I noticed something about in Ultra Sun and Moon when team rainbow rocket takes over Aether. I find it weird that Piers is technically and "evil team leader," when his personality is the exact opposite of evil, and he actually helps you, rather than hinders you. He only ever battles you as a Gym Leader, and he apologizes for Team Yell's harassment. Also, a cop stationed outside of Spikemuth even said something about Piers being a nice guy, or at least, liking Piers to some extent.

That drastic change in design for Tabitha still baffles me, since he already had a unique design in the Gen 3 games. All they had to do was modernize the Gen 3 design, not change it so drastically that the character becomes almost impossible to recognize.

I don’t see how Petrel causes a plot hole. When you take him down at the rocker hideout, he then goes to the radio tower as you fight Pryce. You might not just be fighting Pryce, as you can do all 3 gym leaders after the rocker hideout.
There was an old theory that the Triad were originally gonna be the Striation Triplets, and I think that art surfaced around that time. The hairstyles are even similar, with one having swept back bangs like Cilan, one having wilder hair like Chili, and one having a section of hair over his eye like Cress. (Kinda sad it wasn't real, especially since Ash was traveling for a while with Cilan and I'm a sucker for the hero befriending a bad guy trope.)
I agree that they’re fantastic, but for other reasons as well. SwSh is a character-driven plot, the story is less about what the evil people do, but how they affect the people around them. -Leon is quite literally “directionless” because his every move was controlled by Rose, who sponsored him, leaving him functionally unable to direct himself, so he always gets lost. -Hop is constantly changing his team up and trying desperately to surpass his brother because he’s always in his shadow, he has no identity outside of being Leon’s brother -Rose emotionally neglects Bede which leads to Bede acting out for attention and recognition, note Bede’s expensive watch, a common tactic for emotionally neglectful parents/guardians is to shower the child with material gifts to make up for the lack of bond. -Piers attempts to protest Rose’s faulty leadership (pushing Dynamax until the region depends on it despite evidence suggesting it caused a literal apocalypse) and the entire city of Spikemuth suffers for it, leading to Team Yell forming to try and push Marnie into a place of leadership so they can have sway and improve their status -Rose’s misplaced priorities put everyone in danger as he nearly causes an apocalypse over something that wouldn’t be a concern for a thousand years. -Oleana enables Rose’s toxic behavior, never once calling him out when he does really bad things (like forgetting the name of the kid he adopted several years ago) This isn’t the story of the impending apocalypse, it’s the story of why a single person or group should not have absolute power, especially if the guy in charge is a petulant man child
That was cool, but I still wouldn’t call Sw/Sh ‘the best.’ I like the games, but they have no Elite Four. That’s already enough for me to say it’s not ‘the best,’ but that’s just my opinion.
You absolutly missed my personal favourite trivia about the gym leaders. Giovanni's sprite in FireRed and LeafGreen is holding a Masterball, even in the fight in Team Rockes Hideout in Celadon. Given that the Silph Chief once had the potential to be an antagonist himself, it gives an interesting detail about his and Giovanni's realtionship. Ah, and that the president may handed you the prototype of, but not the only one Masterball in the Red/Blue-days. It even fits to the fact that there is one Pokémon the Masterball can't catch in Gen 1: Gjost-Marowak in Pokémon Tower (given you hacked a Masterball in at this point).
What I remember from the Team Rainbow Rocket story, there was a theory that since it was the RSE versions of Maxie and Archie and the tie online Pokemon Generations. I DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS: The theory that I remember is that since in Pokemon Generations when ORAS versions Maxie and Archie were obliterated/eaten respectively from the episodes, that Giovanni of Rainbow Rocket chose the Non-Mega Universe versions of Hoenn because Primal Groudon/Kyogre are too powerful so he chose Maxie and Archie from the RSE universe because base Groudon/Kyogre were easier to tame compared to their Primal Reversions.
Could also be like a thing where they could still find ways to handle the base forms, but while the primal are powerful and therefore desirable, they're Too Powerful and can't be contained so plans with them are always doomed to fail, hence we got the older designs and only base forms
Or it could just be that mega universe Archie/Maxie are dead, and there no version where they don't either fail or die, so Giovanni deemed their non mega universe counterparts the more competent ones. Even if they could control the primal forms, which is possible considering the player can, do you really want the fools who are consistently way in over their heads anywhere near your master plan?
We had Mega Evolution in Gen VI, Z-Moves in Gen VII, and Dynamax/Gigantamax in Gen VIII. It's probably way too early now, but sometime you should do a speculation video on what the gimmick for Gen IX will be (assuming there is a Gen IX and Game Freak doesn't go, "I don't wanna do this poop anymore! I want some tea!").

I have a theory with Team Rainbow Rocket where they used the Leaders of Team Magma and Aqua from the non-Mega World. Is due to the Leaders from the Mega World have been killed by Primal Groudon and Primal Kyorge due to the lack of the Player Character to calm the Ancient Pokemon. This can be backed up with Pokemon Genteraions as the Leader of Aqua awoken Kyorge and turned it into its Primal Form and had no control of it. It ends with Primal Kyogre rushing toward the ship that held Team Aqua foreshadowing that Primal Kyorge murder everyone on that ship. Also before anyone says that Rayquaza would have stopped Groudon/Kyorge, it couldn't in the Mega World as Rayquaza would need to Mega Evolve to beat Primal Groudon/Kyorge and in the Delta Episode, Rayquaza lost the needed energy to Mega Evolve as it needs the Meteor you have in game and the Player doesn't exist in this world.
Another interesting fact regarding the Rocket admins - the first letters of their names all spell PAPA - which could refer to Giovanni as a a father-like figure/leader (though Papa in Italian means Pope or Pontiff). Also one of the Mafia leaders, Michele Greco, was known as Il Papa. Could be linked! Or not at all.
Ariana is fought twice in gen 2 as well, she's the only female admin that we can say that she's the admin before the final admin in the Radio Tower. By the way, I always believed that the last Admin in Radio Tower was the other guy that fights Lance and the player with Ariana... But the remake made me wrong badly :(

Hang on a second Team Yell isn't evil, they are even the villain's. Macro Cosmos is the villain's and they constantly aid you. You seriously learn this right new the league. Piers even gets angry at his followers for trying to stop trainers from challenging him. He is a friend from the get go. SwSh flipped the whole bad guy thing on it's head. It also teaches people appearances aren't everything. He even panics about Marnies safety, he a loving character. He just likes to rebel.
The Macro Cosmos didn’t become a real problem, or a problem at all, until after all eight gyms are beat and the player starts the champion tournament. Team Yell might’ve not been an ‘evil team,’ per se, but unlike the Macro Cosmos, they made their presence known way earlier, like most other evil teams, like Team Rocket or Team Team Flare. The Macro Cosmos are also really forgettable in my opinion, mostly because of what I just said.

Ummm I am so confused about Galars evil, is it team yell, no they dont actually want to awaken legendary pokemon..., is it Rose who awakened Eternatus, no he turned himself in, is it sordward and shieldbert, no they also gave themselfs in so who is it?
Sordward and Shieldbert weren’t part of an evil team, so I can’t say yes to that. Despite Chairman Rose’s scheme, the Macro Cosmos, the supposed evil team that arose leads, as a whole didn’t really show up until after the champion tournament had begun, with the evil scheme’s presence appearing at about the same time, so Team Yell, despite technically not doing anything ‘evil,’ per we, are way more memorable in their impact throughout the game in my opinion.
I think that was all evil groups gen 1-8/9? If not do a fallow up vid about the newer groups in the newer games, unless you coved all here and all that is left is Pokémon Masters, wich hopefully you will do one on Team Break and other villains in it.

That drastic change in design for Tabitha still baffles me, since he already had a unique design in the Gen 3 games. All they had to do was modernize the Gen 3 design, not change it so drastically that the character becomes almost impossible to recognize.

I actually disagree. His design was way too samey within team magma, and I feel making him fat and having a mischievous look really added to his character. I think his design overall just gives him a lot more pomp and charm than magma guy with a slightly different outfit.

I don’t see how Petrel causes a plot hole. When you take him down at the rocker hideout, he then goes to the radio tower as you fight Pryce. You might not just be fighting Pryce, as you can do all 3 gym leaders after the rocker hideout.
There was an old theory that the Triad were originally gonna be the Striation Triplets, and I think that art surfaced around that time. The hairstyles are even similar, with one having swept back bangs like Cilan, one having wilder hair like Chili, and one having a section of hair over his eye like Cress. (Kinda sad it wasn't real, especially since Ash was traveling for a while with Cilan and I'm a sucker for the hero befriending a bad guy trope.)

I agree that they’re fantastic, but for other reasons as well.
SwSh is a character-driven plot, the story is less about what the evil people do, but how they affect the people around them.
-Leon is quite literally “directionless” because his every move was controlled by Rose, who sponsored him, leaving him functionally unable to direct himself, so he always gets lost.
-Hop is constantly changing his team up and trying desperately to surpass his brother because he’s always in his shadow, he has no identity outside of being Leon’s brother
-Rose emotionally neglects Bede which leads to Bede acting out for attention and recognition, note Bede’s expensive watch, a common tactic for emotionally neglectful parents/guardians is to shower the child with material gifts to make up for the lack of bond.
-Piers attempts to protest Rose’s faulty leadership (pushing Dynamax until the region depends on it despite evidence suggesting it caused a literal apocalypse) and the entire city of Spikemuth suffers for it, leading to Team Yell forming to try and push Marnie into a place of leadership so they can have sway and improve their status
-Rose’s misplaced priorities put everyone in danger as he nearly causes an apocalypse over something that wouldn’t be a concern for a thousand years.
-Oleana enables Rose’s toxic behavior, never once calling him out when he does really bad things (like forgetting the name of the kid he adopted several years ago)
This isn’t the story of the impending apocalypse, it’s the story of why a single person or group should not have absolute power, especially if the guy in charge is a petulant man child
That was cool, but I still wouldn’t call Sw/Sh ‘the best.’ I like the games, but they have no Elite Four. That’s already enough for me to say it’s not ‘the best,’ but that’s just my opinion.

You absolutly missed my personal favourite trivia about the gym leaders. Giovanni's sprite in FireRed and LeafGreen is holding a Masterball, even in the fight in Team Rockes Hideout in Celadon. Given that the Silph Chief once had the potential to be an antagonist himself, it gives an interesting detail about his and Giovanni's realtionship. Ah, and that the president may handed you the prototype of, but not the only one Masterball in the Red/Blue-days. It even fits to the fact that there is one Pokémon the Masterball can't catch in Gen 1: Gjost-Marowak in Pokémon Tower (given you hacked a Masterball in at this point).

What I remember from the Team Rainbow Rocket story, there was a theory that since it was the RSE versions of Maxie and Archie and the tie online Pokemon Generations. I DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS:
The theory that I remember is that since in Pokemon Generations when ORAS versions Maxie and Archie were obliterated/eaten respectively from the episodes, that Giovanni of Rainbow Rocket chose the Non-Mega Universe versions of Hoenn because Primal Groudon/Kyogre are too powerful so he chose Maxie and Archie from the RSE universe because base Groudon/Kyogre were easier to tame compared to their Primal Reversions.
Could also be like a thing where they could still find ways to handle the base forms, but while the primal are powerful and therefore desirable, they're Too Powerful and can't be contained so plans with them are always doomed to fail, hence we got the older designs and only base forms
Or it could just be that mega universe Archie/Maxie are dead, and there no version where they don't either fail or die, so Giovanni deemed their non mega universe counterparts the more competent ones.
Even if they could control the primal forms, which is possible considering the player can, do you really want the fools who are consistently way in over their heads anywhere near your master plan?

We had Mega Evolution in Gen VI, Z-Moves in Gen VII, and Dynamax/Gigantamax in Gen VIII. It's probably way too early now, but sometime you should do a speculation video on what the gimmick for Gen IX will be (assuming there is a Gen IX and Game Freak doesn't go, "I don't wanna do this poop anymore! I want some tea!").

To my knowledge, they're the only evil teams to have distinct Poke Balls.

I have a theory with Team Rainbow Rocket where they used the Leaders of Team Magma and Aqua from the non-Mega World. Is due to the Leaders from the Mega World have been killed by Primal Groudon and Primal Kyorge due to the lack of the Player Character to calm the Ancient Pokemon. This can be backed up with Pokemon Genteraions as the Leader of Aqua awoken Kyorge and turned it into its Primal Form and had no control of it. It ends with Primal Kyogre rushing toward the ship that held Team Aqua foreshadowing that Primal Kyorge murder everyone on that ship. Also before anyone says that Rayquaza would have stopped Groudon/Kyorge, it couldn't in the Mega World as Rayquaza would need to Mega Evolve to beat Primal Groudon/Kyorge and in the Delta Episode, Rayquaza lost the needed energy to Mega Evolve as it needs the Meteor you have in game and the Player doesn't exist in this world.
Another interesting fact regarding the Rocket admins - the first letters of their names all spell PAPA - which could refer to Giovanni as a a father-like figure/leader (though Papa in Italian means Pope or Pontiff). Also one of the Mafia leaders, Michele Greco, was known as Il Papa. Could be linked! Or not at all.

The Macro Cosmos didn’t become a real problem, or a problem at all, until after all eight gyms are beat and the player starts the champion tournament. Team Yell might’ve not been an ‘evil team,’ per se, but unlike the Macro Cosmos, they made their presence known way earlier, like most other evil teams, like Team Rocket or Team Team Flare. The Macro Cosmos are also really forgettable in my opinion, mostly because of what I just said.

Ummm I am so confused about Galars evil, is it team yell, no they dont actually want to awaken legendary pokemon..., is it Rose who awakened Eternatus, no he turned himself in, is it sordward and shieldbert, no they also gave themselfs in so who is it?
Sordward and Shieldbert weren’t part of an evil team, so I can’t say yes to that. Despite Chairman Rose’s scheme, the Macro Cosmos, the supposed evil team that arose leads, as a whole didn’t really show up until after the champion tournament had begun, with the evil scheme’s presence appearing at about the same time, so Team Yell, despite technically not doing anything ‘evil,’ per we, are way more memorable in their impact throughout the game in my opinion.
I think that was all evil groups gen 1-8/9? If not do a fallow up vid about the newer groups in the newer games, unless you coved all here and all that is left is Pokémon Masters, wich hopefully you will do one on Team Break and other villains in it.

The reason why Oleana has a Garbodor: She grew up very poor until Chairman Rose took her in, so her only friend at the time was a literal garbage Pokémon. Even though she is rich now, she still sees Garbodor as her friend. It's also a metaphor for how she is beautiful and feminine on the outside, but absolutely garbage on the inside.
