I am like a broken record Nick, but it never fails to impress me the amount of space the design crew pack into these smaller boats.. Very impressive indeed.. And I love that touch with the sunbeds up top.. Thanks for showing us around Nick.
Yes,for sure needs passenger forward seating,so many new boats only have captn seat only looking ahead. They design to be floating condos, comfy dockside only, checkout carvers marquis 42,awesome boat but 1 seat, thats ALL!!!!!!! FORWARD VIEW
One of the best boats that you have shown at that price range if not the best, I love the single engine, the secret area and the two heads. Loads of space for two families, the extra freezer is great as is where the TV is.
What an EPIC 40 footer! Be awesome for the great circle route in the United States, as well as Florida to the Bahamas. Brilliant design! Be happy, be safe
That’s a lot of boat for the money and I’d guess ideally suited to rivers or slowly cruising down the coast. I thought you’d missed the steps when you went passed the first time. Foolish me to think you would!! Nice little bonus area. Thanks Nick 👍
Depends on your intentions but this is not an ocean boat, and I personally would never buy a 40ft boat with a single engine, unless of course it was a sailboat. Beautiful boat, though!
@@professorvoluck9311 only one boat I would buy for the ocean ,Nelson,Dale,Seaward, most of the Boats i see, spend most of their life on the Marina or just pottering around the coast.
No matter what the boat, Nick makes it worth watching, and in this case, it's a VERY nice boat, and a bargain at that price. Nice layout, and pretty cozy for family getaways. Thanks again, Nick!!
Impressed with the layout on this boat . Love that there are 2 heads on it ....don't they say that 2 heads are better than 1 , 😁 . Really like the sunbeds on the top . Thanks Nick 👍. You and Maryanne stay safe out there.
given the awesome reliability of marine heads, having two that are identical has some advantages. I am amazed by some famous brand long range trawlers with just one and it would be a long trip if that head 'kraps' out, eh?
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this Northman 1200 I happy that you give a nice explanation of this boat for us you are the first one who do this I think. There is also a electric moter what is powered with a feul cell when I am right thanks again Nick
That’s a great boat for the money. I’ve said it once and say it again. Nick you must be so well respected in your field. I could watch your tours all day. It’s nice to see you back out and about again
I've looked at boats ranging from a few hundred thousand to around twenty million. I love this one above most others, it's exceptional. If I had a million or two, I'd gladly ride around the waves in this and stare at my remaining money (or watch it disappear on fuel from taking people around in it ☺️👍)
I like this boat from Northman, the design of the heads is great and flexible. This is a river and sea boat with a good range of mileage. Looks like a sturdy boat which gives you what you need
Hi Nick. That is a fantastic boat. Very clever layout. 3 cabins 2 heads with showers for a 40ft. Rear facing aft seating. The cherry on the cake 🎂 sunpads on the roof. Love it. Awesome walkthrough tour thanks 😊
That's a damn cool 40' boat. Really giving some of the other small cabin cruiser boats a run for the money. Perfect little bay or bayou boat too. Go out to about 12 miles offshore and camp beyond the city lights. Enjoy the stars and fish.
I had to come back after a year and read more comments after another great tour to refresh my memory. What an excellent family ship.A couple can cruise as much as they'd like,or a family for long weekends,or even a couple weeks with re-provisioning.Well designed and executed.TY Northman, and of course you Nick.
Now this my size of boat, enough room to entertain friends and the ability to accommodate them. Brilliant, keep up these videos they are a life saver. Thats just my opinion of course.
Wow, I have seen a lot of your videos but this boat has to be the best one I've seen for that "little" money. That is actually a boat I could see my self buying once I'm older and I have the money. I love it and also amazing video as always
Something that always impresses me is how thoroughly knowledgeable you are of all aspects of a boat. There are lots of little cubbies and features to keep track of and you do it so well.
What a fantastic boat Nick. Has everything you would need for long distance cruising in a 40 foot boat. For us with a cruising speed of 23 knotts we would defo be talking to the builders to change from our grandezza to that. Love,y boat Nick. Your worth your weight in gold fella.
I have always thought that having ensuite bathrooms on smaller boats wasnt as functional as having them seperat, and I never really understood why it was so important to have ensuite on a smaller boat.
I like it! Why? It is smartly designed with plenty of features that I look for. The range is perfect. I would navigate the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in this luxury craft. Well done Sir!👍🇺🇸
Infill cushions are always to be found stored on the beds or in hanging lockers. Do boats of this size ever come with dedicated storage spaces for them?
@@Gynra Not on any boat I have seen of the size. I have an old wooden Egg Harbor 37, and the triangular infill and support for the vbirth typically sits on the other cushions, or you can put it in the hanging locker.
WOW.. now this one I could like very much. Columbia river curser for sure.. From Portland Oregon down to the ocean for some crabbing and salmon fishing or up to the desert and the snake river for sturgeon fishing.. Wonderful! thanks Nick.. I am gonna look into this one..
Another great video as ever. I always enjoy when designers come up with something a little different and don’t just go with the same as everybody else. Your last video also showed off a really good example of going off and trying to be different, and there is only one person who shows them off so well to us. Keep up the great work nick 👍
I don't even own not have the money to buy any boat lol but I can say if I were to choose any if I had the money it would be this one 😍. Exquisite piece of engineering and design. Looks fantastic
Great small boat with plenty of areas for guests and the 2 heads is a great idea...when those numbers come in will be a fantastic sized boat to learn boating for spending pleasantr weekends in before moving up to an Absolute or a Silent Yacht lol
I think this is definitely a well thought out design , and the price is definitely giving a lot for the money . Very enjoyable tour Nick. Best wishes as always 😀👍👍👍
Incredible value for money. I imagine this is ruffling some feathers at this price point. They removed the aspect of luxury and maintained basic practicality. Its like a mini "flybridge" yacht! I think this would be ideal to own in the Med and make available to charter when not in use. I reckon you could possibly cover the monthly cost of ownership. Love it.
Love it . I just looked at a Bennetau 35’ with 3 cabins but only 1 head. It has a fly bridge but the price is actually a bit higher . I’m going to look into this model more 👍🏽. The sleeping spaces are definitely bigger
What a brilliant boat for a quarter of a million pounds, it has everything a family needs at an affordable cruising motor yacht. I wouldn't mind having this on the end of the garden, nick.
If the covers of the sink are placed in such a way that they completely cover the electrical outlets, oil etc. droplets that will splash from the food cooked on the stove will not contaminate them. The refrigerator in the kitchen is small, it is better to replace the cupboard in the living room with a refrigerator of that size instead, and a dishwasher can be put in place of the small refrigerator. In the master cabin, the bed can be extended a little more (towards the door) and the rear part becomes a cupboard. While sleeping, feet point towards the door
Nick another interesting boat! This is a very nice family boat with some decent provision storage. But when you showed the aft section and pointed to the storage area on the starboard side I thought have them put a plywood panel from the chine to the engine box and pop in a drawer style fridge and freezer one on each side if possible and now you can cruise for longer. Also could they provision additional fuel there? One 25 to 50 gallon tank on port and starboard filling that hull slope to the engine box and you would still have room for storage above...
I like that, a big fan of deck salons and this new one has some very neat design ideas great to see a new builder coming in with such innovative stuff. Great tour as always.
Reminds me (a little) of the Nordhave 41 (my dream boat) at half the price but sadly a lower CE Rating. But a lovely boat for the East Coast of the States and possible Great Loop Boat. Well done Nick.
A great boat in "good" price! Is there an option to merge 2 side cabins into one full beam master cabin? If that is possible, this boat will at par with boats costing 2x its price.
Storage for the sink tops is a good indicator of attention to detail. I am not a fan of beds ( bunks) that are wall to wall. Why do some boat builders try to squeeze as many sleeping spaces as they can. Is the single engine off of the centerline ?? Why ? Very nice.
Impressed with the level of thought and attention to detail. I could see myself owning one. Unfortunately, my bank manager is blind. 😞I would prefer cabins 2 and 3 (can't quite believe that in a 40 footer) to be two singles, but otherwise, I love it. And I just remembered about the bogs, sorry heads, I think what they've done makes sense. I'm not one for "en suite" in boats anyway, it's a big waste of space IMO.

Many comments here call this a small boat, that makes me wonder really as I consider a 40 footer a big boat. In any case these kinds of boats are more to my taste, I like to do long cruises at slower speeds rather than travelling at high speed and then spending lots of time at anchor. But at my age I have time, would be different if I was still in the rat race. Very practical boat. Excellent design. I love the three cabin, and particularly the two wet head layout and design...particularly when someone REALLY needs the toilet, or if one toilet ever gets blocked. Seems very risky thought, to not have a secondary engine for any type of blue water or costal boating. Wow, now that's a lot of boat for the money! What a great family cruiser. There's a lot of really smart design work gone on here, although I probably would choose to still have one of the heads en suite, if it were an option. Some of the paneling has clearly been done to a budget, but hey, the less they spend the less you pay! I especially love the 'sundeck' and the forward seating area. A good spot this one, Nick, thanks!
