Modern gaming is like a modern casino, bunch of lights and flashing stuff to appeal to your dopamine but you're not actually achieving much. I went back and tried CoD after the last one I played being the original MW2. The level of just spamming keys and autoaim was insane, you basically had no input and just zoomied around aiming at stuff.
And there is still no mods? I have a ps5 and a gamer pc but if do mods not on ps5 i dont know wich platform i choose, i like modern days guns and military things, this things not on ps5?
@@kalogmbro there's literally over a thousand mods for it. When your in the game menu, click in the menu option that says "Workshop". You're mind will be blown.
By the way, Iam glad more people find this game and support Bohemia as they care about the community and their game. Reforger is awesome, and can’t wait for Arma 4
I try so hard to get into it, it’s just slightly overwhelming and I have three kids so playing with a mic is damn near impossible for me so I can’t communicate with others. I would love to be able to get into it though
The lack of any slide canceling, bunny hopping, cracked out of your mind gameplay is so refreshing to see. I come from Battlefield after many years but after 2042 tried so hard to be COD i jumped ship and need to get on this.

I love this game on PS5. You learn as you go and ask people questions. Just jump in a vehicle an ride with somebody who knows whats going on and you'll pick it up quickly
Ive been enjoying the P V AI custom modes with a game master creating the battles. We are all on the same team trying to take objectives as the gamemasters throw different scenerios at us. A good server is casual ops 2.. cool people good vibes.
How come all streamers seem to all push the same game at the same time with some side story like they are the ones whom have found this special game, Milk it show us it all before we actually play it then bounce. nobody wants to talk about it or take any responsibility.
Exactly what I was thinking. My feed keeps filling with Arma Reforger from milsim tubers. I've played it before, there is next to no content. It's Bohemia getting more money from it's playerbase as if a decade of Arma 3 wasn't enough for them to know what Arma 4 should have in it. It seams a lot tubers have taken to getting money from companies or plan to without disclosing it.
How man? I bought it and was getting like 20-25 frames stutter and just the servers hard to find a good one and everything I ended up returning it and went back to HLL I really wanna love it tho! (On series x as well)
Arma reforger is a good game to get into milsim too, your not locked into a role like hell let loose or squad, your pretty much free to choose the role you want to play and customize it however youd like too
ive had all the big milsim games on pc for over a year now. but my pc was never good enough to run them, i finally built my new pc like 5 months ago and arma, 3 squad, reforger ect has been the most fun in gaming ive had since i was like 8 getting my xbox one for christmas
Just a small correction to the statement about "Arma Reforger" being the only Milsim on console. Arma Reforger isn't the only Milsim on console. There a little game called Hell Let Loose thats been out on console for years which is also a Milsim (WWII). Should probably be careful making misleading statements like that, or if you didn't know Hell Let Loose excited, doing a little research to verify you're making an accurate statement help. Anyway, great video. I've been play Arma Reforger on PS5 for the past 4 days and have been having a blast. And so far the community has been great. I played with some PC players for 3 hours last night. They obviously knew more about the game than I did, so I just fell in line and let them lead while I learned and did whatever I could do to help out the squad be successful which would help out Platoon be successful. We did everything from running supplies, setting up a mobile spawn points, recon, sabotaging main supply routes, and of course making attacks on key POIs. We were on the big map. After 3 hours the Conquest match was still going on but it was 2am and 6am was coming quick. Fantastic video. Hopefully Sony pulls whatever stick they have up their ass out and allows mods on PS5.
As a 14 year old I will say if you are a younger player trying to get into milsim and want to join a community or clan and you see they have an age requirement just talk to someone from there. Most clans or groups that I have seen just look for maturity and will say that it is there to filter out the less serious players that just downloaded whatever game.
I think its awesome people check out more tactical milsim games, but they need to know its more about the overal gameplay and not kills and kd. As well if there new try to learn tactics and teamwork
unfortunatly i think the basic attention span and time of investment in games for the casual gamer, games like arma, tarkov, squads etc. are way to hard to get into, easy to learn, hard to master. You basically play a running sim for the first 10 hours before you somewhat get it, thats too long for most and theyll quit before

Definitely a good way to learn to lead. Sounds a little stupid, I know but when your bold enough and start making decisions it can also help you be more confident in your capabilities.
You have to cap the pink bases each is one point and the max number you need is the top right number between the factions arland there’s only 2 cause it’s a small island and Everon you need 5 and there like 8 pink bases
Im very tempted in trying this game, but honestly it worries me to pick it up and then months later Arma 4 releases... Right now reforger has a lack of moda but has a bit of everything right? Sp, coop, dayz survival stuf and so on?
coming from pubg and hell let loose, this game is fucking fantastic. having a blast with my friends, the community is great. the lighting, the immersion, its beautiful.
I feel like these games are a bit harder to enjoy if you don't have a group of friends to bring with you, but also the playerbase tends to be quite social on comms so it might be possible to meet people in game... Might pick it up. Right now I'm kind of on the extraction shooter addiction though.
I've been playing 2.5 years and I don't have a group. Just team up with randoms most times and it works really well. Over time I got to know some of the regulars and team up with them from time to time. It's great - get into it! :)
@@Pentaground I've played most of them. Started with Vigor, moved on to Arena Breakout and now I mostly play Delta Force. I also tried Marauders, I'd love it if it had more players. And even though I recognize its terrible, I sometimes play Lost Light just because its got a solo queue.

I’ve been loving Enlisted again. I put it into the “sim-cade” genre because while it is casual, it has sim elements that blends well with the core gameplay. Plus it’s free. I’m still hesitant on a $40 game

started on fast paced FPS and went to tactical/military sims. now the fast paced FPS feels too fast or arcadey to me. even started to replay COD, and same feeling lol

Join a "newbie friendly" server, get treated like absolute scum by your teammates. Like dude, i'm fucking trying lol. Listening them yell at everyone else made me feel not singled out, but fucking seriously guys
@TactiGamer highly recommend. The narrative is that it's expensive amd/or pay to win. It isn't. You can get full access for the same or less money than AAA titles. Have a great 2025.
Hey I'm an Xbox player and I've been playing arma reforger since a few days after it came out, it had a bit of a rocky start where you would crash every minute and stuff but now it's so much better and with the addition of new content (mortars coming soon can't wait) it's going to get even better BUT recently I've been having a problem and it's playstation players, yesterday I was driving in a truck with my friend and we were just casually talking in Xbox party chat when a playstation player turns on his radio and starts saying racial slurs over and over for about 10 seconds and then later we were running supplies and didn't have room for anyone and as I drove by some people I didn't stop and they started shooting at the truck and on the way back we passed them again. My friend didn't make it, I tried!! But there was so much blood and I didn't have any bandages left.
tbh i think the use of discord and other out of game comunications while the game has a intergrated proximity chat that the enemy can hear too is basically cheating
I haven’t been interested in a single arcade shooter since battlefield 3. They’re all the same to me at this point, just reskinned and overhyped. I would rather spend money on building a PC to enjoy gaming again, than play the next arcade shooter. And that’s exactly what I did, I tossed my consoles and built a pc. I miss the exclusives but even they’ll be released on pc eventually.
Don’t try to actually milsim in these games though, those nerds suck at the game. How the dudes in the video are playing is the only correct way to play, isolating from the rest of the team with your bros on discord.
Tacti , I would love to , but being a guy who can't buy games and squad , arma reforger and the rest are 40$+ is too much for me , not talking about tarkov being wayy more than that and it's being m'y fav game even tho I can't get it 👍🏻
Not really it definitely feels distinct when you play it. There isn't really roles that you spawn in as so the way your game goes isn't really set you can be running logistics and then suddenly you can be playing combat medic if you know what you're doing and find bandages etc.
Just get your mic on and pretend you’re a soldier out there with the bois. Most fun I’ve had is having deep chats with randoms as we ride for 10min in a buggy only to get blown up right after
If anything Squad 44 is more of a milsim than HLL. I tried HLL once and went into a server full of people not playing the game but just constructing and deconstructing stuff for what i assume was to grind xp, which sounds silly for a 'milsim'

The only reason mods aren't on playstation is because sony is incredibly scared of hackers LOL because they have literally the worst security flaws ever.

@jeremyhohlbein332 thats not the case, its because people literally used mods to backdoor the ps3 and ps4 which caused back to back outages/hacks. That's why they restricted mods in skyrim and fallout and other moddable games. They're going to more than likely restrict what mods can be downloaded on ps5

They have nodded servers and non molded serves for ps5 as we don't have workshop yet that is the case the mods crash the server when you got a bunch of them and mods aren't the problem they are added through workshop and make the game fun I can't wait for workshop to come out so I can play modded servers
Try Milsim, you won’t regret it. Except most people will regret it, because they will buy the game, join solo some random server, then there will be crickets in comms and they will just run around for a while doing nothing and getting bored out of their minds. Sorry dude, but you completely forgot to show them how to find a group of people to play with. Without it the chance of them finding some milsim game fun is dangerously close to zero.

Try Milsim... drop your radio... :D There is a huge problem with the proxymity voice chat (Thanks Sony), but otherwise you are missing out of communications and you are separated from the other squads of the team. Very Milsim...
You can turn off the radio if you tap G or the button that changes your frequencies. Also if the enemy has your radios they can hear team chatter its pretty awesome honestly. I love the espionage you can do
Not just the noise, but if you use the proxychat your name will appear on the screen for everyone else in 30 meters. Even if you just accidentally press the the button or your mic turns on it will alert the enemies of your presence. Vice versa.
1) hot key 6 and tap "R" to bandage (by default) 2) NE-VER drop your radio. If you really need to shut everyone up for a minute hotkey "G" mouse over the platoon channel then hotkey "R" should turn it off. 3) Dropping your radio means that if youre approaching a point and you have teammates that arent observant or lack intelligence (which...some of them lack so much intelligence they drop their radios, go figure) you will not be able to communicate to them that youre a friendly and to tell their unobservant selves to stop shooting at you. these are just the 3 pointers from the first 10 minutes, after you said, "drop your radio" I stopped watching cause its probably the worst advice you could ever give anyone.
@@TactiGamer Dont get salty if you teamkill someone because you couldnt hear them and they decide to teamkill you repeatedly because you were dumb enough to drop your radio then I guess. Ive been playing since release, I dont hear racial slurs as often as you seem to claim. Maybe you need to find better servers.
@@Pentaground it does, when youre close enough to them (maybe 20 meters). Its a mil sim bro, youre not supposed to be able to realistically tell until youre well within engagement range. Tell me you can make out all the details of a persons face beyond 20 meters. How about just dont drop your radio. Or just dont cry when get banned cause you either teamkill or get teamkilled cause you cant hear the radio. Both are solutions one gives way more enjoyment for everyone. If Op is having issues with slurs, there are servers that are heavily moderated that dont have them, sounds like he perpetually finds a bad server. I hear maybe 1 every 2 weeks. Its not as bad as hes making it out to be.

I love Reforger, but CoD players always be using all our darn resources early on, then get toxic when I call them out for doing it. 💀

Are you looking at both official and community servers? Not everything should be full - there are LOADS of servers
Seach for a server called "casual Op" casual ops #1 is pVP and casual Ops #2 is PvE . Both a fun but I prefer the PVE matches

Hey I'm an Xbox player and I've been playing arma reforger since a few days after it came out, it had a bit of a rocky start where you would crash every minute and stuff but now it's so much better and with the addition of new content (mortars coming soon can't wait) it's going to get even better BUT recently I've been having a problem and it's playstation players, yesterday I was driving in a truck with my friend and we were just casually talking in Xbox party chat when a playstation player turns on his radio and starts saying racial slurs over and over for about 10 seconds and then later we were running supplies and didn't have room for anyone and as I drove by some people I didn't stop and they started shooting at the truck and on the way back we passed them again. My friend didn't make it, I tried!! But there was so much blood and I didn't have any bandages left.

tbh i think the use of discord and other out of game comunications while the game has a intergrated proximity chat that the enemy can hear too is basically cheating
I haven’t been interested in a single arcade shooter since battlefield 3.
They’re all the same to me at this point, just reskinned and overhyped.
I would rather spend money on building a PC to enjoy gaming again, than play the next arcade shooter.
And that’s exactly what I did, I tossed my consoles and built a pc.
I miss the exclusives but even they’ll be released on pc eventually.
Don’t try to actually milsim in these games though, those nerds suck at the game. How the dudes in the video are playing is the only correct way to play, isolating from the rest of the team with your bros on discord.
Tacti , I would love to , but being a guy who can't buy games and squad , arma reforger and the rest are 40$+ is too much for me , not talking about tarkov being wayy more than that and it's being m'y fav game even tho I can't get it 👍🏻

Not really it definitely feels distinct when you play it. There isn't really roles that you spawn in as so the way your game goes isn't really set you can be running logistics and then suddenly you can be playing combat medic if you know what you're doing and find bandages etc.

No they don't. I've been playing since day 1 and 95% of the time is with complete randoms. It usually works out pretty well
Just get your mic on and pretend you’re a soldier out there with the bois. Most fun I’ve had is having deep chats with randoms as we ride for 10min in a buggy only to get blown up right after

@TactiGamer I kinda like the ww2 weapons cause they're a little clunky, just makes the game feel more real imo. Plus hll has one shot kills!
If anything Squad 44 is more of a milsim than HLL. I tried HLL once and went into a server full of people not playing the game but just constructing and deconstructing stuff for what i assume was to grind xp, which sounds silly for a 'milsim'

ive been playing arma reforger since release... on pc. its not that great also cant find anyone that is a helpful teammate that will put in teamwork.
COD players can stick to COD tbh lol dont want people in this game exploiting glitches, trying to do 360 no scopes, using all the resources to get a truck and not wait for anyone else at spawn...HLL still has this problem!!!
cod players will start the game but wont want to do the tutorial or learn the game, get frustrated and just end up team killing at spawn to troll!!

The only reason mods aren't on playstation is because sony is incredibly scared of hackers LOL because they have literally the worst security flaws ever.
Mods are litterally coming to ps 😂😂😂 on the next update for arma it's more because consoles can't handle all the mods like a pc can without problems or crashing
@jeremyhohlbein332 thats not the case, its because people literally used mods to backdoor the ps3 and ps4 which caused back to back outages/hacks. That's why they restricted mods in skyrim and fallout and other moddable games. They're going to more than likely restrict what mods can be downloaded on ps5

They have nodded servers and non molded serves for ps5 as we don't have workshop yet that is the case the mods crash the server when you got a bunch of them and mods aren't the problem they are added through workshop and make the game fun I can't wait for workshop to come out so I can play modded servers

Except most people will regret it, because they will buy the game, join solo some random server, then there will be crickets in comms and they will just run around for a while doing nothing and getting bored out of their minds.
Sorry dude, but you completely forgot to show them how to find a group of people to play with. Without it the chance of them finding some milsim game fun is dangerously close to zero.

Hell let lose is not mil slim its just ww2 and there is a time a limit on it its trash compared to arma reforger arma reforger is the only milslim on ps4 doesnt have a time limit the game doesn hold your hand and the a game can last 11 hours long and the only goal being to capture everon and run logistics to supply your team ive been enjoying this more rhen any other shooter and its a damn shame the road call of duty went down

There is a huge problem with the proxymity voice chat (Thanks Sony), but otherwise you are missing out of communications and you are separated from the other squads of the team. Very Milsim...

You can turn off the radio if you tap G or the button that changes your frequencies. Also if the enemy has your radios they can hear team chatter its pretty awesome honestly. I love the espionage you can do
The most optimal way to play is dropping the radio period and using discord, I’m sorry but any unnecessary noise is not your friend in these games.
Not just the noise, but if you use the proxychat your name will appear on the screen for everyone else in 30 meters. Even if you just accidentally press the the button or your mic turns on it will alert the enemies of your presence. Vice versa.

1) hot key 6 and tap "R" to bandage (by default)
2) NE-VER drop your radio. If you really need to shut everyone up for a minute hotkey "G" mouse over the platoon channel then hotkey "R" should turn it off.
3) Dropping your radio means that if youre approaching a point and you have teammates that arent observant or lack intelligence (which...some of them lack so much intelligence they drop their radios, go figure) you will not be able to communicate to them that youre a friendly and to tell their unobservant selves to stop shooting at you.
these are just the 3 pointers from the first 10 minutes, after you said, "drop your radio" I stopped watching cause its probably the worst advice you could ever give anyone.

@@TactiGamer Dont get salty if you teamkill someone because you couldnt hear them and they decide to teamkill you repeatedly because you were dumb enough to drop your radio then I guess. Ive been playing since release, I dont hear racial slurs as often as you seem to claim. Maybe you need to find better servers.

@@Pentaground it does, when youre close enough to them (maybe 20 meters). Its a mil sim bro, youre not supposed to be able to realistically tell until youre well within engagement range. Tell me you can make out all the details of a persons face beyond 20 meters. How about just dont drop your radio. Or just dont cry when get banned cause you either teamkill or get teamkilled cause you cant hear the radio. Both are solutions one gives way more enjoyment for everyone.
If Op is having issues with slurs, there are servers that are heavily moderated that dont have them, sounds like he perpetually finds a bad server. I hear maybe 1 every 2 weeks. Its not as bad as hes making it out to be.
