Also, honestly miracles do come true. My parents accept me now and that’s something that I wouldn’t ever thought would happen. Just keep the future in mind and hope and pray to god that your parents will accept you and it will happen
my girlfriend didn't feel comfortable or safe enough to transition until she was 39. She had such bad body dismorphia that she barely left the house. I saved up as much as I could for her to have a makeover and professional photo shoot so that she could see what I saw. All her friends chipped in so that we could get multiple photos, she had fun, but it wasn't until she sat back and looked at the raw photos (before touch ups) that she really saw herself. I saw this again in each of these beautiful prom stars faces. That look that says, "finally. I look like me." I cried then, and I cried now. Thank you.

I’ve rewatched this video so many times and honestly I never get tired of it, it makes me really think I could have a somewhat enjoyable experience at prom. Over the past two years I’ve watched this video and looked at all of these gorgeous people and they inspired me to be myself and be confident with who I am. With other influences as well as personal insight I have been more open with my friends and peers and I even met the person I believe is my soulmate, this video that seemed insignificant to me at first really contributed to my life. I know that sounds crazy but It’s true and I really thank BuzzFeed for this video and everyone in it who helped me to really become me. :)
Am I the only one who's actually getting extremely emotional from these Queer Prom videos? It's just so emotional for me because I haven't even told my family how I feel yet, and I've only told my three best friends about it (one of those three also being my girlfriend which they also don't know about). I see that these amazing people are being themselves despite what anyone else thinks, and their families aren't judging them. It's really making me think about telling people about how I feel. I can see how happy they are by being themselves and I want to be like them. I think Quinn, or should I say Gwen, is one of the biggest inspirations to me now because she isn't afraid to be herself. My grandma won't accept me as trans and says I can never transition until I'm 18 and out of the house. I'm so afraid that I'll never transition and I'll never be able to be myself at prom. I'm so scared. This honestly made me cry and I wish I could go to prom in high school wearing a suit and tie and on T and called Devin and he/him and just being the best guy there. My grandma won't accept me as trans and says I can never transition until I'm 18 and out of the house. I'm so afraid that I'll never transition and I'll never be able to be myself at prom. I'm so scared. This honestly made me cry and I wish I could go to prom in high school wearing a suit and tie and on T and called Devin and he/him and just being the best guy there. I'm so proud of everyone in this video. I really can't help but cry. ❤️
