Tony was like a walking encyclopaedia. He was breathtaking in full flow and not having witnessed Nye Bevan in the flesh, I can say without doubt, Tony Benn was the greatest orator I have ever heard. When you think of great speakers, you think of Bevan, Wilson, Foot and Benn. Not a single Tory. Why is that? No courage of conviction? Probably. Travel easy, comrade.

100% agree. He’d have been a great ally to Corbyn, especially against the disgraceful smears of anti-Semitism made against him.

Everything you said is true nationalism is dangerous and best answer about ageing, whatever comes with it embrace and enjoy it that's the way to age of course with use of humour all the way. Delightful answers. Overjoyed.

It should also be remembered that although Tony Benn wasn't a nationalist, he was a Brexiteer. Internationalism doesn't entail wanting to be in the EU.

Absolutely agree with you mate. I was a Lexiteer like Tony Benn, because the EU isn’t democratic and is a neoliberal institution under the influence of big corporations.

God I miss this man, he could have been the best Prime Minister Britain ever had.
