    Awesome! I'm currently in the process of restoring 2 sets of the same exact wheels. I was going to just reuse my old hardware because I haven't been able to find good replacements. Any chance you could share a link to your hardware source? I tried looking up what you said but couldn't find it...

    Awesome bro... I am building me a set 17x12 all around.... do you need longer hardware to bolt them together? If so can you give me the dimensions of the hardware you are running

      Zane Romero you have to have 5 - 4mm machined off the backside of the face where the bolts go, then you can use typical hardware

    You didn't add a clear coat?

    Question where exactly did you shave the 4mm and why ?

  • @For3v3rLove2

    Isn't it going to rust? or whatever the term is when aluminum oxidizes? Don't you need a clear coat or no? Or is that what mother's is for, iguess that is the layer of protection??

    Last Sunday I saw a dark blue e30 down here in Clear Lake and pointed it out to the wife and girls. It was beautiful and they want me to build one. hang in there, I'm sure yours will be beautiful.

    Did I understand that you ended up buying custom outer barrels for the rears? Even though you originally planned to build them each from 2 style 5 inner barrels? I have very similar plans for my e28, only I'm on more of a budget and they're getting powder coated solid black.

    • @EuroGarageOfficial

      4" Front lips Purchased. The rears are my handmade barrels/lips. That's 99% of the point my dood.

    i can't just assemble and tight the nuts, 3 pieces wheels needs kinda be alignment, in order to make sure the 3 pieces are 100% centralized.

  • @Tim82621
    @Tim82621 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Shouldn’t you put something to seal jn between the piece’s? otherwise all your air will leak out

    • @EuroGarageOfficial
      @EuroGarageOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PVMTERROR some people do. It’s not ideal to have anything on the mating surface though so the norm is seal after assembly.

    • @eidosblau
      @eidosblau 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did the same with my wheels at my 328i e30 and u have to seal it before u assemble them. Otherwise u will not get it airtight.

  • @hectorortega06

    Hey brother, I'm not sure if you know this already, but with the extension added, the torque value will change, which will either increase or decrease. www.engineersedge.com/manufacturing_spec/calculator/torque_adapter_extension.htm check that link out to verify if your torque values are correct. Better safe than sorry.
