software upgrade, doesnt happen without that..i updated my op8 and 9 pro with color os 13 and oxygen 13 and no issues..samsung happens the same..so clearly its software ..the brand should replace for FREE for those who has that.

In my opinion "The Amoled panels which were manufactured around 2020 - 2022 are getting affected by green or pink line issue"I also saw this mentioned by a tech youtuber. I did face this issue in my OnePlus 8 Pro, got free screen replacement and sold it after getting it fixed

not true this issue has been happening from a long time, I have seen this issue in lcd panels in 2018 too the only thing is its getting highlighted nowadays but my issue was cauz of the fall damage but since then i have had 7 8 amoled lcd phones none of them got this issue the thing that has changed is companies doing huge cost cutting in build quality nowadays also most user hide the real cause for free replacement but its mostly due to physical damage or water damage and of course companies are too blame for that because of their poor quality control and cheap build quality

Then make sure your phone is fully charged and after unplugging from the charger
Use it instantly for gaming and other high-end performance based apps
At first I thought my phone wont get the green line
But after pushing the performance as I mentioned above eventually it got the green line

this is a very interesting video, mate! I'm reading every day of green line issue on Oneplus Community app.
In my opinion this problem is caused due to a wrong temperature management in some scenarios through all the updates.
I am a oneplus 8 owner. Still happy with it...hope it holds on😂

My suggestion: while updating to new version please maintain your phone temperature below 39°c and place it under fan or AC
I personally think its kernel side issue when you get updated patches related to performance... Now it's not 100% you get those lights but yes some units will get as sometimes when you drop your phone, there are not 100% chances that this is gonna break, but yes sometimes it gets shattered even if it fells down from 2-3 feet and sometimes nothing happens even from double the height. I guess the way the specific unit is manufactured, it will get affected the same way. But yes, it's a guess
This issue is only with samsung amoled not other brand's amoled... Check total history of each Device getting this Line

My oneplus 8 pro also get green line on 13july2023, after that when i turn on always on display my whole screen turn into green then i turn it off back to normal but green line issue is still present

When Updating maybe the kernel doesnt work properly with panel fw or voltage regulation is not done properly as compared when the device is fully booted and running

I too got free replacement in Kolkata, it's not software issue, according to me I haven't updated my OnePlus 8T since very long
This issue has been found primarily on amoled panels made by Samsung. Those made by tianma company are not having this problem.
From what I've heard, these issues happen only in India which also means made in india products. We have seen the some Indian made nothing products having poor quality control.
as a OP user in a country where there are no service centers i am stacking with Android 11 just cant take the risk of green line when new screen is gonna cost me half of device cost
bro i got the same issue with my one plus 8 T last week i have submitted my phone to indore service center they told me it would tak 1 months as displays are not available still have submitted my phone thinking alteast they are replacing the screen free of cost but when i call today they told we it will more that 3 months and they will keep the phone for complete 3 months also they suggested to sell my phone to them and they will give 24k rs worth one plus cupons you are correct when you say there service center only to make them money never buying one plus device also never suggesting anyone to buy there device

Now standby battery drain increases at 6 to 8 percent and sometimes 10 to 13
But in the previous build it was 3 to 4 max percent...

This issue only occuring on those device which using Samsung amoled panel manufactured in year 21-22 including 8 series, s21 ,s21fe,moto edge 30 and Xiaomi devices also

They fu*king replaced my screen for free but at what cost!! They cracked by back panel near alert slider and they refused to repair it
Same issue happened to me also bro.They cracked the sticker inside my back panel and said it happens because of heat while removing the panel😢

I once went to Samsung Service Center to repair my S20 Ultra and my issue was worse than green line. A few weeks after the green line issue, my screen's display was completely gone, only white display with a little glimpse of my wallpaper. I can click everything but no display. I tried 3 different service branch and one of them said the cause of the issue was the screen was broken (on the inside). Can be because of fall, pressed or overheating (usage or charging issue). They said when the screen broken, on every update, the software refresh all things including the screen. Once they detected the issue, it affects it like that :/

I am using oneplus 8 pro, last Tuesday I faced Green Screen issur (not green line). Even till today jam not even fall my mobile, not having any dents and didn't submerged in water. The whole screen with green color and with flickerings. I didn't got any software update. I thought it was software issue I did resets, downgrades to android 12 and 11... But still jam facing that issue. I am went to service center, they charge me 17k...its not at all small amount. Innocent me, without any wrong from my side Iam did screen replacement.

I have Oneplus 8. 20 days ago I updated my device to June update. there was no issue. But yesterday morning my screen started to flicker. I turned off auto-brightness and restarted my phone, but the problem remains. I'm using dark mode now. It's now less noticeable.

It seem allot of phones in India had these problems with the line on there OnePlus phones and there are factories there in India that make the 1+ phones there , could it be there using a different OLED or amoled panel other than Samsung, cause I have a 1+ 8t t mobile model and I'm in Florida where the temps here have been super hot from 95 degrees to 115 and so far my screen is fine.

My uncle who had OnePlus 8 pro who don't use phone intensively. After updating his phone it stopped working and when we asked OnePlus service center they refused to repare. We are clueless and took that phone to a private repare centre and after a day they called us informed that motherboard is damages.we asked what's that cause of it , he replied he didn't see any physical damage might it cause of software and asked us that we done anything with software like changes the or or anything. We say we just updated.
That's why I go back to OOS 11 (OP9P).

All smartphones display quality is not same so the smartphone with poor display quality will get effected with software updates due to change in voltage and current tweaks in firmware to improve display performance
This is literally only a problem in Asia or something i NEVER seen someone saying about this in North America

Let me tell you something os update has nothing to do with green line. Green lines occurs for manufacturing defect of the amoled panel.

Let me tell you something..you didn't do a good research about it...this problem mostly happens in indian/srilankan side market. We are getting low quality products in here. And this happens because of the heat, after the device got hot the flex cable of the display will loose, mostly this problem can be fixed with flex bonding
That's why I'm always bought Android phones with LCD display.

This is not only oneplus even samsung had motherboard issue after update. My m30s is just in room of no use. Samsung denied free replacement and also after changing motherboard people are getting motherboard issue. My hard earned money wasted.

Do not update while charging phone green line issue cause this
It's because of overheating, when a phone gets updated while charging, it will get really hot which can cause issues (but usually should not)
So far it's been only happening in India, it might be due to lack of quality control since the Indian variant is done in India instead of China unlike everywhere else
But that brings the question why the issue doesn't happen that often on realme/OPPO devices
Simply boycott those device.Dnt buy those particular models.
