I didn’t think I was going to like this Nordhaven, but I actually do. Very very well put together, great redundancy, easy access. Just a great boat for the price.
I just love Nordhavn, these are the "Tonka" toy of the ocean, built like a tank and will never fail you. Even though this is a smaller size it is not compromised anywhere in quality or space, great flow and layout to it and as always the engine room is brilliant. Great tour as always Nick thank you.
While watching one of Nick's recent videos I was thinking "man, it feels like it's almost time for a Nodhavn again" - very glad that was the case! I always love how solid the build looks, and how practical and accessible all of the utility areas always are. The 2 cabin configuration worked great in this one, and the day head was a pleasant surprise as well. With the larger hull windows (bow) and the extra head (aft), it's nice to see the balance between accommodation needs while staying true to first principles of seaworthiness. Loved it, thanks again!
I love a Nordhavn. It's probably my choice of yacht if I had the money. I like the go anywhere with them. Thank you as always for taking us on a tour of her Nick
Thanks Nick! What a great tour!! And yes - the N51 is a proper little ship! In the "new line-up" (N41, N51, N625, and N71) this is the smallest truly Nordhavn - to me! The N41 and the N59CP is not really oceangoing... but the N51 is a really Nordhavn, with all the DNA of its ocean crossing siblings. Actually Hull No. 01 has their own YT channel - very much worth a view!! They are a must for any trawler enthusiast (Awanui NZ) where they portrait life on the N51 on their way from the shipyard in Turkey to their home in NZ (They are not there yet!!!! at all) but that channel really gives you an insight into what Nordhavn does for their customers, also if you buy "the small one". Really worth a look. But you Nick, as always - gives us a proper tour of the boat, thank you1
It's 06:45 on a very cold and very wet dreary Sunday morning and this has just brought out some sunshine at the star of my day. Many thanks Nick, always enjoy a Nordhavn show around especially a new model.
Truly great "let's get out of here" boat. Doesn't try to cram too much in, just comfortable space for 2 couples to enjoy. Love the bridge bunk, sometimes you just want a nap. I am glad to see 2 bigger engines. Thanks, Nick, as always, a great tour.
@@shanedavis9166 You haven't tried a Bearing Yacht yet. Bearing yacht's make that yacht looked like a bath tub not talking about size I'm talking about quality of build the equipment on board it's at a whole different level
Lovely!! And I thought for a minute that we weren't going to get a mirror wave in this edition, but right as I was about to huff and puff in disbelief, there it was haha
The more "mature" I get, the more I love the design of the Nordhavn. I love my Boston Whaler center console fishing rig, but I can absolutely see the value in a "little ship" design. And the Nordhavn really does it the proper way.
Norahavn is such a well known yacht brand, and exploring yacht. For old and young sailors, family boats, time explore at your own speed. If you want to stay longer in the bay long fine. She is a lovely boat with plenty of storage, plenty of space, comfortable with safety in mind. Norahavn 51 is enough for 4 people to sail around the world. I like her very much.
If I ever I win the lottery a Nordhaven is on my wish list! I have been following the 51’s hull number one on TH-cam she was purchased by a New Zealand couple, built in Turkey and their vlogs are showing them sail the boat back to New Zealand. The vlogs include a lot of the build of the boat if it’s something your interested in look for Arwanui NZ.
@@squishygothdude you can add one it is set up for it. Hull 1 has added one. N41 and N51 as production boats were kept a bit basic but allow for after delivery additions. A water maker is an excellent addition for those who will be ocean crossing or going to more remote places.
I'm pleased to see they've put two 'proper' engines in this. No matter how reliable, I don't think I'd have been comfortable with one main & one wing engine. Having said that, a beautiful little ship
Fantastic Nordhavn. A lovely explorer yacht. Thanks Nick. Just to say great to see you twice on Sunday. In the afternoon after your midday video, Loon released their Monaco entrance into the yacht show. Watching then you suddenly appeared this time being interviewed by Capt Paul. Excellent.
Ooh I love a Nordhaven! Since is almost thanksgiving in the states I'd like to follow their lead and give thanks for all the brilliant content you've shared this year. You make coffee break times far more exciting! 👍
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir when you have the word Nordhavn featured in the title of the episode who cares, hey it's a Nordhavn. Nick I'm so glad I only take part of the Aquaholic Bingo drinking game on Fridays and Sundays episodes because if I did on this one I'd be four sheets to the wind with just using two phrases "classic Nordhavn" and "a proper Nordhavn" so got to thank you for posting this one on a Tuesday cheers, all the best from Cornwall 🤗🖖✌️
Love a "Little ship" Nordhavn, thought most new builds were going away from those silly double action door and draw catches, they would drive me mad. Another great video Nick, thanks.
Hi Nick, And what a treat you give us this time the brand new Nordhavn 51 what a beautiful ship its is WOW and a new one in your collection with a open space cockpit with a cozy but compact salon/dining and a open galley in the back the bridge with a commanding view below in the bow a nice side cabin ensuite the other one in the middle also ensuite both suite as a master bed room hard to choose Thank you Nick what a show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐
I think these might just be my favourite boat , maybe a close second after a Targa for budgetary reasons but if I had the money to spend it would definately be on one of these . Another classic Nordhaven video, thanks Nick .
That’s a hell of an engine space for a 50’ boat, combined with a decent amount of general storage space and huge range. Always impressed with Nordhavn’s redundancy planning and of course your presentation.
Cracking video Nick, as you know I'm a massive fan of Nordhavn and they have outdone themselves this time. $2,000,000 seems like an absolute bargain. Still think about the Arksen as that was something else but this is a fifth of the price and truly stunning. I hope the owner has many adventures on their new "little ship". 👍🏴
Now, This design is quite actually superb. Great single skipper, or couple mini ship. I could see using this to explore and take small islands in the name of the Queen. Woohoo...
Thank you, Sir. Another very interesting yacht. It's for sure my personal impression, but I had the idea that the general decoration (accommodation and furniture) were different and more refined, in the same 51 size previous Nordhavn ships.
Nick, great tour of a solid passagemaker. Compact but the spaces are definitely livable for long periods. A lovely couple who bought one of the first 51's have a wonderful TH-cam channel I think called Awanui NZ or similar. They have roamed all over the Med during the summer and now the husband is taking the boat singlehanded to England and across the Atlantic. Very watchable. I can see why Nordavn has sold quite a few of these 51's.
Great tour! Beautiful little ship! This is the first one i've seen with 2 full engines. I wonder if it's a feature that will become more common. I like the separated cabins. The wood in the salon is unusually gorgeous!
the perfect combo of small enough to manage with 2 people (even one person) but capable of the big distances. I understand that the options list is almost non existent, you get everything included (except tender). i watch Mark and Fiona on their Awanui NZ channel who bought hull number one. it makes great viewing.
Great tour, as usual. I've been following a TH-cam channel called "Awanui NZ" who are a New Zealand couple who bought hull number one (I think) of the N51. They are sailing it from Turkey back to New Zealand, it's a great watch.
Hi Nick, great review and indeed Nordhavn never disappoint on the quality of the build. I actually follow the couple that owns the first one. These boats look amazing, and compact enough for couples to handle on their own. I do however get the feeling a lot was squeezed into a small pace to make this work.
YT channel MV Freedom with Shawn and Elizabeth (Nordhavn 45) is a good practical channel when it comes to this type of boat. Both have their captain licence and Shawn is also a naval engineer. They recommend to only buy a boat with two toilets and to avoid boats with wood on the outside railings because of maintenance issues. They were the first to experiment with Starlink on a vessel and made a special episode about it. These Nordhavns are really only for people who are technically very adept and can repair/maintain all systems like Shawn does. That couple saves a bucket of money by being able to do their own repairs and maintenance.

I am a huge fan of Aquaholic. But Nick for the first time ever I have to criticise a bit. Nordhaven galleys are the heart of the boats and you basically skipped it this time. It has so much to offer for long distance cruising and you kept opening those empty storage spaces instead of showing the details of super galley. What happened?
No, we never get tired of Nordhaven. You do the best boat reviews on TH-cam, Nick. Always enjoyable.
You're very kind 🙂
What I love about Nordhavn is that they actually feel like boats. Not just mansions with a hull, like so many other yachts. This is a *boat* .
One of the reasons I love your channel is BECAUSE you point out the obvious. The detail you provide is second to none.
Thank you!
Proper tour this one. I could almost imagine myself standing at the flybridge helm making way for some isolated anchorage. Thanks Nick.

You need to do a meet the owner interview with Mark who has the first Nordhaven 51, his channel on here is great - Awanui NZ
well the owners wife has call their ship "Always something" - read that as a lot of constant problems, mailfunctions repairs etc.
