, but I does cover more of the general population than I may have first assumed.
