"What do I need to fix about myself?" vs "What am I willing to contribute?" Brilliant way of shifting our attention to what matters!

Fantastic !!! As a meditation teacher/practitioner and a recovering seeker/fixer of self, I’ve found what Maria is saying to be useful in a living experience of living from a different state of consciousness that affords me so much purpose, peace, fulfillment. Thank you 🙏🏾

I appreciate this reframe so much and since learning from Maria I have shifted my life for the better. I love to check in daily with myself with this question so as to catch myself from the 'driven do do do' approach that I'm very familiar with. Now I am more clear where I focus my attention and I have tools to support me to back to contribution and ease when I am overdoing the day without any sense of grace. Thank you Maria and Academy for Coaching Excellence!

We all know it. All seems simple. And yet we do nothing about it. Take her class. She showed me ways that successfully pushed me to do it!

I love this question. Would it be okay with you if life got a little easier? I ask this question to my daughters (teenagers now). It certainly makes them think. Thank you for showing us what success really means. No one has ever given me such a powerful definition of success! It certainly shows someone how to focus their life! Thank you!

I am so grateful for the question pointing me toward, What do I want to be known for? This helps me shape my actions and focus my attention upon something that opens to door to so much possibility on a daily basis. It helps me frame what I am up to and continue to shine a light on what is really at the heart of the question so I can take aligned action toward it!

Three step formula to think of before wanting to fix yourself (ontology vs psychology).
    1) Think of someone that you admire
    2) Think of 2-3 qualities of that person
    3) Contribute it in the moment (e.g. with a friend or boss)
And what do you want to be known for, for your dreams or for your dramas?

Maria is such an inspiration! She made me take a min and analyze who I am and showed me some tools I could use in my everyday life. Looking forward to take your online courses.

What do people I admire focus on? What are they talking about? ANSWER: They were interested in making a CONTRIBUTION. Brilliant!!!

Just reread both your books. You are so good at what you do. I want to see you with Oprah.

Ooo I really thought I was gonna get something great. She had me going lol
If I dedicate all my time to others, it ends with me being used up and judge any time I even remotely discuss my own situation. I’ve done this so many times and it’s made me realize that it’s just sinking me further and creating expectations others will put on me to basically be fake all the time and never ever talk about anything that isn’t rainbows. This is toxic positivity and spreading yourself thin or overthinking is no picnic but I’m never gonna try this tactic again lol. It just is me going around pleasing others and coming home to neglected chaos that no one even knows about cause it’s too negative to even mention.
