Thank you. I'm learning Material X and your videos are one of the best. Continue on this path!! XD

Nice tutorial! Are there any scene files?

Awesome, thank you so much for this. Do you have any tutorials on how to create a circular gradient? for some reason this is super hard in Houdini. Thanks.

Hey, that displacament you messed up. You basically converted disp map to normals and then took only one channel of this vector, its completely different thing. You should plug value that comes into "height to normal" and wire thisi nto displacemnt

Thank you for all your useful videos!
Could you make one about double-sided material creation in Karma and how to apply it?

that's a lot of fun. reminds me of Keyshot material nodes

Not sure if there are any downsides to it, but there is also a "USD Transform 2D" node that does translation, scale and rotate on 2d textures! (It might replace the muktiply, add and rotate nodes you are using here)

I keep forgetting about that node. Thanks for reminding me😊

    Great stuff.
Can you bake the 2D result and use it as texture for faster performance?

I don't know if karma can bake textures.

cant believe the industry is going backward with this materialx. as if we needed more complexity and another standard to lay next to the others.
we had huge procedural shaders using RSL in renderman like ages ago. Now they are ported to OSL , but it seems we need to reinvent the wheel over and over again.
