Fr. Joseph Puthanpurackal, a well-known and highly regarded individual on social media, was born on May 15, 1961, in Valiyathovala, Idukki District. He obtained degrees in philosophy and law and became a member of the Capuchin Order in 1980. He successfully finished his theological education at Caritas Capuchin College Kottayam.On December 26, 1993, Joseph Puthanpurackal was ordained as a priest. He has dedicated his service as a meditation guru in Thiruvananthapuram, Bharanganam, and Uzhavoor. Additionally, he held the position of director at the Assisi Contemplative Temple. Currently, he serves as the Provincial Superior of the Kottayam St. Joseph Province within the Capuchin Order.He has delivered many lectures on personality development, family relationships and other socially relevant topics in various countries.
Joseph was the district secretary of Kerala Congress when he was a student. But with the party’s split, he lost interest in politics and turned to priesthood..
