I disagree to your statement of not recommending the Nothing Phone (2) in 2024. It was recently on discount on Amazon AU official store at 848 AUD for the 12/256 GB variant. I think it offers a richer Android experience and a better $ value than the Google Pixel 8. The heat management in this phone is so nice and the Snapdragon chip overcomes the test of time by being so fluid. My Nothing Phone (2) just got an update yesterday and it is currently on OS version 2.5.5, which has the Ultra XDR mode and RAM Booster features. The camera UI is not too bad IMO. It allows you to do take all kinds of photos (50MP mode, RAW etc.) which should be enough for 99% of users. I really enjoy its Glyph Timer feature. I used it for timing my pair programming session with my colleague, my afternoon nap and reminding me to get back to my car before I get a parking fine 😂

The Phone2 is NOT a proper flagship. Even at launch it was more of a budget flagship and so compare it with phones in its price range and you'll realise how its still the best option. It's a good recommendation even in the 2024. Price is dropped. After the latest update 2.5.5, the camera and the processing is really good. Even at the launch, it's not a flagship. It is sort of a midrange flagship that always performs reliably.

Great vid but I disagree with the part when you talk about future improvements they need to make. I sincerely hope they don’t do anything on the camera side, simply because I feel there are so many people that do not give a damn about the camera I think I’m not the only one in thinking that TH-cam reviewers are so focused on camera performance and that is not what the average user wants. I’d rather have a flagship phone with average camera performance if it helps drive the price down. For me, it's criminal for OLED phones to still "only" have side print sensors. While it's a fact that those are faster than under screen sensors, anyone who says under screen is slow is just making a mountain out of a molehill. Side sensors are so prone to unintentional touches and unlocks that are more annoying than any millisecond slowness of under screen sensors.

@sam beckman, you might have already answered this but are you going to review three s24 ultra?
Nah he only does the trashy cheapie phones

does anyone know about nothing chats? i understand it’s not on the play store, but does it come on the phone? that’s the dealbreaker for me, so if it’s still there im so down to switching to android from apple. and yes, i know about the security issues, i really could care less
nothing chats is basically dead in the water after the security issue backlash
Side mounted fingerprint sensor is always better in term of response..
Its super fast even in entry level smartphones
For me, it's criminal for OLED phones to still "only" have side print sensors. While it's a fact that those are faster than under screen sensors, anyone who says under screen is slow is just making a mountain out of a molehill. Side sensors are so prone to unintentional touches and unlocks that are more annoying than any millisecond slowness of under screen sensors.
In canada the nothing phone 2 makes no sense compared to the oneplus 12. Theres 70 dollars difference. Theyre not even in the same league.
whats the keyboard at 9:17 ??
I think it's the Nuphy Air75 (Maybe v1, but personally I have the v2 and it is amazing)
Image retention is not the same thing as burn-in
As opposed to just plain 'unique'...
Me watching this as I bought a Nothing 2 on Swappa for $450....hoping I didnt make a bad choice with the 3 coming. But I didnt wanna spend $700+ on a new phone.
3 is not coming till 2025 lol
Love my S22 Ultra
Not better display than the 2 & 2a😂😂😂
Worst phone in terms of repairablity, bought a nothing phone 4 months ago, motherboard crashed last week, the cost of new motherboard is 32k here in india and a new phone was for 29k in sale on 15th july. so basically my 4 months old phone is a piece of brick now. i have to get a new one.
Dafuq! How wasn't it covered under warranty?
And how did it drop to 29k price? Bank offers + Exchange?
@@fenyx2558 water damage
@@fenyx2558 without exchange just bank offers and price drop during July sale
@@fenyx2558 yes bank offers and price drop

Even my 2022 Xiaomi 12x for $400 can film in 8k@24 so there's no excuse for such a low resolution nowadays
Guys i am confused between oneplus 12 r and nothing phone 2

@@pramodmeher6852 pretty expensive 🫰

I cant wait for the phone 3 with hopefully a flagship processor and 60w+ charging
Are we really going to ignore that these phones don't come with their own GALLERY APP, MUSIC PLAYER APP, LIVE WALLPAPER SUPPORT, DULL APP DRAWER AND NO OPTION TO CHANGE THE FINGERPRINT ANIMATION? It's 2024 FFS!
I wonder u can change that
